If Jerry Krause had resigned his post after the 72-10 season, he would've gone out on top and would probably be remembered as a hero in Chicago sports. Sad that things turned out the way they did.

He didn’t help himself in regards to his image. That said, the cue that fans took from MJ culminated in booing his name at the recent Ring of Honor was horrible. That just killed his poor widow.

He put the pieces together and then the pieces did their thing. They needed each other but egos on both sides got in the way. I at least I hope Jordan in his quiet moments realizes that Krause while he probably a jerk that his job wasn't something that anyone could do. And how lucky he was to have his greatness magnified by him.
Krause was a mastermind no doubt abt it Michael Jordan is the greatest to play the game but your right both their egos conflicted each other and it broke up something really special

I'm sure he wasn't nearly as bad as Jordan told people to think he was. Also, he was a high-up businessman. It wasn't his job to get along with everybody. Outside of his job, I'm sure he was a very nice guy.

@@richardallen7509 Reinsdorf is worse IMO. Sat back and let his employees do all the work. Didn't want to pay players or Phil Jackson. Let Krause take all the hate for decisions he had final say over. There's even an interview where he says "I just hired the right people and let them do what they knew how to do". Became richer than all of them except Jordan for doing less work. Krause doesn't come close to Reinsdorf for bad people in the Bulls organization. BTW he's still the man in charge. One ECF appearance since the '90s. Said he'd trade all his Bulls rings for one White Sox one. If you don't Krause he's like the friendly neighbor next door compared to the other Jerry's sins in the organization.
