    Another difference on the MAX between the types is their propulsion i.e. types 2-6 aka the Siemens types have/will have 3-phase AC induction motors and IGBT-VVVF inverter control, whereas the Bombardier type 1 has DC motors and chopper control.
    The types 2 and 3 are also known as the Siemens SD660 and originally the SD600, and they were in fact only built for Portland.
    The type 4 is a Siemens S70, and because it was introduced in 2009, it doesn't have that sweep-like sound as it powers up upon departure unlike the Siemens S700 type 5.

    And on the MAX, there are 2 announcer voices i.e. the female voice does the English announcements and the male voice does the Spanish announcements.

    Are you ready to see the Type 6s? They are also going to be Siemens S700s like the Type 5s, and are set to replace the high-floor Bombardier Type 1s as they are:
    * not long enough for the system; or
    * accessible (hence why they often mix the Type 1s with Type 2s or 3s)

    Which MAX tram would you say is your favourite?
    * Bombardier high-floor type 1
    * Siemens SD660 type 2
    * Siemens SD660 type 3
    * Siemens S70 type 4
    * Siemens S700 type 5

    2:10 why is that operator not wearing a mask? Probably for a health reason

      I noticed it too. I have no idea why he didn't wear a mask. He probably got a vaccination or something...

      @@adventuresofamtrakcascades301 Because if you have a certain disability, illness, or mental or physical health condition, as long as you carry either:
      * a statutory declaration; or
      * a medical certificate or letter signed by a registered health practitioner - e.g. a doctor - or a registered NDIS provider
      - that means you're exempt so you don't need to wear a mask. *Children aged 2 to 12 years* don't either have to wear a mask but are encouraged to wear one where practicable. *Children under 2 years* must _not_ wear masks since they’re a choking and suffocation risk.
