I listened to them when i was 5 in the early 2000s on the international channel. Break away was my favorite song. Them and As one were my first kpop groups! Its even better that they still make music to this day and release stuff pretty frequently

The third song is Lee Young Hyun's solo in Big Mama's first album. She participated a lot in the producing of their music and that song is one of the pieces she took part in writing. As you felt correctly, this song is an emotional song about heartbreak and a feeling of hopelessness in future loves. It's also a classic favorite amongst Koreans to sing at karaoke, especially after drinking 😂.

애초에 아이돌뮤직으로 kpop이 홍보되지못했으면 서양인들이 빅마마같은 그룹을 들으려했을까? 전혀
입문을 아이돌 퍼포먼스로 하고 이제 세부적인 kpop을 더 알아가는거지

It blows my mind that you guys can get so much from the music without any subtitles (well English ones). The middle part where one sings solo is indeed her solo song. She says it's embarrassing to sing it in front of the other members. It's called "Resignation," and another one of the members jokes that it's the #1 song for Koreans in karaoke because it's the song you sing right after a breakup. I guess it's about getting over a breakup and moving on, which is pretty much what you guys mentioned. Anyway, great video and glad you guys were able to just enjoy the music even without any translation.
i have always believed that a great artist will make you feel what you are supposed to... this is why i have never hesitated to listen to foreign languages in music... the real artist will break the language barrier
