I know this is like a year old but I just fixed mine today. I had a big problem with the water line, the floater valve, and a missing belt. Took a little bit of work but it was actually fun learning. Swamp coolers are very easy!
@@TheRealMisterChopShop oh my god yes! When I finally felt that cool air, I felt like I worked at NASA and did something that would change the world LOL
Willie, it’s a must. If not, you’re gonna fill it in your wallet repairing all the different things that could go wrong but I’m happy to know you know what you’re doing. Good job, Willie be safe, drink lots of water and enjoy your swamp cooler.
On the outside of the swamp cooler where the water goes in unscrew that you’ll need to wrenches one on the inside to hold the night and on the outside to hold the other nut unscrew them and it comes out easy but you have to disconnect the water first make sure you turn it off
I own a Body Shop most of the cars that come in are all destroyed and they’ll have rust everywhere so I have to cut the metal out that’s basically called chopping chopping out the old metal putting in the new that’s why I named it the chop shop autobody… I really appreciate you posterestateJames thank you for leaving a message may you have a blessed day. Big check to see if the pump is working if all the water is coming out of the spider black veins above the swamp cooler you need to take one door off look to see if it’s sucking water and pouring it to the screens
That’s not an AC unit that is called a swamp cooler. It’s run by water and a motor that spins with a belt and it makes air suck into the cooler pads. It doesn’t have a refrigerant like a AC unit. This is not an AC unit you have a blessed day.

Why not the blue sponge pads instead of the straw pads?
@victornunez307 different kinds of swamp coolers, take different kinds of pads.
Good job
Thank you we try hard
Where do you get all these catchphrases
I make them up … I also make jingles
Is this a new thing in the US ? We've been using these type of coolers for ages
Probably🫶🏻
What kind of temp differential do you get from a system like that?
Right now it’s about 102 it brings it down to about 63
Broo the floater? How do you get it off? I'm trying to replace it since it doesn't move from all the rust stuff around it

Never heard of anything called a chop shop. Must be unique to your part of the world.
