  • Driving tour of Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, USA
Ventura Boulevard is one of the primary east-west thoroughfares in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California.
Ventura Boulevard is one of the oldest routes in the San Fernando Valley as it was originally a part of the El Camino Real (the trail between Spanish missions).
It was also U.S. Route 101 (US 101) before the freeway (which it parallels for much of Ventura Boulevard's length) was built, and it was also previously signed as U.S. Route 101 Business (US 101 Bus.)
Approximately 18 miles (29 km) long, Ventura Boulevard is the world's longest avenue of contiguous businesses.
The Boulevard begins near Calabasas in Woodland Hills at an intersection with Valley Circle Boulevard, travels through Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, and finally, in Studio City (where it intersects with Lankershim Boulevard), it becomes Cahuenga Boulevard, which then winds through Cahuenga Pass into Hollywood.
It has always been the most concentrated location for small businesses and shops in the Valley; nowadays it has pockets of housing, mini-malls, and shops, along with a wide assortment of businesses, schools, and other establishments.
Homes south of Ventura Boulevard are considered to be among the most expensive in Los Angeles County, ranging from $2 million to $50 million and home to numerous celebrities, executives, athletes, and entertainers alike.

I'm from the East Coast and was in the valley in 2018. Many times I drove this route. It's nice to not worry about traffic and just enjoy the view. Thanks.

Say... I really want to thank you. I had to move out of California a little over a year ago when they changed the law for businesses. CA AB 5. California still letting the elections get ripped off and drive business and taxpayers out of the state like myself.
I miss all my SoCal driving around so much, and your videos make me feel a bit closer to my home.
Very much appreciated what you do.

I was born and raised in Encino . I married and moved to Vegas when I was 26 and I have been homesick for all these years . I would give anything to be able to move back , but financially, it’s impossible. Thank you so much for this tour.
    It’s a site for sore eyes❤

Wow.. I move to the Valley as a child in 1954 and left as an adult in 1974. During that time(1967) I got married and my Apt was one block off Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks. I lived there for 3 years. It was located almost right behind the old classic movie theater, ."La Reina". As I watched the video, as it passed that spot, I didn't recognize any business or location. I guess that is what 50 plus years of time does to a location.
