- Some more cold starts for ya! From March 20th, 2024. We were going back into a cold snap and I had to move some of the vans around both to protect them and to make removing snow easier! :)

Was hoping to see a cold start on the 1990. I bought a 90 with 96,000 mi after the previous owner hit a deer. I'm about ready to start putting it back together. I just need a good ac discharge line. The 90 is how I found your channel.

Nice video! Transmission issues seem to be common on caravans, even the newer pacifica vans have transmission issues. I do not understand how Chrysler never figured out FWD autos. I still can't help but like the old caravans though, someday I want to get one for camping.
Dodge transmissions need regular fluid changes and they're usually fine. They get a bad rep because no one does any maintenance on them.

Yeah I got some out of it but if u think about I put 376 in to it so I got 355 bucks out of it so I made some money off it to me I think I broke pretty even with not putting much money into it
No Reverse? did you try swapping out the trans solenoid packs?
Been there done that. No change. My guess is the gear is actually wiped in the trans. White one has gone 100k without reverse. Gray one 20k. Never been an issue really. I have a trans for the gray one. Waiting for the rest of this one to bite the dust first.

@selenelacaze9883 don't know without having it apart. I'm not really a transmission guy either haha. I just know it doesn't really work. White one kinda almost wants to sometimes on flat ground. Like I said, it's never bothered me as long as it's got forward gears. If I ever get around to replacing it I do plan to do an autopsy on it.
