    Love this game so much. Great tips! I have just recently found out that JUCO players are a lot like World players, in that the computer does not go after them very hard. So especially in the first years of a career legacy, I like to go after 4- and 5-star Freshman JUCO guys (because I will still get them for 3 years) and that helps me fill out my class! Also, have you noticed that sometimes when you have offered a World recruit a scholarship and you are literally the only school on his list at the end of the year but he still doesn't sign with anyone? Like he just doesn't sign anywhere...That has happened to me a couple of times and it makes me reluctant to pursue World recruits...have you seen that happen and do you know why it happens or how to prevent it?

      once the interest bar reaches 100 that’s when you know they will commit if you add a WRLD player to late it’s hard to get the interest bar all the way to 100 because you can only do phone calls, i agree with the juco players they do typically come pretty easy i do sometimes have a problem that when they aren’t playing as much come their junior and senior years their player confidence is very low and often transfers out. the 5 stars are typically pretty good but 4 stars typically average out to the same overall as a high school players.

      I would suggest always putting all the 4 and 5 star or any WORLD players you like on you board at that start of the season and always give them their phone calls each week, I typically wont offer them up until the end of the season if I cant get my high school players. once you offer the scholarship you will see the interest bar go up if its not at least 90% by the last week of off season recruiting it probably wont reach 100%. I hope this is a better answer that helps!

      is there a way to creat a roster on more than one team and then add those teams and rosters you made to a legacy season?

    If you coach a power conference, do you recommend to provide a tough preseason schedule where your opponents are ranked or have a 2-3 ranked teams and play mid majors?
    I coached UCLA and recruit 5 5 star and 4 4 star freshmen. Ended the season with 13-15 due to injuries and lack of chemistry despite changing the starting line ups consistently

    • @yerpmansports
      @yerpmansports  Před rokem +1

      honestly i would recommend not having a crazy out of conference schedule if you’re in a power conference bc your conference will be more than enough tough games to keep you ranked and get you in the tournament. player confidence plays a big part in team chemistry, if multiple players are upset it will significantly hurt the team, i would use as many pep talks and meeting with players as much as i can. also take into account the minutes everyone plays. if a guy is a starter one year and the next he’s 7th man he will take a significant drop. Some players when you recruit them their main priority is playing time especially 5 stars so if they don’t get enough in their first season they will grow to be unhappy very quick. Also need to take into account player experience when putting lineups together, it can lower a players confidence if they have no experience compared to the rest of the team having lots. one way to combat this is having a Coach on Floor.

    Yooo bro, just picked this up locally yesterday. Was wondering how much my team’s performance effects my job offers when they finally start coming. I know on ncaa 10 your alma mater/picked favorite team will be calling no matter what

    • @yerpmansports
      @yerpmansports  Před rokem +1

      team performance highly effects your job offers more than anything the next best thing is coaching stats the game doesn’t care to much for top recruiting classes if they don’t perform

    It was super hard to recruit 5 stars in 2k8. College hoops 2k7 was way better as far as recruiting goes.

      i’ve haven’t had a chance to play it yet. do you think it’s better than 2k8. i honestly like the recruiting in 2k8 as it isn’t easy like ncaa

      @@yerpmansports it’s not better but the recruiting is so hard in 2k8. In 2k7, once you get offered a job at a power or major college, the recruiting becomes a whole lot easier. Not the same for 2k8.

    The problem is that world recruits are much lower than national recruits. EXCEPT recruits from Mexico, oddly enough.
    I recommend recruiting a minimum of 4 star recruits from overseas if you’re at your beginner school, 5 stars only at every school beyond that, keeping an eye out for mexican recruits, recruiting canadian players, and going after JuCO.
