@@adaoraelliott9254 I had a theory similar to this: The helmet was Wally’s first disguise, then he upgraded to the KF suit, then he made his current suit. During the first two suits Central City didn’t acknowledge/trust him until the current suit.

@@mattiesavannahpahl9934 it could be possible that the kid flash costume was a prototype that he never used or only used his first few times as the Flash. Either that or Barry Allen is/was somewhere out there as Kid Flash.
About "Jay Garrick's" helmet: it's certainly possible that it references an adventure where Wally West got temporarily hyperaccelerated to the point where he's a blur living in between the ticks of a second. In other words he became the Kingdom Come version of The Flash. Kingdom Come writer Mark Waid *did* identify that version as Wally, and that version did wear a silver winged helmet.

I usually don't like it when continuity drives the story, but it'd be really great to get an in-canon deep dive into the Flash's history in the DCAU.

@@srstriker6420 I also would like to see a Zoom in the DCAU, however, I would actually prefer Eobard Thawne paired off with Wally, as he is in many respects a fusion of Barry Allen's history and Wally West's personality. But yeah, that is something left kind of missing in the DCAU, almost intentionally so, I believe. As the writers didn't seem too keen on having multiple speedsters and the techno babble and/or insane threat level that a speedster villain would present.

The CWs Flash
It’s actually the Greek god Hermès helmet. The helmet is named Wielder and is forced by Hephaestus which is also a Greek god. It look basically the same, and since the Greek god came long before Dc it’s Hermès helmet and not Jays helmet for those who didn’t know.
But when you think about it. It kinda makes sense. Hermès is the fastest one out of the gods , and since Jay was the first speedster in Dc as we know about he wore the same helmet as Hermès showing that he’s fast.

I think it could easily be confirmed that at one point yes Jay Garrick was Flash, long before Wally West was. Also it has been all but confirmed that Wally was the Kid Flash to Barry Allen’s Flash. This Barry sacrificed himself to save the universe (à la COIE), and Wally took up the mantle as a way of honoring him uncle/hero/mentor. Granted we get scenes like Wally in a lab getting struck by lightning and doused in chemicals as a young adult, but that doesn’t and shouldn’t disprove that Barry was once THE definitive Flash in the DCAU. Heck, we can even say that it was Barry that appears in Superman: TAS
Now all I want is a Flash animated series... Well, now more than usual
With all the new DCAU movies coming, I really wish we get to see more of the flash as it would be great to see the true wally back in the main stream media. He is in my opinion the best flash after all
given that we were shown a dcau versions of the Blackhawks and the Easy Company, I would say it's possible that a version of the JSA did exist in the dcau probably around the time frame when Bruce was a kid it could be that they had a very different roster then the mean Universe version.

I tend to think the purple golbe could be a reference to Magenta where she has a purple color scheme and she can generate and control magnetic fields By she created a purple circle has a blunt object to fight the Flash that purple feather could be a reference to bird man he has a purple bird sidekick and they are located in central city it's a deep cut to superfriends and there happens to be reference to super friends throughout justice League

At first, you all had my sympathy. We love this universe because we fell in love watching it together every night after work. The first comic/gn my wife read was "Kingdom Come", we watched the JLU for the background. We feel wonderfully obsessed, but you have made it art.
You have made these fascinating and hilarious looks at the greatest animated series, and versions of legendary characters with the weight they deserve.
Watchtower and all involved, are dangerously addictive, but they are definitely the good guys!

I do believe that Garrick and the JSA could’ve easily existed within the DCAU but likely took on a form, similar to that of task force X.
After all they pre-date the 90s and any government during their time would try to keep a lid on super powered individuals. So likely vigilantes, especially super powered ones were given a compulsory draft notices or execution orders.

My take on tie-ins has always been that unless it has been referenced or shown in the main media/production (in this case, the animated shows) then most of the tie in games and comics are non-canon and such, do not have continuity issues.
Same with the Arkham games. The comics and tie-in movie are all over the place in terms of writing, characters and outright contradicting the games they're supposed to tie in to, that it's best to just ignore them.
The purple costume kind of reminds me of elongated man
Flashpoint and Dr. Manhattan's intromission in main continuity affected the whole multiverse (and maybe even the Hypertime). That may explain post-Flashpoint continuity "errors" in Earth 12

About the purple planet …
Museums often have “works in progress” or exhibits that are in partial construction. I’m inclined to think that the purple planet is an attempt to make something resembling Apokolips, with the “volcanoes” meant to show off Kirby dot energy when activated.

