Chasing the Thrill - 305 Sprint Car Crew Chief Tyler Perry

When they first met at Knoxville, Tyler Perry jokingly asked Trevor Grossenbacher if he had any pictures of his car right side up, because he had only ever seen it upside down. Despite that salty first impression, Trevor eventually asked Tyler to go racing with him one weekend. Ever since then Tyler and Trevor not only started working together on a race team, but became great friends.
We spent a race day with Speedway Motors employee Tyler Perry, crew chief for RaceSaver Sprint Car driver Trevor Grossenbacher, to see all the hard work and excitement that goes into preparing a Sprint Car for a night of racing.
In addition to his role as Trevor's crew chief, Tyler also works for Speedway Motors as a Wholesale Account Manager.
Trevor has been racing since he was five years old, starting out with a BMX bike, to racing 360s at Eagle Raceway in 2007, to eventually racing RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars starting in 2015.
These two have been working together for over a decade and have developed an unlikely friendship, along with some well-earned Sprint Car success.
