Campaigns tend to be very boring when the DM wins. Reflected in these dod series where they lose 90% of the time.
Yep that's right, I had a campaign as DM where I won and it was boring. I wouldn't make a series out of it even though people request a DM series a lot
@@SwagKinggI think it was fine in I think the Aragon CU with an HRE to match it, but theres rarely such a powerhouse next door.
@@walrusskeleton8896 DM when they win just has too many accepteds + it’s a naval hegemon and it will usually have Italy/Iberia minions since those are p weak nations that the DM can support day 1. DM winning can lead to alright campaigns though if things like HRE and Aragon Italy form since those are pretty powerful maps, but if it’s DM with an elbians and Spain + normal Italy it’s gonna be a pretty shit campaign

@@thatguy4076 There is. It requires forming the Danubians or the Elbians as a German state first. Go rewatch the trailer for the the Bavaria series. Spud literally hints that the end goal for this series is forming Germany.

DM in this episode show pretty well why it's important to stay calm and think before acting: the loss of scotland is annoying but nothing major in the grand scheme of things but his immediate reaction caused a huge mistake.
After that he lost a war and he entered a negative spiral where he threw under the bus a friendly country for no reason.
I can't say "everything happened because of sanctions" because it's possible that he may have lost the war against scandi anyway but sanctions clearly made Scandi more likely to take the chance and start a war.
DMs just have a bad time or have the easiest game of their life there is no in between
Nothing like Spud's alliance riding high on their string of success in the last few episodes, to the DM and by extension everyone being brought low by ill fate and skill issues in quick succession. A true Greek tragedy on a geopolitical scale. Can things get worse? Or will redemption be wrested from the jaws of defeat?

How could the spam grants and trade policy be a paradox thing, when those aren't even vanilla decisions/events? There might be a really good explanation, but it doesn't make much sense right now.
There’s something wrong with the form Danubians decision in which it makes your nation half AI. Since the request a grant decisions are always available your AI half will keep spamming those events.

The kind of doomed mentality that the DM showed when something bad happened is a reaction that if it happened to me I would do the same. It’s kind of why I don’t play multiplayer strategy games.
