      @@joe1071 if we haven’t had too much rain. It’s usually only 8-10 inches deep. Cars go up there all the time. The parking lot for high shoals is up there

      Curtis H lol it got quite annoying! It ended up being a bad rear control arm bushing as well as shockingly squeaky rear sway bar links. Sadly, my JK has begun to squeak also 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Finally 9 minutes into it you see the liberty .. guy needs at least limited slip in rear to do those trails w ease .. keeping momentum is key w open diffs..

    Lockers before lift if you want to go offroad. Mall crawling, buy the lift first.

      wewll most cars will probably need a lift to fit some bigger tires. Lockers aint going to do shit if you dont have enough clearance or terrain appropriate tires.

    that liberty is solid and everyone wonders why i keep putting money into my liberty the frame is heavy and solid BUILT MERCEDES-BENZ tough yeah ive put a new engine in mine and tranny and new CV axles and new front propshaft but ive took it off roading down by the white river here in indiana and dude that liberty is the most solid little 4x4 suv you can get and i refuse to give it up.

    That liberty didnt have traction control and brake lock diffs that make a huge difference , but was only equipped in the 06 and later model years 👍

    Holy hell that was a class in terrible lines for vehicles with open diffs. I've had a KJ CRD ( lock-rite rear diff ) and it would have WALKED all of that just like the single Rubicon did.
    You guys need to spend less money on lifts and gegaws and more money on axles.

      Totally agree with your comment, those were awful lines and approached to slow as well. I have a 2006 dakota 4X4 ext cab stock and a 04 cr-v that I have driven through rougher terrain, quicker and without suffering the teeter totter seen here. Pick up the pace guys, you'll have more fun and learn some new physics skills along the way.

    I had an '06, if you have to have a KJ, the Renegades are the ones to get! I had a blast with it upstate NY. Put 31" Duratracs and it handled a foot of snow with no problem. Of course, I aired down. I'd much rather have a KJ Renegade than any 4 dr limo Turdler. At least Libbys were meant to have 4 doors. Can't stand those 4 dr rolling tampons!

    I wheel and DD a '07 KJ with 3" lift and 33s.... just blew the front diff all to hell on a rock climb. The front aluminum differentials are junk haha also busted the rack and pinion bracket. The rear 8.25 is a strong capable axle, throw a lunch box locker in there and can get thru/ over a lot of stuff. with an experienced off roader be=hind the wheel The kj works well and is a lot of fun off road. ....And abundance of them in the scrap yard for parts \m/

    Drop a lunch box in the rear of the KJ and it will do magic. I know mine dose
    Still tossing up if I should pop one in the front or go for a manual Locker as I leave it in FULL Time 4x4 As it just drives nicer in AWD mode.

    Camera guy picking some horrible lines there. More of a hindrance than a help
    Look at the 13:30 mark.... That ditch should've been under the middle of the Jeep and then all 4 tyres would've had contact
    "Back it up and bump it" does not a good spotter make

    tun on traction control on that liberty...ABS needs to stop the spinning wheel so the open diff will engage the other wheel...

    A detroit locked rear axle and shes good to go.. even with that IFS front axle and a unibody frame. LOL... maybe. For the price Id stick with an XJ Cherokee.

      Yes! If I had his numbered I'd buy it myself. If you keep the rust off it you could get to 250,000 miles out of a jeep liberty with proper oil changes and normal ware and tears

    Do you know what has been done to the liberty? I have a 03 liberty limited edition 4X4 and I’m looking to do some mods and I want to know what has been done and how much it all costed in the end? Do you have any idea how much was spent?

      I can tell you from experience, having 4x4 in that jeep just adds that much more dependability.
      A set off offroad tires and picking the best line is all you need.
      I have the 02 liberty sport.
      RWD only and ive gone up and down some crazy trails with no issues. I even have the side rails on hahaha, thing is a beast! Always check your joints though.
      Few Recalls were issued for them as well as the window regulators, airbag sensor, and gas tank for rear end explosions because the gas tank is in the crush zone.
      Figured id mention it in case you didnt know.

    What type of lift do you recommend on my 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade? I do mean Liberty Renegade, most try correcting me by saying it's either Liberty or Renegade. They don't understand there is a Liberty Renegade model, that came before the Renegade.

      Rebel Jeep I had a two wheel drive liberty a few years back and I had the Rock Krawler 3.5 on it. It’s a spacer lift but it allowed room for 33s and provided great flex. Not sure if it’s still being made. If your budget allows, check out Jeepin By Al. Pricy but best lifts for liberties

      Rebel Jeep no all liberty models were offered in 4x4. The renegade was available as a two wheel drive as well. The suspension on the 4x4 and 2x4 are basically the same as far as front coil overs go

    Doesnt that Liberty have a LSD diffferencial on the back? With a little hand brake to engage the diff clutch and u should be on your way.

      Allen Lanham naw man those liberties are tough. What people don’t understand is from my perspective the only way to get up stuff was to bump it due to the lack of articulation compared to a solid axle rig

      Contact JBA or RockyRoad those two are the leaders for lifts on Liberty’s. I hear Jeepin By Al has the better customer service, but I personally haven’t purchased a lift yet. Im very happy with my rock slides by Rocky Road.

      Rocky road says you can’t go over a 3 inch lift for the liberty or you will have problems with your CV joints. Jeepinbyal sells lifts that are taller than 3 inches. So I don’t know if he has found a solution to the problem or is just selling something that will break your car in the long run?

      Sorry for the late reply....honestly if you’re taking a two wheel drive KJ and wanting to swap it to 4x4, the cheapest and easiest way would be just to go solid axle swap

      NorthStar Racing it wasn’t mine, but it was running a set of JK Rubicon takeoffs. So they were 255/70/17
