- Very surprised by this little guy, not my first choice of tech but sometimes we need to give things a try, and surprisingly this has landed itself in my bag for any future trips.
Buy your own Moza Nano SE 👉 geni.us/nanose
As highlighted in the video, if you want to change the battery yourself:
1. Peel off the rear sticker
2. unscrew rear housing
3. change battery
4. reassemble
5. unpair from phone Bluetooth
6. turn on Nano SE Gimbal
7. Hold TOP & BOTTOM buttons on remote until flashing, and all 4 battery indicator lights flash on the gimbal.
8. repair Bluetooth with phone
I honestly don't understand why the rear housing wasn't designed for easy removal of the battery, we need to push for better designs and to minimise e-waste where possible.

That bluetooth remote hack are extra effort that differ you from another reviewer. Overall its great review video and I like it alot
Thanks, yeah I like to try and think about everything I might encounter with a product and finding out the remote was designed to be single use sent me down a rabbit hole for a solution haha. I appreciate you leaving a comment and acknowledging it, have a great day!
You took the review to the next level. I appreciate your persistence
Thanks Evan, and I appreciate your comment 👍
Glad I found and watched your vid. Just learned about this today so went to buy one and it happened to be on sale on Amazon US. It's a no-brainer at $30USD. Valuable info on that remote. Mahalos for uploading!
Yeah it's such a bargain product, I used it on my last trip and it was so handy! Glad you appreciated the tip on the remote ✌
@@camshandregarding that remote battery... out of a dozen reviews I watched you were 1 of only 2 that pointed it out and the only one who figured out a solution.
@@SpaghettiPaparazzi thank you, I try to really think about all things on my product reviews and give as much value to you, the viewer, for a purchase decision. So good to hear it was appreciated 😍
I bought 4 of them on Amazon for $9.99 each they are awesome, I bought them due to the remotes life, but so nice to learn I can replace it, great video thanks so much!
Just bought it, and it's amazing, glad I found ur vid for the battery hack 🔥🙏
Yes it's really good to know that in the future you can keep it alive and running when it inevitably goes flat!
Very relevant. Thanks for the informative review of which is so little.❤
I brought it for RS 2500 (35 USD) from india.. Nice product at this price range and almost 80% shorts can be done with this single axis gimbal.
I just got mine as a free gift. Tried to see where to buy the remote but I can't find it on their site. :/ I'm glad you were able to open it.
Awesome stuff Cam! Pretty cool
Thanks mate, I was pleasantly surprised. The remote battery design is a bummer but was happy to figure out a way to change it and get it working for in the future
nice video especially with the remote battery. thanks a lot
Thank you, the battery was getting to me, glad I figured it out whilst filming haha 😆
Loved the video so liked and subscribed 👍👍
😍🔥🔥 saw your videos in recommendation 😍
Many thanks for the remote battery solution!
You're welcome! I was pretty annoyed to see a "single use" approach causing more e-waste, had to fund a method to replace it 😊👍
@@camshand 👍🏼😊I absolutely abhor “single use” products. And I got a shock when I couldn’t open the remote to check the battery.
Great! Thanks for the solution!
Glad it helped you :)
Finally a newwww videooo lettts get it. Awesome video. Keep it up m8
LETSSS GOOOO! Haha I took a but of time off over Christmas break, wasn't planning too but it was actually really good to just get multiple projects for 2021 rolling that'll benefit future videos ☺️ hope you had a good Christmas and New year's! Thanks for watching as always 😍👍
That re-pair method to the controller helped me some time ago, but now somehow got un paired and now this same method won’t work, the controller’s light still working, any ideas on how to fix it?
Very cool! Does it have a setting for 360 shot?
Modes are not changing from my remote. I am frustrated of this stick.. I tried multiple times but its not working
Hi. Thanks for this review and kudos for being the only person after checking more than a dozen videos for figuring out how to change the remote battery.
Have a question. I'd like to get a second Nano SE to keep at another location to help cut down on needing to carry back and forth (mobility issues). Do you think there might be a problem pairing a second Nano SE with the same phone and having it also work with the same installed Genie app?
