Antigua Guatemala has fast become one of Central America's most popular cities, and for good reason. A designated UNESCO World Heritage site, Antigua pulses with activity and boasts awe-inspiring architecture, absorbing culture and seriously impressive views.

Absolutely impeccable views. Great sceneries, gorgeous backgrounds, and the volcano is just majestic. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us. Your video is very uplifting, pleasantly to watch, and relaxing. Great content and context. Guatemala is truly paradise on God's green earth; specially, Antigua. Antigua, is like a living storytelling book. Page after page it takes you to a brand new odyssey. EXCELLENT work guys. One of the best videos, yet. You have a knack for storytelling on video form.
Thanks so much for watching!! We absolutely agree, Antigua is a great little city, and we’ve been loving every moment here!

Nice...I hope you guys make it to Lago Atitlan and do another video diary from there. I lived in Panajachel ("Pana") from 1994-2012 and it was the best time of my life. Keep-up the good work...I'm enjoying what you're doing and I'm looking forward to more.
Thanks so much for watching!
We actually just got back from Atitlan and will be posting a 3 part vlog series from our week there!
Hey both guys awesome Kyle and Lauren You Tube channel Walking through Journey I like enjoying your You Tube Channel journey !
Thanks for watching!!
@@SirKonrad okay 👍👌🎉
The food looks really delicious. The view over the city was amazing. But the view that was like parallel to the volcanos was absolutely beautiful. Looks so peaceful.
It’s so sad to know that the volcano erupted and killed so many people and destroyed parts of the town.
You really can’t go wrong with any view here to be honest! Unfortunately the beauty comes with risk. Can’t see this being a forever home for those reasons, but I can definitely understand why people choose to stay here!
PEOPLE DIED THERE DUE TO BUILDING THEIR HOMES TOO CLOSE TO THE VOLCANO. THERE DIDN'T PAY FOR THE LAND, THEY JUST TOOK IT BUT CHALLENGED NATURE. ITS STUPID TO THINK THAT THERE IS SUCH THING AS A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE. I LIVE IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA THREATENED BY A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE, NEW YORK HAD A HURACANE, PEOPLE DIED BY LOW TEMPERATURES IN TEXAS, BRITISH COLUMBIA WAS FLOODED, ETC.
Wow, loved your video guys. Yes, Antigua received the title of World Cultural Heritage by Unesco because its one of the best kept old cities in the world and its culture as well. Comeback when you desire you are always welcome.
Thank you so much for watching! Antigua was our home for 3 months and we definitely can’t wait to come back someday in the future!
@@SirKonrad Yes, please comeback, this is your home.
Nice video
Thanks for watching!
I love you guys ,great couple ,but I'm impressed 👏 bythis Guy that is not a common tourist but been a Historian I are in him that he is interested to the Culture and his view and visits of diferent places and the observations from him make his videos very educative and entertaining. Bravo 👏. Also I see you guys are taking and enjoying every little detail and every previous moment , your Video in Mirador is a lesson for those who want or pretend to shoot a video in the Majestic TIKAL and the MAYAN HEAVEN in MIRADOR and LA DANTA.
Thanks so much for all the nice comments!!! 🙏🏼
4:12 is that la cuevita, well we went to that place and let's be honest food is not good and very expensive, you guys need to go to rincón tipico and tenedor del cerro both are in antigua, the views at tenedor del cerro are just unforgettable
We actually enjoyed Cuevita but will check out your recommendations as well! Thanks for letting us know
Ciudad Vieja was the second capital of Guatemala and was destroyed in 1541 by a current that came down from the Agua Volcano, legend has it that it rained for many days and the crater overflowed and the current dragged stones and trees and destroyed Ciudad Vieja. Greeting from Guatemala City.
Oh wow! Thanks for all that information! Do you recommend any places we must see in the Ciudad Vieja area?
@@SirKonrad I live in the capital and I don't have much knowledge about the places near Ciudad Vieja, but I could recommend that you go for a couple of days to the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, since there are black volcanic sand beaches. There is a place about two hours from where they are called El Paredón where you can go surfing, they say it is highly recommended.
Wow, a volcano right outside of your accommodation - that is amazing (and kinda scary!!). That beef stew looks so good! We are Australians currently travelling in Canada and are very happy to have stumbled across your travel channel! We love travel bloggers. Thank you for sharing your journey with us 😊 New subscribers here 👋🏻👋🏽 - D&S
So happy you enjoyed the video!! It definitely took some getting used to after realizing how often the volcano erupts too 😬. We also subscribed to your channel and will check out some videos later! Hope you enjoy Canada!! 🇨🇦 🍁
Hi, I really like enjoying your videos with the info. The Pupusas are delicious and original from El Salvador Centro America . You guys need to visit and enjoy
El Pulgarcito El Salvador, Is such a beautiful city. I’m going to Antigua in August , I’m so excited after I washing your video. Looks Amazing. Thanks

