WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use CZcamss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and CZcams deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

The only thing I can think of to improve that GMT is to just move the date window to the "6" o'clock position.
yea, but I think they're tied from the movement NH35.
@@Zeratsu ... I looked it up you can have a NH35 with a 6 o'clock date position. In fact I believe that my Phoibos Eagle Ray has that.

What a great date/GMT combo. Fantastic in black... but the Orange bezel/ grey dial diver is even better
I am wearing my SN0129 at the moment, since my Mrs is away travelling, it's nice to track her time zone. But my niggles are that it's exceedingly difficult to screw in the crown without advancing the GMT hand at the same time... which is clearly a fault with my unit. And the micro-adjust range in the clasp is shorter than the length of the bracelet links, and I am unlucky enough to have a wrist size that can't achieve a comfortable fit. But I didn't pay much for the watch, and returning to Ali Express is not a great option, so I'm just living with it.
Niggles in paris
I thought the Aventurine dial was lovely, but Lapis Lazuli makes it just gorgeous!
I like both of them, the aventurine dial is stunning. I hope San Martin have now learnt that it's better to do away with the polished center links. And I like the second watch too. I've seen this kind of mesh bracelet with removable sections on some Breitling watches. And they managed to combine the mesh with a clasp that still has quick adjustment without be as long as their other quick adjustment clasp.
I got used them and think they look nice now
Usually I would prefer a fully brushed bracelet, but the white sand dune dial version calls for a bit more bling, and the polished centre links are just what is needed.

Lapis lazuli is one of my favorite stones but the aventurine and marble are also very pretty.

very happy with my lapis lazuli colorway, ties with my ice blue as favorite.
I love the design of that SN0129. It's a homage done right. Inspired by the Grand Seiko SBGE285G, but still it's own thing. More sporty and cleaner looking - and much better to my eyes.
I really want this, but I need them to add a rotating bezel as I do use them to time daily tasks. Just amazing.
Other changes to the SN0129 are improved BGW-X1 lume and the GMT hand is now red, making it slightly more distinctive. They all look beautiful.. typical that they were announced two days after my V1 was delivered!

The price on these is pretty damn good.
The V1 of the second watch did catch my eye a while back because of the orange bezel. Not so keen on the grey dial though, would like a white dial with black hands version if SM decided to do different colour versions. Bracelet does look really nice.
San Martin just keeps making great looking watches. I would love for SM to make the hands a bit thicker for the 1st watch shown. I like the second watch showed it seems a bit more of an attemped to their own design. Love the bracelet too.
They both seem like great values. The diver is one I would welcome into my collection!
The second one is stunning ‼️
I had the V1 in my basket for long enough that it was unfortunately discontinued. For a while they could be found on Ebay, but those seem to be gone now. The handset was very different (maybe you'd call them sword hands, they were pointy) and the indices were round and gave more of a sense of elevation off the dial (at least in pictures) plus an engineer style bracelet that was a perfect match with the watch. I was surprised at the changes they made.
That 2nd watch (grey dial/ orange bezel) is a really sharp piece. However, it became an absolute no-go for me once you confirmed my suspicion of the NH35 movement being used. Nothing says laziness or cheapskate more than producing a ⌚ with a 👻-pull of the 👑.
If I were a YT content creator, these types of ⌚⌚ would only be featured on deficiency focused videos. 🧐😖
I really like both of these timepieces, however I have a similar aventurine watch to the SN0129 from Venezianico (way more expensive). For my money the SN085 with the black dial and red bezel looks way better than the grey dial.
The GMT looks so sharp. Especially like the Lapis Lazuli dial!

btw San Martin's best watch is the SN0026-G-JS. their original design is a modernized and classier Paul Newman Daytona. have you reviewed it?

On the first one,the only thing that drives me crazy is too many numbers on the chapter ring. I have NO IDEA why,but they do. The rest is superb.
That mesh bracelet looks amazing.
I really like both of these, but I think the colour combo's offered for the 0085 are less than great, and I'm not wild about the dial either.
I'd like to see a matte black ceramic dial insert, or a blasted stainless one, on a matte or polished black dial.
Everything else is great though.
I wouldn't argue if it were one millimeter smaller, but wouldn't want it if it were one millimeter bigger.

The GMT one looks awsome, like a real micro-brand watch.
The diver looks like a mod. Like the og insert was swapped for a rolex style one.

Gonna have to bite the bullet and get a San Martin. Every one that comes out seems an improvement on the last plus more original designs help.

miyota seems to be rather tightly controlling that movement. that said there have been several great mircobrand watches that are every bit as good as sm and reasonably affordable. I have a traska and zelos and they are both fantastic

Hey Gary. I have the sand dune dial. Do you know if they are offering the new brushed bracelet as a standalone item? Those polished center links are an absolute fingerprint magnet ..and my only complaint with the watch.

I reached out to SM to see if they can supply the brushed bracelet separately so that I can put it on my v1, but sadly they say due to design changes it won't fit 😢

Hi from Turkey I am following AliExpress watches for a while and watch your videos about them. I have also bought two of them. But I wonder your opinion about the durability of those quality chinese brands. Are these watches as durable as seiko, citizen or orient? İnitial impressions are very good because of price performance rates, I know. But I wonder whether we will be using these nice watches with great specifications 20 years later or not? How long will they last?
Most of them are but for better durability your probably need to look at the watches costing $200-$300. The cheaper ones are more likely to have issues I believe. Thanks for watching!

SM’s 0129’s are some of the best watches on sale. Not just some of the best SM Watches on sale. As for the other, I know they’ve had this design or something akin to it for a while. And while appreciate their efforts at originality, I think this one is a bit of a miss. Thanks as always.

Ugh....whats up with yet another GMT? Get rid of that nasty unnecessary fourth hand, beef up the hour markers, the hour and the minute hand and add a shiny sloping bezel in stead of that 24h scale and I will buy my first SM.
