Don't worry, those Mercedes V12s are like 3 Toyota Camry 4 Cylinders welded together. They can run a few hundred miles with no oil, no problem 😐
I hope you're right about that, Sam 😂
😂
@@WaldosWorld Plz plz plz dont become another samcrac, I've been watching him years and can't remember the last time he finished a project.
Oh snap.
And really looking forward to the S600 content!!
This guy could be mega youtuber if he could post more content. Love it when he does.
True, but he does need to start finishing stuff 😅
I appreciate it and I definitely agree!
If there is enough moola to go thru this field of vehicles without filing for bankruptcy.
mega youtubers lose their character once the fame hits. happens all the time. its better he stays low key and take his time between uploads
I don't know why but this is probably my favourite CZcams channel, so please don't change the formula/topics! Yes would be nice to have more uploads but if this is the rate that works then all good 👍
What you need the most is the proper shed / garage where you could work on hot, cold, wet, stormy days... and the XJ looks like a nice addition to the fleet.
the lift concrete pads are super sketch!
What xj?
I believe the jaguar is an XJ. Not the Jeep kind of XJ unfortunately
People need to stop asking when a project will be finished... my man Waldo is living his best life with undiagnosed ADHD, enjoying every minute of new, impulsive projects. Completion is irrelevant. 😂
As a person diagnosed at a young age, I'd say he has it.
I came to the comments for this exact reason! If I could, I'd be living the same life!
@@addamochs I really doubt anyone's ability with ADD to decipher unfamiliar wiring diagrams and regularly read through manuals for machinery.
This channel could be far by now if content was posted regularly. Love your content from South Africa.
Building a proper work area (shop) should be high on the list.
With you being a jack of all trades type of person I don't envy the complications that setting up your shop will be... but I'm curious how you will deal with it.
Not that he needs another project added on but fixing excavator, doing a quick-connect style pin system & getting (new)hammer for it sorted out. Then he'll be able to dig foundation & footers for the new concrete for the new shop. Idk, it's a lot of money to put a building up, might have to start off in the (way too small) 'barn' hes got now, maybe pour a legit floor or at very least put a tamped crusher run 'base' down to have a solid floor to work on.
Id have started with a shop. Concrete pad with a pole barn or I beam construction. Best way for the type of work he does would be have one corner framed in as a “clean room” workshop for electronics work and small workbench jobs- a door to access from outside and then bay doors into the main shop for heavy work and storage.
As many others have said, Sir please post more regularly. I think even a quick 5 to 10 minutes video every 2 weeks helps
Need to see the trailer get finished
Man i get so excited when i see you upload. Something about the way u do things and the videos makes it so enjoyable. U have so much stuff to do and so much content to get out of it. If only you had an editor who would do the editing for you while you just film. Having so many projects also means u can film different stuff while you wait for parts. Can't wait for the next upload :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who don't finish projects!! I enjoy the content! God Bless!!
The LR3: There is a factory repair bulletin for a leak in the A pillar that sounds like you have. LR time did a video on it a while back. The repair is a small sticker over a hole from memory. Love the update, keep up the good work :) Cheers, Steve in New Zealand
Helpful input. I've seen that video too. Nasa Tape solves that problem by removing the outer skin of the A pillar to expose the hole. Waldo must try that.
Agreed. Sounds like the issue given it’s happening on both sides. Poor design for sure! LR Time has your fix.
Shame as when they are sorted they are such nice vehicles. Especially the 4.4 V8.
Waldo , I am blown away by all the projects you have going on . Your days must have more than 24 hours in them ???? P.S. You do nice work
Man, you got my hopes up that the 12 cylinder was a 12V71 Detroit. They sound amazing
Oooh, that would be cool! I might get one someday 🤠
Congratulations on 300k , ! Seems a long time ago working on the 353 detroit , Be very interesting the v12 , lets hope its not seized, thanks for sharing Waldo. !
Thank you so much Steve!
Love your content brother. Inspiring me to want my own shop. When i was 16 this is kinda stuff i wanted to do but life got in the way. Living my dream through you.
Wow Waldo!!! I hadn't realized that you had acquired so many projects!!!! You've got a lot to keep you busy!!!💯😁
Good to see you back, Waldo. Congrats on the 300k, I’ve been here since Dyna first started. 👍
Thanks Greg!
Do you have a full time job .The reason I ask that could be why your not uploading Ty .@@WaldosWorld
Dear Mr. Waldo.
