We've all seen City smash teams after New Year, so either get a very good lead (like last season and hope you don't bottle it again) or be flawless in the business end of the season. Arsenal can keep their head up because of the progress but if u dont end up winning anything, it's time to look inside the club and ask some serious questions, unless you're happy with just "pushing and putting pressure" on others.
How do you know that we wouldn't have dropped points in another game had we beaten Villa? Be realistic. Winning 17 of the last 18 games with only 1 draw is something that not even City has ever done. The poor run in December is what cost us.

The December form let the season down but that's on Arteta for being naïve with his lineup especially against Fulham and West Ham before. Imagine beating everyone in the top 6 but not being able to beat the "fodder" outside the top 6. City don't mind dropping points cuz they know they can go on a streak. Their last loss was 4-0 against Villa along with a draw against Pool. Arsenal have no one to blame but themselves and as a neutral, watching them bottle top 4 2 seasons ago to bottling the league last season to this, I see a lot of progress but I just can't imagine them winning anything major as long as Arteta lives under Pep's shadow. I totally agree with Lee. If VAR was to be used ONLY for factual intances for decisions, VAR would be very useful. For example, think of a mistaken identity where the wrong player is sent off when we can all see who should be sent off. Or if every stadium has cameras that properly check if the ball has gone out of the pitch before a player crosses the ball. If you use VAR for these factual intances and leave subjective decisions like fouls to referees, I dont see how VAR in football would make it worse to have than if we dont use VAR.
what julian is not understanding is that they have the ability to rewatch it and get what he calls an “informed opinion” yet they still get a lot of decisions wrong

When you win the league 3 years on the bounce(maybe 4), you tend to have something called faith in yourself and your team. In my opinion, Arsenal put up more of a fight this season than last season. Since 2004, I've honestly never felt that Arsenal were gonna lift the trophy and this year was the closest they'd come. Last year was a complete bottlejob and I can tell you that I saw it coming because it is in the history of Arsenal.