That remote battery is such a poor design but glad there's a way to replace it.
As for your pairing issue, hmm haven't tried between the Genie app, it shouldn't have an issue that I could think of, might if you have both turned on in the same room and connect to both of them. but if it's just one at a solo location then should work.
@@camshand Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. Now I'm reconsidering getting a second one since I am having trouble getting the remote to work with the native iphone app. At firstI was able to click for photo and recording and sometimes, albeit quirky, get it to zoom. Now the remote buttons are not responding except for the "m" top button. Any thoughts??
Thanks so much, i've seen many videos to know how replace battery of the remote 😂😂😂
i tried to repair the remote with the gimbal manytimes, but it did not work, help me plzzzzz
Thanks
Glad it helped 👍
Love that remote hack.. ♥from Bangladesh..
So glad I figured it out, I wasn't pleased to see they intentionally tried to hide the screws but now we can save some eWaste and replace ourselves!
I honestly might buy this imma watch a few more vids to get other peoples opinions
I've had many gimbals come and go in the studio and this one has stayed. Still a really good option for the price, some selfie sticks cost this much and don't even have the single axis gimbal 👍
Is this work with S23 ultra?? Ryt
Hi
After watching your video innumerable times i purchased the Moza Nano SE gimbal. It is good. I Really liked it. I have a problem in downloading the magic templates. I'm able to download just ONE MAGIC TEMPLATE. How do I get the other magic templates. Please help. However Ive downloaded the Moza genie app from playstore.
Sorry mate I haven't used their app for filming so unsure how you'd fix the magic templates
I think I want it but than I found that I should purchase one for camera not for mobile .
Hey mate! Yeah but for the price it's pretty hard to find something for a camera. This is just a fun little gadget, I used it over Christmas for family photos with the remote, super handy, pleasantly surprised ☺️ hope you had a great Christmas and New year's, let's hope 2021 is a good one!
how is result of this Moza Gimble for an Ordinary Mobile Phone
I don't understand what you mean by Ordinary Phone? I have demo footage in the video using my phone
My means just a normal use phone's footage is how with use of it.
How to fix the remote is not working
battery may be flat, remove the sticker from the back, screws and change. then re-pair following what I did in the video 👍
I just bought it, how can I charge the remote?
You can't charge the remote, as shown in the video you can unscrew it and replace the battery, you must also pair it to the gimbal again. The battery lasts a long time though.
Does it work with the native iPhone camera app?
Can't see why not, the Bluetooth remote just sends the typical shutter command. The Zoom in and out probably wouldn't, but taking photo's should be possible
Yeah it does and with filmic pro, but the camera just shuts down at random...😐
my nano se is not rotating so what to do?
Does the Bluetooth remote still connect to your phone? if not the battery may be flat. If it does, try re pairing the remote to the gimbal by following my steps in the video. Hopefully that solves it.
@@camshand mine still not working pls tell a solution
nice sharing..cool
Thanks man 😁👍
Nice...subscribed
Thanks dude :) Glad you loved the video
Does it work with xiaomi mi10t pro?
It work with every smartphone
Where does the charger cable go.? What is it for? What do the symbols on the remote controll mean?
Best to read the user manual.
Charge cable goes into the side of the gimbal. The remote doesn't recharge, must replace the battery like I showed. Symbols are for zoom, rotate gimbal to vertical or horizontal and record
to simply put a sticker over screws and tell that it is not possible to replace battery, is a reason for me to buy from other company :D
I've seen many products put stickers over screws, that's just a general design method these days.
But 100% right, to not advertise the possibility to replace the battery when it is super easy is not good... Also wasteful
Now just $24.95 @ Ted’s Camera’s
...hate it now! just shuts down at random, Sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after say 37 mins complained to Moza no help at all
Oh that's not good! Is your phone mounted as best balanced as possible?
Only time I've had a gimbal turn off unexpectedly is overload of the motors, so too fast of a movement or phone not being centrerd enough
Yeah, it just shuts down at random times sometimes after 20 mins then just under the hour... annoying for the low price I am going to keep it, but Moza’s support is very poor.
Gift my sir im from Indonesia 😂