👍👌👏 Thanks a lot for the complete update. Poor old Harvey was the reason why I started watching your channel. In my personal opinion you should really put a dump bed on this semi. A dump truck could be really helpful on your property. Additionally you can still use it to haul projects. Maybe go the easier way and buy a new dump bed (like J.C. Smith projects often did). Or maybe even buy a used one. 2) Please don't act like too many other utubers = please finish stuff. And yes, I totally agree with the commenting viewers: You should really have respectively build yourself a proper workshop. 3) I'm eagerly looking forward to watch you hammering these big rocks to pieces. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
There is a pocket behind the battery on the LR3 that kept filling up like a lake on the one we had. It was ridiculous. That could be leaking down behind the firewall and onto the passenger side floor.
Hey that v12 could still be good. The hole may have come from being moved around the auction yard. The reason I say this is because I couldnt see a low oil pressure warning on that cluster, though it is a very limited picture in terms of field of view. I would also think with a digital display that there would be a big neon warning for oil pressure as well as a check engine light. Having the battery disconnected maybe it has cleared the memory of the vehicle, BUT it may be worth it to hook a scanner and see if any codes are stored. I work for Daimler on the Freightliner side and if theres anything that Mercedes does best, its log fault codes lol
I did hook a scanner up and there were no codes due to the battery being dead 👍
On W221s the low oil pressure would come up in the centre screen (theres no actual light) so as far as the picture goes its getting oil pressure.
Finally..... a video!
Great update vid. Looking forward to all these project continuations and the new ones that keep coming
You and me have the most similar taste in cars than any other youtuber! I Absolutely love big, long wheel-base European sedans and I also love GMT800 trucks! I own a 2000 Silverado 2500 (my first car) and I was inspired by your flatbed build and now I'm currently searching for a good deal on a nice, used, Bradford built flat-bed for my truck that I can fix up and make nice. Your channel is by far in a way my favorite out there, it also feels a little less unspoiled because of the smaller audience. But no matter, I wish you great success!
When it comes time to work on the S600, get ahold of Legit Street Cars on You Tube. He is a Mercedes guru. He has lots of content on the S600. They are extremely complicated engines that require specialized tools and knowledge. Thanks For the update video. You are gonna need to build a sand blaster for that gooseneck.
Thanks for the update. You have some exciting projects, I hope you can finished them all and get us some content
My friend, you've got more irons in the fire than a community pasture cattle branding!
Waldo this was a great update! I've been following mostly your Merc, Range Rover, and LR3 fixes. I would love to see more videos on the LR3 and all you had to do to it and spend on it. I was thinking of picking up one of those myself as I like the vehicle so much. 🙂
Its always nice to see new video from you but it feels like you dont upload much anymore, love your content and those in depth videos from each project.
Love your content Waldo and great video of fleet upload.
Congratulations on 300k SUBS 😊
I always look forward to your uploads 😉
Thanks Waldo for the update, enjoy all your videos
This guy is more busy than a two peckered goat. This project, that project. God bless him. Dude must be a mad man having all that to do and keeping track of it all.
Oh how much I like your channel Waldo! And these MB W221's are just gorgeous! Looking forward to the next video!
Soooo excited about the S600! As a Mercedes owner and huge fan, I LOVE the Mercedes videos!!!!!! Amazing cars! Do more!!!! As always, great job!
Great video Waldo. Nice to see Aspen keeping the chipmunks from upstaging you. 😂😂
Couple things if I may. When you do the rock crushing, have the front window covered with screen. That material can shrapnel on you.
Second, with your plow truck, even tho it’s a 1500 weigh the back down. We used to use railroad tracks. Because we were local we didn’t worry about the overload. It was about traction. We had an old F350 plow on a 71 Chevy blazer with the tracks boxed in the back.
Third on VANessa- check fuel filter. They get restrictive quickly. Burns up the pumps and you have loss of power. Also check the air intake by the butterflies for carbon and sticking. Also on the sensors on intake. Just need some carb cleaner to remedy that.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the update - lots of very interesting stuff to look forward to.
Cant wait for more videos. Ive been rewatching old ones cuz this is by far my favorite channel.
Waldo, I’m looking forward to watching your upcoming videos. Take care and I’ll see you down the road…
You forgot the Backhoe😬🙋🏼♂️ since i saw your First Videos its my Favorit CZcams Channel! There should be more content , you are a very cool guy 🤙🏼
Just with the water leak on Wanda your LR 3 I have a LR 3 and the water leaks came from 2 main sources - under the windscreen pillar covers (need to reseal all holes properly especially bottom one) and sun roof drains blocking or breaking. You can either replace these or if that fails run them into air con drain (as one goes behind fuse box and is a real pain to access). Don't give up! Try the windscreen pillar fix - it is quick and easy.
Waldo, Looking forward to you coming back. We haven't seen you in a while.
Your list of projects looks great.
