Been running a pair of pb-1000's for a while now, truly impressive for a small bedroom setup! Cannot wait to see what this pro 2000 will be like!
Loving my NSD12. Everyone that comes over is blown away by it and gets to hear me sing praise for SVS. Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these!
Did you just buy it on Black Friday? I've been debating whether to get one of those or springing the extra $200 for a SB-2000. This 'Pro' announcement makes me less excited to buy a now-outdated SB-2000 for anywhere near full retail though.
@@OMG_BeCkY did you decide on subwoofers
@@waymonfrench2077 I went with an SB-2000...snagged it for $450 OOP on ebay.
@@OMG_BeCkY oh yeah, (sweet)congratulations
Yes. They finally centered the ports on the 2000 series! I couldn’t stand the offset port😂
Sounds like you have a curse called, OCD
Still love my dual PB 12+/2. I have had them for over 13 years.
Just set up my pair of PB2000 Pros over the weekend. Played the intro to Live, Die, Repeat (several times). My neighbor came over the next day and saw the boxes in the garage and said, "That explains it." The bass was vibrating his house. These are some AMAZING subs. They replaced a single 15" Velodyne and took my system to a whole other level. Still working with the app to tune them, but they are unbelievable right out of the box.
Thanks for the props. That's a dangerous demo track and not always neighbor-approved.
Please find a better way to reach overseas SVS fans. Your dealers are pure rip offs. These beauties are totally out of our reach. Really wish SVS could set up their own outlets outside the US or ship the subs out themselves.
I endorse this message, I live in Barbados and because of all the addition charges my dual pc2000's cost me $3000 US.
This. One pb-2000 costs 1200 USD in Denmark :(
@@BuffSquadBigBenni absolutely rediculous.... Although you're getting it cheaper than I am.
YES TOTALLY AGREED , In Malaysia SB 2000 selling USD 1080 and PB 2000 is USD 1200. absolutely rediculous.
There a huge market for SVS in india.
Try buying them in India, with Distributer/dealer margins prices end up being atleast 2 times or more for what their sold in the usa.
I'd like to personally thank Gary and everyone else in the SVS family for making such amazing products. I thoroughly enjoy listening to my PB-2000 and SVS Ultra speakers every day. I look forward to getting an PB-2000 Pro as my second sub soon. From my family to yours have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year you guys. I wish you all nothing but success and happiness.

Thanks for the kind words Kevin, we really appreciate the props, it makes what we do that much more rewarding! -Nick
@@SVS_Sound I currently have a single Pb-2000 and am in the process of converting my klipsch set to the much better ultra line (front end done, surrounds soon) and prime elevations for heights.
Anyway I was just about to purchase a 2nd pb-2000 but so glad i waited because deep down ive really wanted the 3000 for the dual ports so this blew my mind. My question is can i do duals with the pb-2000 pro in front and my old pb-2000 in the rear of the room? Or would I be better of trading in my single pb-2000 for dual 2000 pros? At this point Id rather finish my ultra set before buying 2 brand new subs but if they wont blend well I will.
You get your 20000 pro
Had the the satellites with a pb1000, absolutely amazing for the size. Had them for over a year and the upgrade bug kicked in so I thought I would sample some different speakers. I tried the klipsch rp600 but in my room the satellite sounded more cinematic, then tried the elac b6.2, were better in my room than the klipsch but just did not have that sense of space and air you get from that svs tweeter. Finally got the prime bookshelf’s and center and in a word wow absolutely blow away for music and movies even with the prices in the UK. I have sampled lots of speakers in my room and nothing gets you as close to that clear forward cinematic sound that these primes bring to the table. Just wish as others have said it was svs direct sales in the uk
damn! just grabbed my first SVS sub on black friday! (pb12-nsd) Now this thing comes out! WTH! looks awesome guys! keep up the bad ass work.
Thank God for that one year upgrade policy... 😉
Very nice!. Nothing wrong with improving on an already great product, I’m looking forward to doing a review on them..
svs como siempre sorprendiendo a todo el mundo del audio
That was the one thing I wish the sb2000 had, was the ability to use the app, and now just 10 months after I got my dual sb 2000 SVS comes out with the Pro's version I hope this falls within the 1-Year Trade-Up Policy if so I am in on the upgrade!!!
Please send our support team a note (custservice@svsound.com) and they'll let you know what the options are.
I’d be happier then a kid Christmas morning if one of these were under my tree.
