    The names make sense for us who are Luos. KANO is a clan in out tribe Luo, which means a collection of people( clans) staying together, while Dala means home.

    The title is click bait. You mentioned populated and compared to Lagos but nothing in the video supports that statement. Population census has always being a controversial issue even before independence. With the Obasanjo census tipping Kano state to be more populated than Lagos state. This is also pushed because of resource allocation.
    The video should just have being titled why to visit kano.

For instance, Bola Ahmad Tinubu is a politician in Lagos, he owns Channels television, which is one, if the not the best channel television in Africa. Why not politicians like him in Kano produce such media platform? We have quite a lot of billionaires in Kano, if few can make a media outlet in Kano, maybe things will begin to be reported as accurately as they are supposed to be, as we can have a wider coverage

      In essence, Lagos is the most vibrant city in Nigeria, the commercial hub of the country thanks to the seaport privilege it enjoyed. But it really has even bigger advantages as almost all the media houses is located in that city. So every attention is with lagos and most of the southern states

    Gurasa is an Arabian bread made from wheat flour. It's baked in a local clay oven and dried up. It can spend months with spoilt or having moulds. All u need to sprinkle water to make it soft them add ingredients to eat

    Just imagine the Amount of Danfo Different types in Lagos and compare it to the types of tricycle in Kano and still there's bus services like BRT commuting 100s of thousands of people daily in Lagos
    If you ever want to travel from Ikorodu to Aja you have to move way ahead of time if not you're going to miss your appointment 100%
    I can believe 100% that Kano is super populated but more than Lagos? unless you haven't had to Live in Lagos as a normal person living day to day life in Lagos

      The reason why you see Lagos as over populated is because Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria in terms of Landmass so the state is so small that you can put over 10 of Lagos in Kano

      @wowneche, Lagos is congested because it has a small landmass. That makes it easy for people to feel the crowd. If it has a bigger landmass, it will be a different story.

    Lol. Everywhere is bigger than that place called Lagos. Look at the map of Akwaibom very well for example, and you’d find ibeno which at the southernmost of the map, exactly the same size as Lagos.

      In Nigeria, More than 70% of grains, vegetables, legumes , fruits are grown in northern Nigeria and then distributed to other regions.
      The North is not dry, you can read and learn more by reading the about Nigerian geography.

      There are no census to justified the population. however, Kano is presumed to be more populous than any of theses cities.

      The fact is this accept it or discard it.Ibadan is the largest city but Lagos is the most populous.Kano is it the most populous!.It is the device of Northern People just to have everything to their side.Ibadan is bigger than Kano and more populous .But Lagos is the Most populous.

      Simple reason......imagine a man in the south who marries one wife and staying in a Two bedroom flat with four kids...Now compare that with a Man in the North who marries 3 wife’s and staying in a 5 bedroom flat with 15 children....Then compare a vast mass of land with a small geographical rain forest land logged with water

      That's because the North is larger by land mass and more diverse , taraba state alone has 40 languages basically tarabe can be divide into 20 different tribes or ethnic people groups. Also despite them having lot of states niger and borno state are individually larger than the entire south east ,south south region . Logically niger state should not even be one state its to big so the North should have actually had even more sates.

    Don't be deceived most of the houses in Kano are bungalows while most of the houses in Lagos are Storey buildings of 2 story buildings of four flats or 3 storey building of six flats or some have even close to 20 or 40 flats on just one or two or 3 plots. so how can you compare a mostly bungalow area that has few people to Lagos where you can hardly see bungalows, where most of the buildings are 2 story, 3 storeys, 4 storeys, 5 storey even upto 15 story or more storytelling 5ll buildings of four flags Six Flags 8 flats 10 or 20 or more flats flags and son

      Dude, the city is over 1,000 years old! Replanning it without displacing millions of people would be a massively expensive, if not impossible undertaking.

    The jury is still out on the population issues based on Government manipulation from the earliest census conducted which continued to the most recent one but i still think Lagos is still the commercial hub center of the country. The IGR generated is one of the proof.

      That is not in question. Not even close. Lagos State accounts for over 50% of economic activity in Nigeria so I have no idea where he's getting his info from. The title is click bait I'm guessing.
