    I've been shooting since 2008.
This is an INCREDIBLE explanation of how firearms work.
Just in case you didn't know this, but all things being equal, you're allowed to build your own firearms & it's perfectly legal to do in the US.
You cannot sell it without serializing it & some other things, but you do NOT have to do anything special like this if you have built your own firearm for yourself.
With the 3D printer becoming more & more popular, people are building their own arsenals.
Some are replicas of existing guns & others are combinations & even others are originals!
This video gives you the proper perspective to understand what goes into this. As you learn about other firearms systems & how they work, you will build upon the ideas that others have used in their designs & who knows, you might make the next game changer like Eugene Stoner (AR-15) or Mikhail Kalashnikov (AK-47).
    GREAT VIDEO!!!

Damn - the soldier pushing the en-bloc clip into the M1 without holding the bolt handle back doesn't just walk on the edge - he lives there )

For most submachine guns the trigger stops the bolt. The firing pin is PART of the bolt and strikes the primer with the force a spring at the back of the bolt provides. The trigger is the only mechanism that locks the bolt. This leads to an extremely simple fully automatic weapon.