I am a noob when it comes to subwoofers, my amp has sub preout, thinking of getting the sb 2000 pro to connect up to it as I want a bit of kick when I watch movies at night. My speakers are klipsch rp600m. When you increase the volume on the amp does it raise the volume of the sub at the same time? Genuine question.
You guys should do this with the 1000 series, I’ve had the PB-1000 for over a year and wow! Probably the craziest 10 inch i’ve ever heard. Never expected such a small driver to even hit 17 Hz with decent output. That monster is underrated!
Not in the immediate future, but stay tuned!
@@SVS_Sound Ohhh, I will :)
If you made a PB 1000 pro with 2 ports, an optional metal grill and increased the amp to 400 watts that would probably become your best selling sub.
kazcnepj They’d need a beefier driver like the old pb-10nsd and isd for it to handle that power. And it’d probably be difficult to retail it for 500$. If they’d retail it for anymore you’d be better off with a hsu subwoofer, they aren’t as musical as the pb-1000 though cause of the driver size difference, 10 inch vs 15. but I’d love a pro version of the 1000 series. The 1000 series was released in 2013 and still is the best 10 inch subwoofer that can hit subsonic frequencies(below 20 hz). Well there’s the monolith 10 but I’ve seen comparisons and the pb-1000 still beats it in output and how musical it is despite the monolith 10 having a beefier driver. Well SVS lowkey gave a teaser telling that they’ll eventually release the 1000 pro series. They can’t really increase the price that much if they want it to be their best selling subwoofer line.
This mean an SB-3000 pro is inbound? Would love to see that!
Awesome news! Now can we do this with a newer and even better Ultra Tower/Ultra Series? (With more concentration on Mids, Highs, Shape, Off axis response, overall sound, and slightly less on bass) Now that, I'd be HIGHLY interested in. 😁
I have a CT 120 Velodyne that just died on me. I really loved this sub. Will I like the SVS even more? What model would I go for?
Sold. Just what I've been looking for. It's got the output that I was looking for, and the size of the cabinet is not enormous so it doesn't visually dominant my room as much when I go duals.....thank you.
What's your room size mine is 22×19×8 you gonna get these subs
Waymon French the room I’m putting it in is smaller than yours....I’m either going with dual pb 2000 pros or dual pb 3000’s.
@@dwp1slyfox you sound like me I keep going back and forth between pb2000 pro and pb3000
Cant find any reviews plenty on the 3000s
Waymon French yeah no reviews yet for the 2000 pros....I know they’ll get the job done in my space but the 3000’s are calling me. I’ll see how they review then decide.
Hallo SVS ! I have an idea , make big active loudspeakers in ULTRA range ! Imagine an ULTRA active standmound and floorstanding !
Awesome upgrade to an already superb range of subs. Will it be a good to add one to my existing PC2000? Will they play nicely together?
Yes. You'll want to do some DSP tuning to get them blended, but they can be matched. Just drop a line to our support team and they can walk you through it.
I doubt it
Let's see the A/B charts of their performance from the other models.
Still have my two CS+ and Sampson amp back in 1999...but that upgrade bug is creeping.
I have a SVS sb 2000 which is unbelievable ,I would be curious to see,in fact to hear the new model
any buyers remorse on the sub
No mesh metal grille? I like that so much more than the cloth cover. Will it be an option?
Not immediately, we'll pass your feedback along for future consideration.
@@SVS_Sound That would be wonderful if there was an "upgrade" option in the future on the grill!!
@@SVS_Sound Agreed would love metal grill also!
Actually funny enough I’m the opposite I wish the cloth was an option for the larger ones I want.. imagine it came with both options in the box lol
Sly foxxx and if it were magnetic?! Even better. That’s be beautiful, a nice magnetic cloth grill
I currently own the SVS PB12plus, and I'm looking into switching to a PC-version ( less intrusive in my 30 square meter room ). With my PB12plus , I had to move the sub out of the corner to get rid of the massive room gain, so it's now placed in the middle of the shortest side of the rectangular room. This gives me more definition in bass, less "boomy". Regarding a PC-version, is that more easy to place in a rectangular room compared to PB-version ? ( PS : crossover for the sub now is set to 40 Hz on my Marantz receiver. My Focal Kanta nr3's do the rest ). Thx for some advice. Love SVS !
Yes, the down-firing driver does make it a bit easier to place in a room. With bass being onmnidirectional, you may still get some excited room gain "boominess" but it should be lessened. Great question!
This is just great!!! I already wanted to replace my onkyo 125w sub with a standard p2-2000 in a real bad way. Then svs does this to me and gave it a upgradde with two d's for a double dose of pimpin, thanks boys!! Can't wait till the wallet lets me get one.
