Thank you so much to Toonami Remastered! czcams.com/users/SlimD716V2
For those out of the loop: this was an animation created in about one week by James Tucker and Bruce Timm to sell “Justice League” to Kids WB (hence the inclusion of the younger heroes), but WB greenlit the series before even needing to see this! The original animation was released as a special feature on the JL DVDs; you can find a version with the opening Tucker/Timm introduction by searching for “Justice League: The First Mission.”
Regarding the repurposed shots I couldn’t find:
    - J’onn flying at the end of the “The Call” lineup was explained on Twitter by James Tucker to have been an additional boarded character that was originally cut from the shot, possibly Terry McGinnis or the Batmobile.
    - Grundy vs Impulse is likely a quick sequence of Robin vs a Joker goon in the opening Ace Chemicals fight in “Beware the Creeper.” According to Dan Riba, he boarded this but it ultimately didn’t make it into the episode, so it has no actual reference point.
    - The Cyborg girl landing and leaping may very well be a shot of Terry or Batgirl from some episode, but it was going to be too obscure to possibly find.
    - Same goes for the shot of Mongul running up to J’onn; it’s a miracle I found the “Father’s Day” arm wrestle follow-up. I have to imagine J’onn was originally Batman in the missing shot, but who knows? The background is from STAS’ “Double Dose.”
    - Lastly, the shot of J’onn being fired at by multiple POV guns is the most likely to be an original boarded animation. The cat he transforms into is the same model from “Cult of the Cat,” but that cat does not leap directly at the screen at any point in the episode. The guns and background are from “Batman Beyond.”
    - BONUS: Did you catch the stock reuse duplication of the training robot from “The Call” being blown up by Hawkgirl?

@@mattiesavannahpahl9934 And now I know that strictness is why The Zeta Project got canceled. Still watching Kids' WB! around that time it wouldn't really surprise me why they would start putting a lot more of their stock into running the Pokémon anime since it was a very kid friendly series like they wanted, based off of a hugely marketable franchise so they knew kids would be watching it, and it was obviously real cheap for them to put out when you just had 4Kids dubbing over Japanese animation that's already been produced overseas.
From what I've seen watching the Justice League series, it seemed that Bruce Timm and his crew were given much more creative leeway for those shows when making them over on CN with the kind of stories that they were able to tell.

    • @andrewcozzini8259

To me, he looks most similar to his one-time-only look from the "Static Shock" episode, "The Big Leagues," but his hair has that 40s Dick Grayson hair, as seen in the flashbacks from "Robin's Reckoning." Personally, I'm much happier with the show we got in almost every respect, except maybe for the inclusion of Robin in some organic, sort of background way. So first impressions- the environment feels really neo-Gotham, but the action very much has a Static Shock feel to it, it seems like they were trying to work out the feel of the show by taking a little from the other shows, and I'm glad they eventually found something that felt a little more grandiose and unique. The lineup of heroes is interesting, what's even more interesting is the inclusion of Tim, what with all the Bat-embargo-ing at the time. I really wish we could have seen the Cyborgette in something at some point, perhaps in the buildup to the #JLReunion or maybe even something connected to the _ZetaProject?i'mjustkiddinglol._ It's great that this has been preserved and archived here, thanks as always Watchtower.
Edit: watched 5 more seconds and couldn't help noticing the musical direction is so very Superman, down to the instrumentation. I'm glad Karter, Ritmanis and the gang came up with something a little less STAS. Somewhere, in the known yet all too vast Multiverse, this is canon.
Same goes for the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths+Doom universe, in which the events of the former can be mostly purported as canonical between the JL and JLU cartoons (via the scrapped Worlds Collide movie concept), while a few bits of the latter may have been the basis of the offscreen moment of awesome and implied tragedy that is the Near Apocalypse of '09.
Edit: And am of the fervent opinion that Impulse/Kid Flash and the female Cyborg (a Victoria Stone, perhaps) are proper DCAU-canon Titans members alongside Tim Drake/Robin, Speedy as seen in Justice League Unlimited, and the offscreen Beast Boy mentioned in Static Shock.

The scenes taken from "World's Finest" were always the most blatant of the repurposed shots for me (as blatant as when they reused Flash's running animation from STAS' "Speed Demons" in JL's "Paradise Lost", which didn't work at all in that case), but it's always interesting to discover how much 2D animation gets repurposed or redrawn from previous productions. It's even led to some hilarious examples on this channel like that blasted yellow batsuit.