I got distracted by seeing the Sonic shelf, good taste.
I would sell my right leg to make a DCAU Flash cartoon. I want a version of Zoom (Hunter Zolomon flavour) because I think he'd be a perfect character contrast to the DCAU version of Wally who is more laid back and slackery than the comic version. plus it'd be so sick to build him up over say a season and then do a big two parter where Zoom goes full nightmare fuel and ruins Wally's life to make him a "better hero".

about the symbols in the flash museum: while you said the reverse flash's symbol is usually mirrored, this actually wasn't true until relatively recently, for much of his existence the reverse flash's symbol just had the inverted colors of the flash's but was in the same orientation, so it's likely that was meant to be the reverse flash's symbol on the wall
Nice work Mattie and WTDB! You went the extra mile (🥁) and covered all 3 DCAU Flash museums, even though two of them don't even count! You guys are nothing if not thorough. Anyways, in regards to the Kid Flash costume, I (likely in my then never-ending apologetic quest to confirm Teen Titans as part of the DCAU) had always attributed it to Wally, as a former identity. This is mainly on the basis that most of the things in this museum are an homage to Wally's Flash and that the height of the manneuqin stands about even with Wally in the present as the Flash, suggesting he possibly aged out of the role. Also, the fact that it's on display suggests that whoever wore said suit has moved on and the mantle has been retired (ala the display cases in Batman Beyond). While it is possible that their is an adult-age Bart Allen Kid Flash, now possibly Impulse, in the DCAU, it seems more likely, given JLU (tie-in comic) incorporating Jay as the first Flash that Wally took on the name KF, before being eventually given the full-on Flash mantle from Jay. It's a bit dicey, I know, and there's the statement from Dwayne McDuffie that seems to contradict the JLU issue, but there is nothing on-screen to contradict the tie-in comic's cannonicity, so I think this theory could work. Just my thoughts; what do you all think?

My theory on the Garrick helmet: there was a justice league episode where the heroes except Batman and Superman get “transported” to a comic book world with heroes similar to the JSA. These were actual comic book heroes in the DCAU.
The show focused on Stewart’s fandom of the characters and the influence, but it’s highly possible based on wally’s character he was influenced as well.
While the Jay Garrick stand-in didn’t wear the trademark helmet, instead sporting something similar to a baseball helmet, it is entirely possible that in his comics he wore that helmet as a variation to the costume

While canonically they're probably just references and not literal items in the museum (unless flash at some point wore the helmet and costume before deciding on the red one), but I like to think that if we got more JLU, Flash would've been explored more and maybe these characters would either come into existence or be explained somehow. At the very least Jay Gerrick or The Reverse Flash probably would have appeared in a theoretical 4th season since they're the most popular flash-centric things
I mean I didn't see any real major hair differences in the Kid Flash costumes plus it would make sense since that Kid Flash costume looks like it was worn by an older Wally West (probably while Barry was still around) so it would make sense for the hair to be slightly different, I know my hair has changed a lot over the years

I think when it comes to the DCAU has them all secretly cannon , but have to introduce them eventually . If more comics come out introducing other characters into the DCAU cannon then there’s the proof . Jason Todd and Deathstroke are now cannon in the universe .

The purple suit kind of looks like a Tornado Twins suit. I see literally no way that the Tornado Twins would be in the DCAU, but it does look like one of Don or Dawn's suits.

Well, that helmet was based of the helmet of Hermes, messenger of the gods who can also run really fast, so it doesn't necessarily mean Jay Garrick, but we'd all be disappointed if it didn't.

Okay, this is going to be very far fetched but think about it: the purple sphere world is from the thinker! If you think about it in the flash tv show (yes I know is unrelated) the thinkers main goal was to become the most intelligent man on the planet and had to activate a plan called “the enlightenment” which had a ton of satellites in atmosphere dumbing people dumb. It’s more complicated then that but I believe those purple spheres were caused by the thinker
I like to think that the Kid Flash suit was Wally’s first suit. And if we’re going to talk about hair, the Kid Flash suit’s cowl made the wearer’s hair visible and able to stand up. While the Flash suit’s cowl would naturally make their hair flat which could be why Wally’s hair is flat. Then again it’s just a theory.

I think the purple planet is the "Sapphire planet" From The Flash #32 from 1948, and would appear a few more times. It was the home of the original Star Sapphire who is a Jay Garrick villain. Although just my guess.

I think the purple planet it's a reference to that episode with the black crystal, and ghost snakes that possess the league and were about to black the sun, or maybe those white alien from the pilot who also wanted to black sun and the black dots represente the machinery they used

My theory is that the purple planet is the world of S'Kidd Flash.
The purple planet might be a model of Apokolips, with the nubby things being the fire pits. It looks off because it's a rendition by an artist who had very little information to work from.