What
Superb sub 😍
I need a white sb 2000 pro, so my better half let's me keep it in the living room ;)
Funny I just purchased five svs ultra bookshelves in piano white because of the better half. Would love to see SvS introduce a piano gloss white line on the reference level subwoofers.
I was about to purchase a white sb2000. Now this pro model kinda threw me off and wish it comes in white as well
Just get rid of your significant other
Would 2 of these be sufficient for a living room in a large open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, or would it take a pair of 15" or 18"? I'm not sure of the overall volume, but the living room is open to kitchen, dining room, front room & foyer, with ceilings that go up to 14 ft max in the middle.
If you're running duals, you'd be OK. I would recommend going with the ported cabinet PB-2000 Pro as it has greater output capabilities to fill the space.
Love SVS...
Bought the pb2000 last year. Can i pair this pb2000pro or get the same old pb2000? Is there an option to upgrade the cloth grille?
Please email our support team at custservice@svsound.com and we can provide options on the grilles.
Can i seal the ports on this model?
Can you just replace the plate Amp and driver of the original SB2000 with the pro version, keeping the same cabinet? Will svs offer such upgrade in the future?
Please contact the SVS support team (custservice@svsound.com) and they can advise what the options are for amplifier replacements.
I'm thinking all day about whether I should get the PB 2000 or PB 2000 Pro. I want the Pro but the price went up, and the price went down on the original. So I'm looking at $700 for the original and $1100 for the Pro. Big difference, I don't know if I can justify it
Great video! How much better than the pb200 is the pro series?
You will get slightly greater output and low frequency extension from the more powerful amp and redesigned driver. The SVS subwoofer control app is also great feature that's been added.
Nice... I wish this would have been done earlier bc I own 4 PB-2000 series.
Is the old 2000 series no longer going to be manufactured and is it being replaced by the 2000 pro series?
Yes, the 2000 Pro Series is replacing the original 2000 Series.
SVS nice... will you still be supporting parts for the previous 2000 series?
Wow 4 pb2000 I'm impressed
Do the ported and sealed boxes use the same subwoofer? 🔊
The internal design is slightly different as well as the driver motor, but amp specs are the same.
Will the sb2000 pro be available in piano white?
Yes, in Europe immediately, then potentially in the US in early 2020.
In EU this 900 USD PB-2000PRO costs 1200 USD - that is insane.
just bought a pair of sb 2000 pros heard a lot of good stuff about these hope the don't dissapiont
Thank you! Drop us a line if you need any help with setting it up.
@@SVS_Sound wish I would have known svs is from Youngstown ohio im up in warren I would have come down and got them also I have a set of polk rta 15t,s will these work together slowly upgrading to home theater
Nice!!
I have been torn between the SB2000 Pro & the PB2000 Pro. I want a sub more for music than for a home theater setup yet I listen to a lot of bass heavy electronic music that reaches down to the lowest of frequencies (not mid ranged electronic music that's more main stream). It seems like the consensus online is that the SB is better for music and the PB is better for home theater due to its larger output and lower frequency range. How ever the response on the PB seems to be almost as flat as the SB. I would be doing most of my listening in a small bedroom that's about 10x10ft and a living room that's 20x20ft. I also produce music a little bit and want an accurate sub.
It comes down to how much space you have and much weight you are comfortable moving around. Ported gives you those gunshot sounds that make you jump out of your chair and shake your walls but they are generally much bigger and heavier than sealed. Sealed can get almost as deep, just never quite the snap or punch in the chest. Sealed subs will always offer tighter faster bass. So either get one of each or flip a coin lol. I prefer Sealed just because I usually don't have the space for ported.
Plugging the ports on the subs would improve sound quality and likely be better than just listening to music through a ported sub... but this is advice from someone who hasn't used a ported sub in a long time.
While not wanting to take away from this great news, will you be launching a new 2000 series in 2020 ? Curious as you state the pro is not the new 2000 series.I have an SB2000 but want to go dual, was hoping to trade in toward 2 new 2000’s (as in the new series following on from the 3000) appreciate now there is a pro the new 2000 will have a higher rrp.
Love your work btw!!
Thanks and sorry for the confusion, the 2000 Pro Series is replacing the original 2000 Series. Send our support team a note (custservice@svsound.com) and they can advise on what the trade-in options are for 2000 Pro or 3000s.
Thanks, yes I understand the pro is replacing the current 2000 series with all new driver, amplifier and features including the app etc...looks great!
