What is one of your personal finance goals?
Get out of debt by the end of 2023- which has been hard but I'm slowly getting there, I also have been increasing my income with coaching, side hustles and more, I also am not going hard for Christmas this year, I'm going to have a small celebration with my family.
Look at eating out as a treat than a necessity
Question is there not a debit card in canada?
I'm currently in the process of selling my current flat to buy a bigger place so I really need to sit down and fully budget out the costs. I know I can afford the process but having it all down in black and white so that I'm prepared for any potential surprises is essential.
Hi Zoe, I would love to out aside 75 dollars a fortnight into the stock market, and 200 dollars a week into emergency fund, and 50 into vacation sinking fund. there's this thing i keep reminding myself, "it's not about how much you make but how much you can keep." that gives me peace of mind when it comes to comparing my finances with that of others.

Zoe! I NEVER got my nails done bc I thought it was such a complete waste of money and told myself I could just do them myself. BUT I have started getting them done and love it ❤ The irritability and anxiety surrounding doing my own nails has disappeared and it’s just such a simple from of self care. I’m glad to hear you are getting them done bc sometimes the money and time spent doing them yourself is not worth it 😅

Omg I spent sooooo much money on tools to do my own nails with the logic that it will be cheaper in the long run, which would be true except it takes me sooooooo long and gives me so much stress lol so I want to just get them professionally done but I got all this stuff now and don’t want it to go to waste
Your take on this style of video is so refreshing!! I love the way you make things work for you by having clear goals but still remaining flexible and love the “spent on credit envelope”! Haha, I am going to do the same. I saw they have it in beautiful tan velvet. I needed a coin purse and I saw they sell very nice make up bags. I needed those two things for a while, and they have a nice selection.

Enjoyed this so much. I have my nails done every month. They always look nice and saves me so much time. I allow $85.00 every month for dip nail and hair. I work full time and have church activities and house chores. We are worth it it only take an hour or so but nails are looking better.
love this! & $85 is super reasonable i find… There are salons here charging $90+tax and tip for manicures 🙃 im sure they are amazing but that is too much for me lol

Additionally! Since you’ve had Maggie for a couple years now, a video idea could be the finances of having a dog/pet: what people can expect, vet costs in Canada, special needs care (like her anxiety training and sitter) etc.
hehe I talk about this in my latest vlog but I think it will make me too sad to add up all the costs 🙃 let's just say... its a LOT
zoie - fyi, if you're not using your car, you can pause your insurance and get money back on the time off. it has to be more than 2 weeks that you're not driving it but you can get half back of your monthly premium!

I’d love to do cash envelopes but I believe so much in putting everything on my credit card/treating it as a debit so that I can earn rewards/points from the purchases I make! Do you still find it more valuable using envelopes even if it means missing out on rewards? I know it may not be a ton per transaction but I feel they add up quick!

check out Bocadillo in the Plateau for Arepas (very casual)! so good 😍 Ryu (sushi) for a more upscale dinner is one of my faves too! Mandys Salad is great for lunch. Barbara for dinner, September Cafe for breakfast or just coffee (both on Notre Dame). Those are some of my fave spots!
Fully funded emergency fund and buying a house! My boyfriend and I travel a lot so experiences > things but when we do treat ourselves we know we thought about it and what it contributes to as far as happiness.

I think the "downward trend" you experience in the summer is mostly only relevant to your niche (finance, lifestyle, etc). I co-own a Colorado travel blog and CZcams channel and the summer months are the busiest times of year for us. This is when we see a lot of brand deals for summer travel, state safety campaigns, etc. Just wanted to clarify so everyone who is watching doesn't believe that EVERY niche experiences a downward trend in the summer! It depends on the topics for sure! Great video though, thanks for sharing and being open about your money.
