- This video is covering references contained in Episode 1 of Hyperdimension Neptunia The Animation. This is nowhere near all the references in episode 1, there are a lot more references not covered in this video.
I was originally planning on doing a full reference guide on the anime covering every single reference in detail however I ended up scrapping it in favor of making a weekly reference guide series. This video was midway through development however so I compiled what I finished, made a few tweaks, and decided to upload it for your enjoyment - Hry

Lol these are the trash tier references. These were the easiest to just knock right out since they are simple and require no explaining. Right in the beginning there was what I'd consider a god tier reference with the friendship treaty being a reference to the establishment of the ESRB that I will be covering in the next episode of the reference guide

Ya. Episode 1 went out of their way to make as many references as possible, and mostly really really obvious ones. Pretty sure I made a video on episode 2 and u can see the difference in the types and quantity of references. That, pluuus there is no other point in neptunia canon where they refer to the act of grinding as "being a monster hunter". Usually they refer to it as going on quests or doing work for the guild.
aaaah man this video takes me back. It was so much fun editing videos like these and the full reference guide videos (in spite of how time consuming and stressful episodes 4 and 5 were)
@@rkraiem100 cuphead got released on the Nintendo switch their other indie game they made got released on the switch banjo in Super Smash Brothers ultimate that's the reference how Microsoft and Nintendo good terms

Ya that wasn't in the dub and I'm not covering the japanese version. Maybe I'll cover some stuff in a later video but idk. Right now I'm in the middle of working on a fan adaptation of the SAO series using an updated version of my cutscene maker and that's taking much more time than I hoped it would
