  • I was unaware that scuba from the shore was against lake regulations at the time. I was made aware after this video that you may only scuba dive from boats and not enter from the shore. This issue has been rectified. Do not make the same mistake I did.
    This was a trip to Silverwood lake where I dove twice. Once in the evening on the day of arrival and once in the morning the very next day. The stay was extremely nice and quiet. Very amazing spot to get away to!
    The dives were both very cold and I suggest wearing a semi dry to scuba this lake.

    I started going here when it opened. I was a five year old kid. This was my dad's favorite place and of course mine now too. Thank you for a new way of seeing the lake i could only dream of. Ive spent hours snorkeling there throughout the years but obviously thats a limited experience. Hopefully you go again and possibly Perris as well. Thanks again!

    That was so awesome!!! I’ve been fishing that lake since the age of 5, I am 56 now. My dad took me the for my 1st fishing trip 👍I’ve loved lake fishing ever since. The place you can find a lot of fish would be by the Gazebo swimming side at the buoy line. I catch fish there in the summer when people are swimming. Thank you so much for this outstanding video!!! I went scuba diving in Silverwood years ago since I live in the area, but I went in over by Pilot Rock, & like you I didn’t dive where the small town is located though I wish I had, but it may be important to note: Sport Scuba Diving was not permitted here when I went in back in the 90s. Great post thank you, it makes me think I might have to go back, keep them coming, you rock!

      I never realized you couldn’t dive here either. I made that mistake. Was it much clearer back a few years ago? I want to see that town so bad now that everyone keeps talking about it

    • @Gloppp
      @Gloppp Před 10 měsíci

      No, it was very poor visibility back then too, which seemed odd at the time but I assume it was because Silverwood is such an active lake, but who knows right? And honestly the better lake to dive in the area is Lake Arrowhead (also illegal to dive) but there is an old saw mill in its depths, but it's clear & there is quite a bit of bounty to find beneath the private docks since it is a well to do area. Shoot you can even visit Lake Arrowhead Village too & make a day of it.

      Go deeper to see the town Im going to be scuba diving into this lake as I live not far from it but if the town is deeper than 90ft then its in tech diving / deep diving depth and that would need the use of a breathing gas called Heliox or TriMix " heliox is a gas that is a mix of Helium and Oxygen, TriMix is a gas that is a mix of Helium, Nitrogen, and Oxygen" depending on how deep you go and for how long you plan to stay down for requires these tech. Gasses to avoid getting Diving Illneses such as D.C.S. Decompression sickness "The Bends", oxygen Toxcisity, and Nitrogen Narcosis so to respond to " Go Deeper" you must not be a diver or you would know that in some cases deeper is not possible and if it is needs more planning and special certificates in order to get your tanks filled with special gas mixtures not just the normal air typicaly in a dive tank..
