i did 9 1/2 years as a chain and rigging certifier in New Zealand with a portable 30tn testbed in my van so could test up to 20mm chains anywhere in the country on site - also had 15 years wire rope making and machine splicing experience as well and the stuff you guys are doing blows away the size of just abound anything i handled. biggest chain set i made up was 36mm chain sets for lifting bridge beams. awesome video guys thanks
Massive rigging supplies. I've never seen ropes, cables, slings, and chains that big.
Really impressive.
Very nice showcase of top quality products, capabilities & hard working people. Glad to see it made in Houston, Texas too!
this is one great company everything is high quality ALL MADE IN THE U.S.A WAY TO GO!!
theodore scott and all the rest is a cesspool country. President included.
Chuckle. Good ole Houston, working there in the summertime, Gonna be hot and humid!
Keep the great job! Greetings from Rwanda.
love seeing those stress failure test.
The destructive tests in the beginning, wonderful for anxiety disorders.
Before putting it to service , wire rope slings that been mechanically splice have to undergo proof load test , safe working will be stamp on the ferrule and asme code certificate will be issue from manufacturer . Ancilliary gear have thier own stamp mark casted on thier body
Holy fuck. 10 MILLION Pounds. Wow that would take a massive rope to withstand that before you had to upgrade the machine
Este video me hace pensar y soñar en grande, Saludos desde Honduras 👍👍👍
Now I know what Guillermo’s day job is!
That place is awsome American made at its BEST

Great video .. I would like to know the Safe Working Load for the four part braided wire rope sling at 3:26 :)
Cockroach Col Cannon that is actually one of our specialty 9-part slings. What you see at 3:26 is a 4” 9-part sling rated 972tons at a vertical capacity.
Don't Mess with Texas.
Great video! What size has your biggest shakle?
1700 tons Marc. GN is the manufacturer of that shackle.

Why can’t they make a simple wire rope that’ll last for the snow plow attachment, using my 3500 lb winch, on my quad....they last about 200 cycles - in/out before they break at the loop
What application was that enormous sling for? It's gotta be maritime. Am I right?
Maritime is one of the applications, yes. But they are also being used in construction projects.
Weaklings need not apply
I'll bet they are relly tired at the end of the day. this is hard back breaking work
In Houston summer too boot!
it's texas.
after work they BBQ, bang their wives, and shoot some .50 cals in their backyards.
super
Wow

WWV Worlds Worst Video, made by a speed freak??? where are thes hackles from the cover pic
Definitely not the world's worst video but it did have a little clickbait
your obviously blind they did have the bow shackles shown in the pic (look at around 4min mark) those are around 1500Tn shackles so not click bait
@@Weetbix1969 Sorry Weeties didnt have the patience to sit thru a "speed Freak vid"
Get rid of the STUPID music!
It doesn't make our viewing experience any better than if having got to hear the actual sounds of the machines and process.
...and try learning to talk so you can narrate the video by telling us some details of the processes!
I muted mine and played MP3s with Media Player, just sayin'... ;)
@@foxfurr
Hi...no problem :o) and yeah we all know there is a volume and mute button but the point is we want to hear the actual sounds of the machines and processes
very very impressive how many different sorts of lifting material is here manufactured and custom made built. thanks for uploading!
...Thank You for taking the time to make this excellent video presentation.....I used quite a few steel cable slings, synthetic rope slings and straps....but nothing like these .....!
Really impressive set up and end to end Solutions for every customer .
Now we're talking, love stuff like this.I so want to see the test
Awesome stuff!
Excellent work
All over the world good, hard working women and men are making modern life possible. As a species,we suck at governance and ecological accountability, but we are a wonder at making clever, and it seems, ever larger things to move really big stuff. To those who want to know the roots of this industry I recommend the book," The Great Bridge". It's by David Mccullough and it's about the Brooklyn bridge.
The company I work for has stopped using the word division and now uses the word team. Food for thought.
Gotta love my city HTX 🤘🏼
I have a clevis (what you see @ 4:00) on my keyring. I had no idea they are made that large. Holy S**t!
those big ones are around 1500Tn Bow Shackles, have seen some made by Nobles Australia and are around 6ft tall

Can you imagine the massive equipment that uses these things?
When you lift some very heavy loads you need heavy lifting equipment to lift your heavy lifting equipment.
2:20 Those guys separating the strands are getting a WORKOUT.
Great factory......amaizing
Forging?or are some materials brought in?btw some nice rigging
Sipping yard toys and iron worker rigging. Those steel chokers will take ya damn head off if you don’t use ropes to fasten them to the hook lol . Don’t miss those days at all
Good !!!
Wow !!!.................Jay
Thanks
I work in the field of making wire rope (closing). if you need workers, I will give you the best quality
Very Well
Some commentary would be nice
O teste de resistência é top
Wide body shackles or any shackle body mustn't be painted, except the pin ear
That Paint Flaking off tells ya there have been stresses applied and an x-ray maybe needed... just an observation
4:33 thicc shackle dayum
That is a 1750ton GN shackle you are looking at.
Holloway Houston Inc. Thanks for sharing. That is absolutely massive.

good
what stops wire ropes rusting away quickly?
Rose White Grease helps, nothing is permanent.
perhaps nickel, chromium, titanium, and other decent metals in the presumably iron alloy?
cool ass music excellent chokers and sling makers,,....I guess you make the rigging for the Lampson Big Blue Cranes...?
Hey, thanks for compliments. We fabricate the rigging for many clients and crane companies, we wouldn't be surprised if they use our slings.
You are welcome...I'm sure Ive used your rigging as a Union Structural Ironworker ...Ive worked for about 300 contractors in 38 years...And i always wondered how they were made , because we could not erect without your Rigging..LOL...Work safe...
покажите как трос заплетают
I'd like 10 3,000lb shackles please.

This is what i like about Texas. Not for the faint of heart, no pussy shit like California

A less commercialized video without the stupid music could make more consumers, just saying. Now it looks and sounds like a cheap tv-ad in the early 90-s.
