- Correction on the video: the eye relief can be digitally adjusted up to 70mm. It does so by basically zooming out the image on the screen by holding the up button for 3 seconds. This opens up more firearm types, however, for best use, you still want to be right up against the lens with the different eye cups. Just something to try out!
This has been fun to play with for the last few weeks. Unfortunately, the live fire range testing has to wait a little since my normal range is under a massive construction project, but I’m excited to get this out on my Fletcher RW 11/22 platform to see how well it does!
I’m also excited to get a helmet mounted setup designed and printed for this, as it’ll work really well for that.
Many thanks to OneLeaf.ai for sending this over to test out! - Věda a technologie
Just watched your rhineland video on utreon. An amazingly cool piece. But wanted to thankyou for the videos, your rather unique in the content you cover and the way you cover it. Inconsistant or not the amount of genuinely unique and interesting things you cover has definately earned our apreciation.
Looking forward to a live fire test. Curious as to how muzzle flash effects it.
it would be neat if this was a stand-alone unit with a universal mounting system to go on the user's optic of choice.
They do sell it as a standalone unit, but I’m not sure what their adapter compatibility is like for different scopes.
Its a roll of electrical tape and an adapter for your optic of choice. (tape is to prevent scratching your optic)
Thanks for the video on these. I've been seeing these on the internet for a while and I've been really considering getting one for something. i also am glad you shower what it looks like thru the device, cause that's good enough to do a few things to say the least.
Thanks for a great review, as always , quality content .
Looks fantastic!!
This is very cool, I look forward to a live fire follow up video.
Looks pretty rad
Pretty sweet, thank you
Will be interested in a helmet mount
Could you attach an IR lamp more powerful than the one on it and increase the range/brightness that it operates at or for a 0 light scenario?.
Yep, you can definitely up the visibility with a supplemental IR light
please make a vid on the solar power night vison
I'd like to see a Night Eagle, PVS 69 adapted like this or something likr a FLIR 320. If only I could pause time to work on things, Haha
I agree it will probably work for 556 and probably 7.62 x 39
Any update on that goofy launcher to shotgun project you were talking about a while ago?
I still have plans in the works for that!
Seems pretty decent for the price
I was pleasantly surprised.
@@booliganshootingsports I have an old 1st generation tube night vision scope (just viewing, not a rifle scope) and it's way bulkier, heavier and more awkward than what you've got and image clarity is about the same. Yours seems a lot more versatile.
For hunting rabbits at night. Actually a pretty good idea.
This would go great in my water wheeled car.
Never thought I’d see footage of Moab that doesn’t include people climbing and biking around on big rocks.
Yeah, that weekend was instead filled with drunken pool shenanigans and sexual misadventure.
Береги себя!
Before you do a shooting video, you may want to grab a couple of the Piney Mountain tracer rounds from that one company with the "NVG Ape" on their logo. I forget the name.
It kinda sucks you dont have any wooded area near you that you can shoot, but i guess most people dont nowadays.
I have a lot of open desert, but navigating out there at night is treacherous. And then I have the skinwalkers to worry about.
@@booliganshootingsports yeah, dont do that. 😆 but def look into the tracers. They come in like 5 colors, and are pretty cheap. I get some red and green once a year because on may 4th i do a "star wars blaster" thingy with the local kids where they pick a side (rebel/sith) and i setup targets at my private range and let them do some supressed "blaster" shooting. Red for sith, green for rebels. If you cant find em, ill look and see if i have any left from last years shoot.
I was thinking a 30 carbine...
A lot of the guys I would hunt hogs with in Hawaii would use these on pcp rifles.
So ... We're not going to talk about the bazooka? The actual bazooka I'm the back. Ok, back to your night vision scope.... That's, well less cool than a bazooka but, neat.
We’re getting there 😉
Oh
For those who want to snipe CQC style.
this would be great on a g3
it being roller-delayed that would help with the recoil and not getting blinded by getting hit in the eye by the scope because of recoil
When you rebrand an 80 dollar Wish scope.
its only 299$ on their website
Is that for the unit itself, or the unit and the scope?
@@booliganshootingsports just the unit is 299$
the unit and the scope is $499.00
Yeah, that’s their normal pricing
похоже на pard NV007v , есть еше лучше pard NV007A !
its neat but its a toy. thats $500 bucks, would you really buy something that is sub par if you really needed it? maybe in a pinch but really for a few hundo more you can usually find official flir thermal cams on sale
It’s definitely more useful than a toy. Thermal and light amplification are two very different things for very different use cases. And you’re not going to find a usable weapon mounted FLIR scope for anywhere close to the price of something like this. You can find handheld monoculars, sure, but that’s not a weapon sight.
I’ve played with the inexpensive thermal cameras, and they’re substantially worse in my experience.
Oneleaf must be mad you took 12 years to review their night vision scope lol jk
Can't afford legit NODs, has wall of guns...
Priorities. Sell the guns, buy the NODs.
People complain about how expensive NV is, but then go out and blow the same amount of money on multiple other firearms that they will barely shoot....
Price out the guns on my wall. I specialize in cheap weird stuff for my collection. And I shoot them MUCH more than I’d use a mid 4 figure NOD setup, lol.
@@booliganshootingsports you have 2 MP5 clones on that desk. Just selling both of those would get you a decent PVS-14. The issue isn't being able to afford them, but what you chose to prioritize over them.
Combined value of those two is $1,500. Can’t touch a usable PVS14 setup with support gear for less than double that. I prioritize having the guns that I want, as I’m a firearm collector, lol.
So I’m not saying that I CAN’T afford legit NODs. I certainly can if I chose too. But I choose to spend my money on the actual guns that I want, since I’m a gun collector. Not a NOD collector.