Nice videos guys yo you have to try the micheladas in antigua michelada is 🥃 drink beer with some stuff in it delicious 100% recomended and also try the shucos kind of hotdogs but guatemalan style
We actually did try Michelada once off camera! It’s very similar to something we drink in Canada called a “Caesar”. Haven’t tried Shucos though.
Thanks for the recommendation!! 🙂
Hoooo my God.....the city is beautiful.....but you guys are not scare of that erupting volcano?????
Haha we were at first but then we realised it was completely normal for it to erupt every 25 minutes, we also hiked the volcano next to the active one about a month ago !! Antigua is very beautiful!
Visit Ciudad Cayalá in Guate city
Thanks for the recommendation! We will consider it when we visit Guatemala City soon!
@@SirKonrad There is a lot to do and see in Guate city.
Beautiful! What time of the year did you visit?
Between mid February - the end of May 2022 was the season I was there!
@@SirKonrad thanks! Booked for august hopefully there won’t be much rain during rain season
I’m flying there next week from the US do I need to get a COVID test before entering Guatemala?
When we arrived in mid February we needed one, and I don’t think that’s changed so I think you may need to
One question. What's the name of the place you were staying in Ciudad Vieja?
We’re staying in an Airbnb just outside of Ciudad Vieja and will share a link in a future video with permission from the host. If you want more info try to contact Aventurasconlospaiz on CZcams!!
Thank you very much for answering my question.
New subscriber #766, I'm sorry about you not feeling good about the food. I just got back last month and got really sick too, next time your travel contact your local health department office, they recommend to get a vaccine before leaving the country. I'm in 🇺🇸 usa
what is the name of the town/area that you are staying in? also do you have a link or details for the place that you are renting? thanks
We are staying near Ciudad Vieja (very close to Antigua), and as for the place we are staying in, we will link it in a future video with permission from the owners!
@@SirKonrad 😉👍🏼👍🏼
Loving your videos! Curious if you could cover how safe is Guatemala? And any chance non-Spanish speaker survive there? Thanks for this content. Lots of love from Toronto :)
Thank you!! So far we have had 0 issues in Guatemala and haven't even remotely felt unsafe, however we have only spent most of our time here in Antigua. We will be filming a new video soon in Guatemala City where we will discuss a bit about the safety here!
Also we speak little to no Spanish and have survived thus far :)
@@SirKonrad Thank you so much! I've been following you since Mexico, so I am sure you must have picked up a lot of Spanish haha. Your response is very encouraging. Wishing you two a lovely week and look forward to those videos :)
Thanks a lot!! We’ve picked up a few things here and there but admittedly have been slacking a bit on our practicing 😬. We definitely recommend visiting both Guatemala and Mexico if you get the chance!
@@SirKonrad Thank you! My partner and I are in the planning process :) So your videos are inspiring.
Happy to hear!! Hope you enjoy!
GRACIAS for blogging from home 😍😍 ENJOY ANTIGUA AND thanks for sharing such a great video. Your new friends AVENTURASCONLOSPAIZ 😉
You guys are welcome! We love your home!! More videos coming soon 😉🇬🇹
@@SirKonrad 😉😱🙏🏽🙏🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
beautiful girl
I agree!
Isn't touring about more than food?! Most American and similar videos always seem obsessed about food more than history, culture, and getting to know the people.
Food is a massive part into experiencing a culture in my opinion. I can never learn exactly what it is like to be a local when I travel but one window into a culture is to eat the way they do. We do actually explore the history of the places we travel a lot in our videos though! It’s just difficult to share it in an exciting way.
As for getting to know the people, I’m not very comfortable with filming with people just yet. We’re still learning.
Thanks for the feedback and watching the video though! 🙂
If you like this type of towns I think you guys would like San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato Mexico it’s beautiful and if you like water like natural springs go to Las posas de Tolantongo also in Mexico.
We originally planned to go to both San Miguel De Allende and Guanajuato but unfortunately when we arrived in Mexico we were only given a short visa 😔. We will definitely be back though and both places are top of our lists!
