    Basic fighting stance and movement form the foundation for both offensive and defensive movements. The beginning muay thai student should spend ample time working on this vital foundation. Staying light on the feet and relaxing the muscles permits faster execution of movements. The fighter should not cross the feet while moving. Guard should be kept up at all times.
    Where should the fighter focus his gaze? The chest area of the opponent is a good starting point, but the fighter should try to keep his peripheral vision active to be able to defend against any attack the opponent might throw.

      The dude has been doing muay thai since a small kid in Thailand. All those years of jumping rope and training hard combined with good genetics, that's the formula for calves like that 😉

    hi! I like this video, but i just saw another video saying the front leg should be at a 45 degree angle....is this correct or should it be straight??

      I know nothing about Muay Thai but I’m learning and I heard doing roundhouse kicks on hard surfaces will grow muscles on shins and foot

      ​@@balqisali3300I wouldn't do that. We aren't designed to hit really hard stuff. Even the whole Thai fighters kicking trees thing was because banana trees are very soft
