      @@Aragedie Sorry to be pedantic but I think he's just a dog. He has simply associated usually-crunchy things with certain smells to an impressive degree, similar to how one can tell the difference between warm food and cold food by smell. If it was synaesthesia it would be wrong, like it "smells like sand feels" or "like a cool, perfectly cylindrical column of glass". For my part, I have day-colour synaesthesia, which is the most common; and very mild music-colour, in that I can't see visions of the music in front of me but have involuntary and consistent forms and colours appear in my mind's eye, non-localised.

      Eugene Magnaye that’s a suuuuuuper common way to do black beans. It’s Mexican food, everything is pretty simple. The carne asada and pico were both super basic recipes too. The hard part here was that queso, and I’m impressed he got as close as he did.

      What's worse, in the queso the richness of the cheese is going to obscure the heavy cream.
      Since everything steams/bleeds into each other in the tin, Chris would have a harder time telling that the queso has jalepeno picking juice in it.
      And he had to figure it out over the smell of the formeldehyde of the bandana.

      Tbf that's kinda hard with the nature of nachos. Like he tasted everything that was in the queso and put it in other places (ex. pico and cayenne/chile). With nachos it's hard to tell if it was actually in the cheese or if it was just covered in it because nachos.

      @@thatoneguy24530 It was really weird - that Chris didn't allow himself to think skirt steak fit at all, that it broke rules. Go to a Tex-Mex place and you are far more likely to find skirt steak or some form of Carne Asada than you would pork belly.
