That’s exactly my problem! I’ve always had my hair layered or else it would poof up especially when it’s humid. Then in the past year I have been getting an undercut and it immediately removed 1/4 of the volume. This made my hair look somewhat normal.

It helps young girls today to understand they don’t have to abuse their hair to fit in or be found attractive. When I was younger I had very thick and frizzy hair, none of the girls in my class had that and I desperately wanted to fit in. So I straightened my hair a lot because I was made to believe my hair was ugly and it shouldn’t look that way. Nobody ever said a nice thing about my hair, even my family made jokes about it until I started straightening it. On the last day of school this popular but very sweet girl that I admired came up to me and said how beautiful she had always thought my hair was, a bunch of other girls overheard and agreed. It finally dawned upon me that I never had to be embarrassed about my hair and everyone is always gonna want something they don’t have. Because we believe they must have a better life, instead of just appreciating what we have and being proud of it. It would have helped tremendously to see a girl like me, with my hair, talk about her experiences and teaching me I don’t have to hide or change it in any way just to fit in. I would’ve loved to have a role model like that but I didn’t grow up with social media. I’m glad young girls can find women to look up to these days just on their phone and it’s more accepted to stand out. Every influencer these days is kind of required to have a specific trait or niche they talk about, it’s what sets them apart. If she makes money off of inspiring young girls, then I’m very happy that she is able to have a positive impact and pay her bills with that.
My hair is the exact same as yours. I always thought I had straight hair, but with ends that wave out in different directions. But, I just had slightly wavy hair. And honestly, it was a gift sent from heaven because I really love it now after watching this. So, thank you.

@@SrijanSharma7 Hmm, so I just would use a good shampoo and conditioner in the shower, and use a hair spray that moisturizes your hair for when you get out when it's still wet, and it works fine for me. You can also style your hair so it's not as frizzy. But usually after brushing it in the morning it does frizz a little, so just let it die down

@@Godwearspink sure! i’ve just gotten into hair care so i don’t know much, but i do know that argan oil does wonders for my hair. on my hair wash days i shampoo in the shower and then use conditioner (leave in for abt 5 mins, it helps make your hair softer). after i get out i use a leave in conditioner with argan and let it sit in my hair for 30 mins and then blow dry. after i take actual argan oil, put it from about halfway of my hair to the bottom, and then braid to help lock in the moisture. lastly, throughout the week i straighten my hair almost every day and since my hair is naturally frizzy i take another hair oil and apply it after i straighten my hair ALWAYS, this helps make my hair shinier and softer. i know this is a lot but i hope this helps 😭🩷

As a fellow Asian, my hair is wavy (which I actually love HAHAHAHA) however it’s freezy and I sometimes don’t brush it cuz it get puffy and I don’t like that so I just finger comb it. It’s not frizzy- it’s wavy! Believe it or not, once you add in the right styling products, get the right haircut, and don’t brush your hair- it stops being frizzy and the waves form on their own!
Nope, it's wavy! You can actually see a little bit of a wave pattern when she turns in the beginning of the video. There's also a tiny bit of texture. This coupled with the fact that her hair can't stay pin straight for long, wavy all the way. Maybe not as much as others, but it's wavy Some product and a diffuser would Really make the waves pop

I used to straighten my hair once in a while, on a whim. Every time I did, it rained.
I've also gotten an undercut to handle the thickness of my hair, it's been wonderful to have a ponytail that doesn't break ties

Growing up I always had curly hair, but as a started growing up, it’s straightened out, so some pieces are wavy and some are straight, but it’s still coarse and frizzy :/ I wish I know how to care for it or what hair cuts would suit me best since I feel like layers would make it even poofier

Omg i feel the same i just recently found out that my hair is not straight but in fact wavy, but growing up my hair was always straight so i wasn’t expecting it to change. But now, after learning how to maintain it, i love it! 😊

That’s like my hair! Thank you so much for this. I sometimes just straighten it because I don’t want to deal with it. It’s a little bit wavy especially if I put some gel in it and do some scrunchy stuff. I never really realized it but this video definitely helped out
