- This 1968 Shelby Mustang GT350 Convertible had been sitting since the early 80s. The owners father had a 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible in yellow that he preferred, so this one sat in the back of the garage for decades. Unfortunately he passed and the owner sold the GT500KR from the barn and kept the GT350 for the time being. While I was there someone bought the car though, and he said it would be mechanically restored, as the car was all original paint and interior!
This wasn't a barn find like I usually work with, but it had been sitting in a garage for more than many others. This garage find is definitely quite unique nowadays to say the least! I had not documented a Shelby since 2021!

I've seen that car in my dreams since 1968!!!!
There is a 72 Corvette sitting just like this that's been sitting two roads behind my house since 2001. I've been dreaming of buying it since I found it earlier this year, 69 4speed Corvette is my dream car but anything close (68-72) Id love to get my hands on.
Spec:
1 Owner, 1972, Red (Original Paint and in very nice condition), 4 speed, 350, T-Top.
45,000 Original Miles.
Here's hoping something happens in the future!
The guy that bought made a Great deal. That's $180-225k car. Awesome find.
Beautiful time capsule. Since she previously sold her dad’s GT500 KR convertible, I assume she already knew what she has. I hope she got what is is worth. As other folks said, the price seems a little low.
Eh, it's a GT350.... not as desirable.
So Awesome Ryan! You have my dream job man! Love all of your finds and videos. Getting to wander around MCACN in the middle of the night with few people there is the stuff my dreams are made of. Stay Blessed brother!
Thank you! It's definitely not boring.
Epic find!
Holy cow ! Facebook marketplace ? That’s cool nuts !
Right?!
Thank you for sharing.
"Last of his Shelby's"
That's a flex if I've ever heard one.
He had a 68 Shelby GT500KR Vert as well!
Very cool and clean!!
I agree!
I love those elongated oval air cleaners !
They are sweet
That's very cool! How do you come across these finds?
I hope you got a chance to talk to Jim Murphy and Bob J while you were at MCACN.
Is the GT350 for sale?
Art-in1968 the engine was a 302.
Ryan can you tell is more about the yellow KR???
I don't know much more, I never saw it.
Oh wow, very cool!!!! 👍👍
Thank you 🤗
Nice
If my 1972 Triumph quits leaking it means its out of oil.
When you're videoing these cars have you ever scratched one or broken something on one? What did the owner do?
Nope, been very careful
I didnt know they made a GT350 convertible.
Yup!
I'm curious Auto Geologist, were you over to look at the car thinking to buy it yourself when the other guy showed up to look at it??? Edit: sorry - Archeologist!
I was there looking at it for a friend who likes red Shelby Convertibles.
Is it forsale
The GT350 engine was a hi performance 289, NOT 302
From 1967 onwards it was a 302 in the GT350
Now that’s a rare one but I personally think Shelby’s are overrated. Still very cool to see.
