- The 1v1 showdown between Scandinavia and the Dual Monarchy. If the DM wins, we’re looking at a full restoration of Bavaria’s closest ally! Strategy and careful planning is out the window: Both sides will charge into each other like football hooligans in England.
Poland-Lithuania will make a blunder in his charm offensive against our alliance. But did he win us over? Would the Elbians reconsider partitioning him with Russia? The diplomacy is about to change dramatically in this Victoria 2 multiplayer campaign. Bavaria is getting stronger and coring more land.

To be fair its a hard country to play. You have 3 Gp rivals and only 1/4 accepted until 1850 ish. Also literacy is bad compared to burgundy and scandi

@memer3548 The huge immediate power boost by going Fr*nch route was arguably the reason things were turned around unlike every other time. The appeal of "accept all of England, France, and Ireland!" Is huge, but it doesn't matter if you have no hope of ever setting foot on the isles. This Dual Monarchy still has the Anglois along the channel accepted and owns England, Ireland, and seemingly Scotland soon even if it's not all accepted. That's huge and for perspective, we don't call Scandinavia "weak" for controlling the Isles despite not accepting anything outside of Scotland, so we shouldn't consider a Dual Monarchy that accepts its French lands (which I feel confident in saying far outnumber all of Scandinavia mainland) and owns the isles weak when the Anglois in England may even outnumber all of Scotland.

Truly. Based Campaign No doomer Monarchy or Drunk monarchy but W monarchy finally a change from the script man
I like what Scandi and Burgundy are doing with their diplo: the situation on the field is bad and it's clear that the next war will be a defeat for them (unless some insane blunders happens) so the only way to change their situation is to break the alliance and they are aiming at the obvious weak spot, the 2 german countries.
Bavaria and Elbian has fought together against Burgundy since the start of the game but now that they are close to taking all the land they need the question of "what happens next?" is inevitable and the reality is that the existence of another major german state is a threat.
Bavaria would be pretty mid as an ally since it's almost completely isolated but having the Elbian would completely change the balance of the alliances.
That is one hell of a cliffhanger, another nice video spudgun!
It's funny watching these again after the later episodes when Spud does work with Scandinavia against Elbians to form Germany. Granted it happens differently than they proposed

The conversation with Elbians felt pretty tense, its obvious to all that you two cant coexist. But Scandinavia and Burgundy attempting to appeal to you was laughable, I feel the goal was just to try and get you to say youre going to go after Elbians especially since they tried over analysing and jumping hard on anything you said.

New Vic 2 player question: what’s the benefit of having accepted pops? For example with the DM, what benefit would he be getting from the England pops that he is not getting from them now? If he took that decision in the event to accept both English & French pops.
They're less militant and you can mobilize them I think
They have less militancy, conciousness, less radical generally, with the exception of fascism, they migrate less, you can mobilize them, they can promote to bureaucrats and you can gain cores on lands you have accepted pops if by some chance you dont have already