I love your videos! I will be referring back to your truck bed build video quite a bit when I finally save up enough for a decent welding truck base. Keep doing awesome things!
I love your content. This is what I would love to do a couple of years down the road. I'm truly inspired by it. I wish you could upload more often.
A Waldo video !!!!! Neat all your cars have Waldo plates. You have the collection now including Jags.. Alex from LSC has a bi turbo v12 he rebuilt, looked like a total pain and he's a Benz pro. Looking for more videos. Be safe, Greg from NC.
Thanks for the updates! Looking forward to the videos.
The best youtube channel. Love the fleet update. Thank you
I feel the pain in reference to working on the Ford van. I worked on a fair amount of the E350's specifically with bucket truck conversions the company I worked for installed them and was a dealer.
Always remember Ford is owned by Snap-On tools.😊
I hope you guys are opening the doghouse in the cab, makes it way easier
Being a eec-v vehicle, it actually had stricter emissions then the later OBD2 versions.
I personally like the eec-iv vehicles, because they are modern enough to pull codes and troubleshoot, but not new enough they have all the extra emissions and wiring of a more modern vehicle.
I love your channel - it has all kinds of really useful information - I found your channel while poking around for backup diesel generators and.that video is really great for all the information you cover in it
but then I found this video and I’m really glad I did!! I hope you can get your S600 back on the road, because it’s truly a fantastic car - I owned a 2002 for several years and it was as smooth as silk - but I recently found a deal for a low-miles 2012 S550 4MATIC SWB that I just couldn’t pass up, and I hope to never to sell off
anyway, I’ve subscribed - keep up the excellent work!!
Enormous medium duty international would be soo sick
The Land Rover has a drainage tube underneath the dashboard that runs into the engine bay that can backup with debris during rain or snow fall that is why you have water on the passenger floor board it needs to be cleaned out
was waiting so long for an update and you didn't disappoint
Been a viewer since you had 33k and still quality content. Love your vids. Congrats on 300k❤
Thank you so much!
Things getting a wee bit out of hand for “projects” for my fellow NH home boy! From a 12 cylinder turbo charged S600 engine that is a box of chocolates to pulverizing granite monoliths with a clapped out excavator so lawn care becomes easier is quite a range of ambitions. I will say a prayer for your sanity! Jackson, NH 🇺🇸⚓️
Keep on keepin' on! Always eagerly await your next vid, and smile when it arrives. 🇬🇧
I love your content Waldo. Keep up the good work
This bis so funny I just watched the trailer build last night and looked that it was done 1 YEAR AGO. Glad to see the update.
In regards to the international I would still put the dump body once you chip out all those rocks you're going to need something to haul them away with
check front cowl / windshield area on that range rover, determining where water comes from is a real challange
Waldo, you have a perfect natural talent for this, hope you start making more content!
Hi Waldo, don't know if you checked this or not but a common leak point for any car with a sunroof are the drains that run down the A pillars. You can blow them out with compressed air but they usually get clogged again. That is my biggest gripe with sunroofs. You have quite a collection going on. Hope the V12 Mercedes turns out to be an easy fix. With twin turbos, that thing should move pretty good, and with style!
Yeah - looking fwd to the V12 project 😃
the only thing this channel is missing is consistency :| love the videos btw ❤
My daughter had one of these discoveries. We found it hard to keep the water out and the oil in. After spending a fortune in the dealership trying to fix the water ingress leak a neighbour (in the Land Rover club in the uk) fixed it by removing a little grill on the front right wing and repairing a drain hose from the sunroof
Harvey is my favorite. Put a dump body, you already have a medium duty flatbed. If youre gonna boost a 6.9, you need to give it a little more fuel
I'm just glad to see Aspen, in her usual frozen...pointing...stance!
Flat bed with removable side and gooseneck ball option for Harvey.
It'll be multiple use of truck.
I wish youtube was more profitable for channels like this, I know that's what the content amount comes down to. Keep it up!
Hey Waldo! Love the excavator. As someone who has just taken on my own rock destruction project, I think you're actually going to need to weaken rocks that size before using the hammer. You could definitely use the hammer, but those big granite boulders are a lot of work and hammering might not be enough. Ideally, rent a compressor and rock drill and drill holes into the rock that are 75% of the depth of the rock and then use an expansive grout like dexpan. It's not easy work, but at least you have the heavy equipment to make light work of the chipping and clean-up.
As a comparison, I started with nothing and ended up buying an expensive Bosch SDS-Max hammer drill. As good as the Bosch is, it still takes a long time to dig 2 feet holes and you need a bunch of them for the Dexpan to work effectively, I'm making it work because I don't have access to rentals or heavy equipment, but it's really not enough for big boulders. See how you go, but if you find that the hammer attachment is taking too long, that's the route I'd recommend. A good CZcams channel is @demolitiondave and he's really responsive and helpful as well.
