I can decline and accept this theory,in the MW2 there is a scene that show Ghost open his mask,and there is also Captain Price there,the reason i decline this because Captain Price doesnt seem to be so excited when he saw Simons face to be Alex,but the reason why i accept this is because after Ghost open his mask and Captain Price saw his face,he said "Good to see you again,Simon"
Because Simon trusts price, so price actually knows Simon before ghost. If you know Simon's backstory, he was betrayed at every point if his life. Lost everyone he ever loved. He got his name ghost because in military records Simon Riley is already dead. So Only people who Simon knows he shows his true personality. Price being one of them. That's why price is the only one who never insists ghost to show his face

Having his anonymity so emphasized in the new campaign, Ghost definitely deserves his own character and backstory. It is very unique to him, (Simon Riley), it always has been since 2009, giving inspiration to COD Ghosts, Mace, as well as his return in the series. He’s always been very special, especially killing him off in 2009, no one can forget that.
Having Alex be Ghost would honestly be an insult to the whole COD community.
I totally agree with you. When ghost died in the original, (dude I was 23 then, I'm old) I actually stopped playing COD. Because he and Soap were my favourite characters and when Soap was shot, I stopped playing the games altogether. Here's a posibility, it could be Riddian "Grim" Poe. He is mentioned as missing in Call Of Duty: Ghosts. The dogs name is Riley and he could have used that as inspiration for his name. He was a Ghost, hence the ghost mask and the reason for hiding his identity.

Ghost is the callsign for Lt. Simon Riley.
Alex is an entirely different character. It's not like Alex's sacrifice in the end of MW2019 magically gave him a British accent and transfered him from a Burned CIA operator, and into the British SAS.

I’ve been using Ghost for a while now. I noticed that at 4:00, when Price says “Roger that”, it sounds EXACTLY like when ghost says it in the game.
So here's the thing... the ONLY actor who has played Ghost and other characters in the franchise is Craig Fairbase. Now he voiced both Gaz, who we obviously know is still alive, the other character is someone named Walcroft. I dont know much about that character. The guy who plays Ghost in MW2 IS totally new. Maybe they did this to keep the mystery. I found that super interesting.

what if Simon Riley AkA Ghost is really Logan from Call of Duty Ghost, the reason why I think this is because the end of the campaign of Call of Duty Ghost shows Logan being pulled a way and when he comes to he finds him self in some kind of cage some where in a Jungle at the very end. So there could be a possibility that Logan changed his name to Simon Riley, and the reason why there might not be any photos of Simon Riley could be because Logan doesn't want any one to know that he is still alive. it kind of far fetched but it could be a possibility because like you said it seems that both story lines are in the same time line. I remembered why I stopped watching other creators who made content on Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley
They all chew the clock and talk in loops and bait you at the beginning of the video that you’re gonna find out in that video but makes you just look deeper into it and coming to a bunch of dead end clips of who Ghost really is and then you sit there rethinking your life on a character that impacted you so much by the way they did him in MW2 & now you have to relive that PTSD of Roach as well burning to a crisp… 😞 I’m upset now

I don’t think it’s fair to the fans to see a character so iconic such as Ghosts and not understand him more or dive into his story other than the original comics. A reboot of Modern Warfare means a reboot for Ghost’s character. I’d like to see them advance the story and tie it in with Alex being a ghost, but not the Ghost. Because Mace and Nikto are definitely characters that could be tied in. If I was a betting man, and Alex is a ghost, I’d bet he’s Nikto.
