My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article czcams.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

I've been on ozempic for 2.5 months and I've lost 30 lbs. It's amazing. The most thing I'm most impressed with is that it's completely stopped my outrageous and uncontrollable cravings. I have cushing's syndrome caused from PTSD, and it causes the worst cravings. I literally couldn't control them. Now they're gone. It's really so freeing. Some people who have never experienced hormonal cravings say it's "about self control" and "you have to learn healthy habits". It's so frustrating to hear them judge something they know nothing about. I was always fit and active. I ate healthy, exercised, played sports, and maintained a healthy weight, then something changed. I lost my house and with that my cortisol levels doubled and my cravings became uncontrollable. Ozempic saved me. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing medication!!

I have just been diagnosed with Cushings...adrenal functions are off...tumor on adrenal gland. Suppose to lower stress and make sure I keep my heart rate low...yeah right. My endo said the 1.0 dose can be increased...not done yet. He wants me to participate in a clinical trial drug for Cushings...kind of scared to do that.
Were you prescribed medication for your Cushings ...if you have...what is it...and is it working? I've gone from size 8-16...horrific car accident...badly injured...exercise ability...is quite difficult...stressful. On top of all that...models on thyroid...hypothyroidism...on .88 mcg of levothyroxin and .20 mcg of cytomel.

Yes our food supply is poison in many ways with gmo's and ingredients like HFCS that our bodies likely were never meant to consume.
On another note their are volumes of stories of people having stomach paralysis, bowel obstruction and other issues from Ozempic. That is downplayed too much it seems.
Weight watcher's has teamed up with Ozempic and have changed their old talking points to allow for it to be sold to their clients as well. I'd imagine way more money in Ozempic than their old model. The stock is rising on Ozempic too. Looks like one of the next big money making schemes for mostly the ruling class.
My final thought is,...why would anyone even trust big pharma after all the issues and continuing ones linked to the recent clot shots and so many other drugs? It seems to me that they are about profit first and foremost and not much about people's health at the end of the day.

I was recently diagnosed with LADA (Type 1.5 diabetes). A clinical pharmacist prescribed me Ozempic. I also switched to a more Mediterranean type of diet. I've lost 12 lbs in just a few weeks. I've been on it for 7 weeks. Four .25mg and today was my third .05 dosage. I have been exercising and trying to eat better. It does curb the appetite and I've lost some pounds. Nothing dramatic yet. But if you are pre-diabetic, do everything you can now to make those lifestyle changes before being diagnosed and having to take meds. Exercise, hydrate and get to a healthy weight. Watch your glucose and blood sugar. They sound cute, but they can be dangerous if unchecked. Eat fruits and vegetables. Limit your sweets. Make them a treat, not a meal.

I don't even fancy sweets anymore and I can only eat half of what I had been eating before. I needn't lose a lot of weight but just want to keep my weight healthy. I'm 58 and have to watch it since childhood. As side effects, I feel nauseatic sometimes. But in my country, it's not released yet so I had to sign and the doctor never applied it himself. I guess that's his risk management. If anything goes wrong, I can't claim anything.

Quite simply put, it is impossible for you to eat like you normally would. I have seen a dramatic 50% - 60% reduction in my food consumption but I am still enjoying the food I do eat. You're just full on way less. It has been a wonder drug for me but I do fear what will happen when I hit my goal weigh and my GP takes me off it. Studies show that many gain back a considerable amount so I am trying to plan for this. You never have hunger pangs on Ozempic, or at least I haven't had to deal with them. But that's the only day he'll cheat, the few times he does.

Sounds very much like what I do. Friday nights in pizza night but it's hilarious because I used to be able to finish off a 14 inch pizza to myself without a problem. Now I can only eat a 6 inch pizza. Or we buy 1 twelve inch pizza and I half it with my wife. The pizza restaurant might not be too pleased with us. Most of my meals are now at a 60% reduction across the board. 40 lbs lost in 4 months and counting, and everybody who hasn't seen me in over 4 months is shocked at how I look. Very pleasantly surprised.

I was put on Wegovy. I got a 1 month .25m dose set. When I went to get my script from the pharmacy it was $1800 for 4 shots. Drugs like this do work, but Big Pharm will not price them for people that need them. Also, most insurances will NOT cover them. I am at 400+ lbs and need help. I just had a cardiac event related to my weight. I am addicted to food and need a drug like this to seriously curb my cravings and appetite. Alas, single income families cannot afford such a luxury.

And ask yourself do you love your if that answer is yes then love you enough to stop eating and make your life better for you. Just stop eating. Use food as fuel ans not as a comfort or friend. So about 2 weeks ago I finally asked my doc if I could take Ozempic and he said sure. I have only been on it for 2 weeks but off the bat I noticed it kinda gave me a bloated acidy reflux kinda feeling and I wouldnt eat but drink lots of water. That has slowly faded out but I take tums on a daily basis it seems. Next month he is going to increase the dosage and I hope I see some weight loss. In the last 4 yrs I went from 270 down to 245 and am stuck at this weight.

You know, I'm an Internal Medicine physician, and I practiced in South Carolina for almost a Decade. I saw a LOT of Morbid Obesity. It was a Clinic for the Poor. I saw ladies that were 400 lbs. and men who were over 500 lbs. They needed to have Bariatric Surgery (Gastric Bypass, or Gastric stapling.) When they could GET it, they would lose 1/2 to 2/3rds of their body weight in just a few years. There WAS, However, a Catch-22; They needed to lose at least 25 pounds on their own before they could get the surgery. There were other requirements; they needed to see a mental health professional, too. If they could lose that much weight unassisted, they would not have such a severe problem in the first place! Several died waiting for the surgery.
My Hope is that this drug at least gets them to the point where they can be eligible for weight loss surgery, but, also, that we can nip problems in the bud, so we don't see such severe cases.

After losing 130lbs, and about 70 more to goal, my Dr. has asked that I research both Wegovy and Saxenda as a long term med help. How are you feeling so far? I did Phentermine for my first 3 months and lost 60 on it but knew it was a short time kinda thing. Just something to help curve the cravings!

I am not diabetic nor have I had a weight problem before except extra belly fat. I am excited for anyone who has a weight problem and reaches their goals. I am concerned with the fact that they don't mention the thyroid tumors in rats and the claim it is not known if that will happen in humans. A coworker told me he was taking this and within minutes of looking up information, it was on the FDA website as well as ozempic website. FDA says your physician should be telling you about the thyroid tumors in rats but when I told him, it was news to him. Neither Dr. Oz nor this doctor mentioned it.
I took CLA (congegated linoleic acid) and it curbed my appetite amd helped me lose belly fat with exercise.
Everyone's body is different but when I hear the word pharmaceutical drug, warning bells go off.

My doctor mentioned it to me, in fact they wont prescribe to anyone with thyroid cancer in their family history

Exactly, only seeing that on the website that's why I'm scared to take it along with bladder/kidney issues and pancreas. 😪