No explosion? Booooo!
Can't wait to see the work on the V12-It is a beautiful car.
thanks for the update... didnt realize i was an og of the channel until today lol. id love to see the gooseneck finished so it can go pick up some more projects
Love the content , water leak on the lr3 may be from the rubber gromet on the sun roof drain where it exit the car at the kick panel right under the dash. Not the easiest think to get to.
Take your time, I'd rather see you do something neat and correct over rushed and half assed. Love the videos and I definitely love all the Benz products lol.
Thank you!
Those v12s are beasts, I have owned the first model made (W140) for the past 8 years and its been amazing.
For attaching the hammer to the excavator, you canlook into a verachtert quick attachment. It is common in the low countrys but I have never seen them on youtube before. You can make the attachments easaly with a but of 20 mm plate, blow toch and a good welder.
Longtime indeed but happy you give us something 😊😊
w211 front struts are adjustable. Mine was like that until I fixed it. Rear springs have spacers if they are too high or to low as well.
Love your videos! I just wish they were more often!
JLR Bravery. You're a determined fella Waldo!!!
Thanks for the update.
Been waiting for another S-class. Really enjoyed the first one!
Waldo! We need to see more of you!
I feel you on Lr3. Apparently Land Rover just cannot make their cars water tight. They even have a class action lawsuit on discovery 5 due to windshield leaks. I was chasing my LR4 water leak for a while. It was windshield for me. It also could be an A pillar covers and windshield cowl. On top of the sunroof of course…
You have a very impressive collection of cars I must say! It's not just the number of cars but they are really awsome models and types.
Take it through the car wash and look for the leak. We used to do that when we replaced windshields just to make sure it wasn’t leaking before we returned it to the customer.
Hi Waldo , am I really glad that I found this channel. I have a lot to look at . Alberta,Canada
Waldo,
I’ve discovered your projects recently and find them very well done. I’ve owned two MB550 S Class. A 2007 and a 2012. I bought both with about 30,000 miles on them. I loved everything about them except the depreciation and maintenance costs. I’m no where near as skilled at upkeep as you and I’ve found that Mercedes service and parts departments should be wearing a mask when they service these otherwise great cars. I drove both 550’s for 4 years and loved them but they both sold for about 25% of what I paid for them. I guess that’s why the primary owners of these are doctors and lawyers.
Keep up the interesting projects.
Hi Waldo absolutely love your content been a fan for a while now. I had the D3 dreaded water leak and spent months fixing the sunroof only to find more water ingress until I found the issue. Believe it or not it’s the seem joint in the roof rail area near windscreen you wouldn’t think it as it just looks factory however, it lets water in quite badly. I cleaned it and used tiger seal which actually worked job done. Please give Wander one more go and fingers crossed it’ll work for you 11:35
You should go with a side dump for your dump truck idea. I pull double side dumps here in SD and there's a company that actually makes a side dump from a straight truck. Smithco. Side dumps are awesome because you can dump to one side or the other and not worry about having a high CG like an end dump.
There is a lot easier and cost effective way of "smashing" rocks, especially for places with cold winters. Just drill wholes in the rock and pour water, as the water freezes it will crack the rock. There is another method (called Iutkin effect), again with wholes filled with water, but requires good knowledge of dealing with high voltage capacitors, and definitely is not for everyone.
I like this Waldo.
Auction Houses generally employ the worst Prehistoric Rock Apes.
Can't wait to see that old XJ on the channel
My dude, you need a workshop. It will pay for itself in productivity and the resulting video output increase. Love the projects, been following since the very start.
The a-pillar trim have stickers below then that can allow water intrusion for the r3
Please do a video of the generator install. I would like to see if you could put in a automatic transfer switch. More videos time to start knocking projects out.
I know the feeling always finding new stuff and new stuff to fix lol. And never getting to the earlier projects lol
Ive been waiting for some type of video!! I can’t wait for more! ❤ what happened to the maroon ML diesel?
Can't wait to see more heavy equipment videos
I don't care what you do! I look forward to any videos you do!
Your insurance agent must LOVE you! As well as the state DMV.
you make such good videos keep the momentum going and post more
New subscriber here, I really enjoy your content. I am considering the purchase of an E320 CDI, which is how I found your E Class diesel videos. Although the Bluetec and CDI are different animals, I am interested in seeing more on the light blue benz. This update was great, helped me feel normal that I am not the only one with several "open" projects!
9:29 check your sunroof drain. On 1st gen Cayennes at least if it gets backed up it can leak into the passenger footwell.