What confused me is at 1:10 Gary states the 2000 pro series is not the new version of the 2000 series this is why we chose the name pro....it made me think the pro is like a face lifted 2000 series with an entirely new model coming later. Maybe I should have interpreted as it’s still the SB 2000 you love but made reference. Thanks again, looking forward to demoing !
@@SVS_Sound So if you're discontinuing the original 2000 series does that mean you'll do special Black Friday runs of them at lower prices starting next year (like you did with the NSD12 this year)?
@@SVS_Sound Well thanks for not answering my question. Guess I'll go with another brand.
I find it quite interesting that despite the PB2000 Pro being more powerful and having a better driver it weighs slightly less than the old PB2000 so is it being made cheaper than before?
probably class of amp changed. makes a huge difference.
@@Rob-tl9md I didn't think about that your probably right.
The amplifier platform has been revised and the weight of the grille has also been reduced.
@@SVS_Sound Ah thank you for answering my question most companies wouldn't do that.
Does this mean the discontinuation of the previous 2000 series incarnations?
The previous 2000 Series are no longer for sale on the SVS website, but you can still find them at dealers, on Amazon and potentially in promos from us in the future.
@@SVS_Sound can you match a pb2000 pro with a single pb3000
Hu not in Australia. $2100 for the SVS 2000 PRO
Dual PB1000 or one SVS PB12 Pro?
Duel subs will always sound better. Even if you give this example with a single PB 16 ultra. 2 PB 1000’s will sound better than a single sub. Get ported if you can fit the size in your space.
The PB 2000 is what I wanted to purchase. But your distributor in Kuwait, Xcite Alghanim, doesn’t get them here. 👎🏽
So I bought a PB 1000
I'm looking, searching for a true GameChanger! Have I actually come across one here?
I bought a pb2000 pro last week, very powerful but according to dirac it rolls off quickly at 30hz!! No where near the claimed 17hz. I have moved it all around my room. Why??
Please contact our support team at custservice@svsound,com or 877.626,5623 and we can help you get the subwoofer dialed in so you get the LFEs it's capable of.
is a pc3000 coming?
Not currently in the plans but thanks for the interest!
@@SVS_Sound oh ok, ty.
How much will it retail for?
Prices are on the SVS site if you are based in the US: www.svsound.com/collections/2000-pro-series
Hope that this Woofer has no coil whine like my SB16...
If you're having technical issues with your subwoofer, please email our customer service team and we'll take care of you, custservice@svsound.com.
Does that mean it has some sort of room correction integration?
The app allows you to make adjustments based on room anomalies and measurements, or corrections to auto room EQs. It does not have room correction built in. This is a great tutorial if needed: czcams.com/video/Ct9N2QiEVvg/video.html
Time for Ultra 2 towers
Wish i could get a free SVS SB-2000 pro and a PB-2000 pro! Please SVS?
Its funny how you make discrete FET output a 'feature'.
It might not be special, but it's an improvement worth mentioning if it leads to increased heat tolerance compared to the old design.
Please expand your zone of influence beyond USA. There's a lot of markets which they can steamroll the existing competitors.
Thanks, we're working hard to expand globally, you can find all distributors outside the U.S. here: www.svsound.com/pages/international-dealers
6:17 not happy with those capacitors really cheap quality, but at the same time I understand the price point its set at, the box + sub material quality is really good, though that amplifier and power supply is not designed by you guys.
FUCK! I bought SVS PB2000 3 months ago and now you guys are launching SVS PB2000 PRO with new driver and new amp. FUCK. :(

@@SVS_Sound yeah I would have done that gladly but im all the way across the globe. Specifically Eastern Europe, Serbia. :(
PB2000 Pro costs $2000 AUD. GTFO dealers.
REL is way better
Way too pricy..i heard the HSU 12 inch sub is better then pb 2000 and cheaper..check out home theater hobbyist
Mike Davis I think I’ll check that channel. I want a sealed sub that digs to at least 20 hZ, also want to run dual subs.
You can get the hsu vtf3 mk5hp cheaper than the pb2000 pro and it crushes the performance of all the 2000 series
These are truly nice units and I can agree with a modest price range but the tech babble hinting towards some level of "new engineering" is cringe worthy. It’s just re-inventing the wheel. The only real advantage to modern technology gains come in amplifier efficiency and mainly in the control pre circuitry for tuning. Other than that it’s all been done before.
So lame, was really hoping for a new flagship or PC-16 Ultra.
i was hoping for Dual 16s or 18s. Very disappointed in this.
would be too expensive
