    The Tremor can haul your whole family, all their gear, while towing a trailer, and go offroad. The Power Wagon has such low payload you might exceed it just going on a family ski trip. I own a 2022 F350 Tremor 7.3L that’s rated for 3816lbs payload, more than twice the PW.

  • @fscottgray9784
    @fscottgray9784 Před rokem +72

    For those of us who do take their trucks off roading these are important facts of stock trucks. Tremor has 10.8 inches of ground clearance and a RTI score of 366. The power wagon has 14.2 inches of ground clearance and a RTI score of 538. Tremor has a much higher payload and more engine options. Chose the Ford for heavy work and light off roading. PW for dedicated off roading.

      Well said. If you tow period and have a family, pick the tremor. It’s more than capable of the off-roading 90% of people will do, but retains the payload of the f350. That’s very important when you start putting 4 adult size people, gear, and any real trailer tongue weight on your truck, much less something like our 750-900lb tongue weight. Power wagon can’t handle that. We’ve got an f350 tremor 7.3 on order and taking delivery sometime in the next week.

    just to let you know, the F250 Temor has the same axle, rear end and number of leaf springs as the F350. They just rate the weight different because all the 350's are classed as commercial and 250 are not and need to stay under the 10K gross for some states.

    If I were to choose between a Power Wagon and F250 Tremor, I'd take the Ford right now. Just a better truck in general and as you said, I like most people am not doing serious off roading, just light stuff here and there. I've owned one F250, and two Ram 1500's including my current 2021 Rebel. I'll eventually go heavy duty down the road and an F250 Tremor is my top contender as of now. And yes, the Power Wagon getting bigger tires would help it out a ton.

    Major difference for me is price. Diesel, cost more at the pump, you have to add def now, maintenance is more expensive as well. Power wagon, fully loaded 70-75k. Cheaper gasoline, cheaper maintenance. But the Hemi will probably blow up within a 100-200k miles so its a cheap ticking time bomb alternative.

    Ben, Ben, Ben.... I have to say, I'm worn a little thin by SO MANY CZcamsrs making videos on a subject and saying "no one does the thing this was designed for". Most notably diving with dive watches and offroading offroaders. As an avid diver and 4x4 enthusiast this is so frustrating. I get it, at lot of these are parked in apartment buildings and restaurant bar parking lots their whole life but that is also only a fraction, albeit larger, of the market. Before making these statements do a quick search and you will see that MANY people are pushing these trucks to their limits. People like me are coming to these videos to talk about the features that make these great off road. Just some food for thought man. On a Tremor/PowerWagon note: we need higher payload (Think Silverado HD) and all the toys/options/engines along with it. Looking forward to the HD ZR2 offering. Love your videos, appreciate all your content, GM especially.

      The f350 tremor retains the payload of a normal f350 srw while being the second best hd truck for off-roading. Tfl did a flex test and a run down on the features of the gmc at4, ford tremor, and ram power wagon. The pw was by far the best in the tests, but it only has the 6.4 and 13xx lbs of payload. Not near enough. Tremor had more off road oriented upgrades than the at4 and the 2nd best flex out of the 3 while retaining its payload and diesel motor option.

Apparently since 2021, the navigation system will lock itself after whatever period the dealer decides to give you for free, and it becomes a $90 yearly subscription. Imagine finding this out as you go to punch in an address on your nice 12” screen and wondering why literally everything is greyed out. You don’t get many miles out of these tires. Now I am a farmer and push this truck to its limits daily. 1,100lbs in the bed everyday from tools and towed a 12k trailer today and it handles it no problem but if you do this type of work regularly the tires last about 20-25k miles. Getting a set of Yokohama x-at tomorrow. Also had 6 flats in that 25k miles but will also say not 100% the tire’s fault either but never had that many flats in such a short time. Just saying for someone that’s had the truck 6 months it’s kind of disappointing to need new tires already. Tires do not ride or drive well after 15k miles either. Not just me having these issues my dad and 2 uncles have the same truck 2022 f250 tremors all 4 same thing. Truck is great tires are sub par.

To those dumb asses, a Trans cost 1600 to rebuild or 2500 to uograde over a 8 to 10k Ford engine that doesn't last as long. Doesn't take but common sense to add that up. Do the owners of these oversized trucks realize that they are responsible for making the cost of fuel higher. By driving these wasteful behemoths just so you can look macho, and not using them for their practical applications, you are a danger to other vehicles, because they are too wide and long to fit in a parking space and block the lane behind them. How many of you have heard the old saying: use the right tool for the jog? by driving these giant trucks, it's like using a sledgehammer to put a thumbtack into the wall! (of course, i realize that some owners have to legitimately need to carry big heavy loads, and this is not intended for you)

      I'm a red-blooded American! I like big trucks, big guns, strong whiskey, and big titted women! And above all, the freedom to enjoy all of the previous! If you want to drive a tiny shitbox Citroën in heavy traffic amongst a bunch of screeching socialists, move to Paris!
