This video explains how to wire your own IEC Power Connection with an Illuminated on/off Rocker Switch. You can purchase this kit from our DIY store here: creationmusiccompany.com/iec-p...
After 7 years your video still helping out. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to wire just a 2 wire rocker, even though your video was 3 wire, you explained about the double neutral being for the light and isn't necessary for 2 wire. I could not find any other video to explain this as precisely as yours. Thanks
Thanks so much for doing this! I was completely stuck on getting this done right and your explanation cleared the hurdles for me. And.....next time I'm coming to Creation for my pedal board needs. :)
Great video sir! Been looking for one that was this straightforward. Working with electricity can be very daunting if not fully educated. This helped solve one of the biggest questions for my build.
Very clear, instructional video. How would I wire the rocker switch to illuminate from a wall plug but not pass power? I have a device the only needs to see an open/close and not receive power but would still like to see the illuminated light on the switch.
Nice video, only suggestion I would make would be to test with a multimeter the end of the wire going to the device you are powering to make sure all of your connections are good and no shorts.
Great! simple and clean, I can't explain better... only thing i don't understand it's the rocker switch it's just place without retain? personally I use a "tube cutter" slower but safer (for my finger lol) then use normal cutter on power cable
This is a great video! It's giving me some ideas. Can you recommend any tutorial that would demonstrate how to use this method with the line 6 hx stomp pedal?
This might be a stupid question, but which side of your setup would the load be on, and which side would the wall receptacle be on? Just want to make sure I understand it correctly because I am placing the rocker switch between the wall and my power supply. Thanks!
Thank you very much for this. Very well done video! I have a question about the number of power supplies you can connect to the same switch? For example, I have 2 power supplies one 4X4 voodoolab and 1 ISO 5 .

I don't know why I didn't consider using spade connectors, I soldered all my connections. your method is safer and easier to take apart! Thanks
This tutorial is spot on. I just waited my board, and it was painless and successful. Thanks!

Hey John, If I have an un-illuminated switch with a separate indicator light, what would be the appropriate way to wire it all up?
