To be fair Lee there are no grass or changing room or arm sponsorship charges , the PL in their incompetence released the wrong charge numbers originally. I've always said we'd NEVER win anything with this manager. I will always blame the board...ultimately. They should have either given Emery the same financial backing and time, that this weirdo has had, or at least hired an actual manager with experience and given him time. Now we're reliant on a novice learning on the job to get us success. Without trophies, there is no success. You don't get trophies for finishing second and ignoring the cups. But season tickets will continue to rise and the fans will stay divided.

It’s actually because some of the documentation was with UEF, because they were investigating City at the same time for some of this period. You can’t, by definition, send the original docs with actual signatures etc to two people at the same time. Also some of the docs relate to charges that Etihad did not, in fact, pay the sponsorship funds. However, those charges would require Etihad’s docs as evidence, not City’s and they are a separate, private company that is under no obligation to pass on their financial docs to some tinpot football organisation. One of the reasons that the case has been put back is that Etihad are planning an IPO then, at which point private docs would be made public ahead of the stock exchange listing and share sale.

Basically a lot of it is their owners pumping money into the club through shell companies or sponsors tied to the owners. Idk how serious it is but it seems likely they did something wrong. They’re also deliberately being obtuse and not complying with the prem investigation. It doesn’t look great tbf.
