    These front ends are nightmares. I replaced everything but main ball joints (tight and show no signs of looseness) in our 2012 Pursuit, still rattles and pops. Took to a shop, they tightened up everything I replaced, changed out the strut mounts (top caps of the struts) which got rid of the popping when backing and turning left, but still rattles when at low speeds over bumps. Here's a good thing to check: the sway bar, check the steel retainer rings where the rubber bushings go...they can hit the steel mounts when the car sways left and/or right...tap them out away from the mounts a bit...they're pressed on, just tap evenly until they slide on the bar. That's one clunk I got rid of. The other rattles, no idea. Maddening.

    I'm having the same issue on my 2016 Dodge Charger. But the noise is coming from driver side . The noise only happens like when I go over a speed bump or up the driveway.

    If you haven't changed sway bar end links buy two and change them. Cause I had to when I first bought mine. Changed them went away but now I think my sway bar bushings are shot.

    I have changed the entire front end and had the clunk as well. I finally took off an outer tie rod and had both front wheels off the floor. My rack and pinion is making the noise. push in the rack and pinion rods and you'll feel the messed-up bearing inside of it. I was sick and tired of that noise too. The rack and pinion is over $1000. Try it and see if you figure the problem. Please keep us posted but I am sure that is the problem with yours too. I have a 2015 RT Road and Track by the way with the electric rack and pinion by the way.

      @savannahhirano Před 3 lety

      Funnily enough my ‘15 RT Road and Track Plus just started doing the same thing yesterday. All of a sudden any time the car is under 35mph there is a clunking coming from the front, both around the left and right wheels, so in my case something suspension related.

    • @MrCareerplanning
      @MrCareerplanning Před 3 lety +1

      @@savannahhirano I lifted the front end and stabilized the car with jack stands. I moved the wheels hard enough from left to right and I would hear the clunk. My dad and I chased it down and we found the electric rack and pinion to be the culprit. It sounds like some kind of bearing is bad right where the steering wheel shaft joins the rack and pinion. I have already replaced the upper and lower control arms, struts, all stabilizer bars all bushings, and ball joints. The clunk was still there and when I did this test, I heard the noise at the rack and pinion. Good luck with yours. One way to test it is to lift it, remove on outer tie rod end then turn the wheel left to right and you'll feel the loose bearing.

      @@savannahhirano Watch his other video where he says he found the problem. Mine is not anything he is talking about, mine is the rack and pinion.

    We’re having that same issue with our Dodge Journey SXT it rattles on the passenger side when pressing the gas and it’s annoying very 6:32p.m.

  • @angelinabratley-alvarado913

    Mine made the same thing sounding like something heating. I could not figure it out until the dealership told me. It ended up being my mud flaps around the finder of the tire.

      Look at my newer video I discuss this as well from the mud flaps, brake dust shield, exhaust clamps and all. Glad I found the fix after fishing for the sound and spending tons of money.

    Dang, I can't hear anything.
    And I'm listening on my TV speakers.
    If you paid a shop to install all those parts, I would say take it back to them.
    Maybe they are responsible for getting an answer.

      Its like a chattering noise I'm almost certain it could be the stabilizer bar bushings gone bad or the bolt for the end link is bad.

    Same problem here, replaced every suspension component in the front and rear still makes a clunky noise on bumps. Motor mounts, a chassis failure? I don't know

      It can be a numerous of things. Brake shield, stabilizer bar bushings, bad struts, exhaust clips, etc. In my case is the struts. Everything else was inspected and good.
