I never felt the urge to hug my 8 year old daughter more than after watching this movie. I felt so connected to my childhood in so many emotional ways! Barbie becoming self aware is literally every single girl after playing with her barbie and coming back to reality...this movie is genius ❤

Honestly I feel the plot is mimicking Spongebob the movie. where 2 very naive people went to real world and discover reality is much harsher than they thought it would be.

This movie was REALLY good I saw it with my mother today. I almost became emotional when Sasha’s mother made a speech about the reality of being a woman and how hard it is. I never really thought about it. I just go through my every day strong with my head held high. REALLY great movie! I’d definitely see it again 💖💖

I am so excited. Seven of my Barbie Movie dolls arrived today, along with my Movie Pink Corvette, which in my "Barbie Land" is MY new car because my car's engine blew out two years ago, leaving me having to walk in the cold & heat because I don't know of anyone to depend on to give me a ride. There is no way I will ever be able to save up enough money to purchase any used car in this lifetime of mine. Along with my order arrived my exclusive Barbie outfits. I sat, staring at all of the beauty in my dolls clothes, their faces, the color of their eyes, Simu's side moles/freckles, the shoes, and everything in between. What a WONDERFUL Birthday Gift this was to myself, as I had saved, and saved for these Barbie's & Ken's for the past 6 months. I am still waiting on my Disco Gold Margot Robbie, and my Ryan Gosling "A Perfect Day" Ken to arrive on the 29th. I have been a collector for 58 years now, a non-deboxer. My oldest NRFB Barbie's are Donny & Marie Osmond from 1976. I have often thought of selling my beautiful girls to try to purchase a car with, but I can't do it. Plus, it still wouldn't be enough money. THIS Movie has ALWAYS been my "Barbie Land", and ALWAYS will be! "I'm a Barbie Girl In A Barbie Land", even at my age. HAPPY 60th BARBIE BIRTHDAY TO ME! FINALLY seeing Barbie TODAY w/bestie for Birthday! I can't WAIT. BUT I'm confused because thinking abut seeing it is making me emotional, like even crying now...please, ANYONE ELSE FEEL THE SAME? Barbie seems to be about freeing us from destructive beliefs...like the body hatred I had that led me into Eating Disorder treatment last year; Now, I'm finally mostly cured and DONE trying to be "perfect". The treatment staff taught us that we are ALL wonderful and valuable people, no matter WHAT kind of bodies we have; I believe this now, but it's still hard sometimes. Margot Robbie was GREAT in this. The trailer doesn't show her emotional range in this film.
I thought the movie overall was great.
To be fair, Ken was always a second class citizen in Barbie world. Without Barbie, he's nothing but a soon-to-be-discontinued toy.

👦🏿 I'm in my late 30s ... I saw Barbie The Movie this week, in Paris. That was so refreshing, plunging me deep back to childhood .. as a boy, it was frowned upon to play Barbie, Ken, Nikki, Skipper, etc, in their Dreamhouse. But guess what ? No one can destroy ur IMAGINATION and watching this movie, was like a sort of sweet "revenge" for me, but also a beautiful reminder that it's so important to never lose our child-like spirit 💕 CONGRATS to Greta Gerwig and the a.m.a.z.i.n.g casting !

I saw this movie today and it was so fun, but also had a message. The creative aspect was over the top amazing and the acting is superb.
