Awesome. I love burnt biscuits and burnt toast. I have sent back many a toast in a restaurant cause they didn't toast it dark enough. Lol. You made me hungry.

Thanks for the video. During camping I use the one pan way too. I 1st read about it in a old Western book. I been doing it ever since. I cook my bacon 1st. Then my biscuits or white bread then finally my eggs over easy. The pan makes qwick fried toast and the heat makes sure the eggs are done about the same time the bacon is cooled enough to eat and not scorch your mouth. All in one easy to carry pan. I found a high sided Black Iron Skillet that the lid of a Dutch oven will fit. So I can also bake the biscuits or make a small batch stew in. Just making sure the coals are the right temp as to not burn or boil such a small amount of liquid away. Its never gonna replace the size and amount of food that can be cooked in a Dutch oven. But in a one man outfit and in keeping with the Bug Out bag mind set. One can eat good while still maintaining a level of mobility. Moral is a ever important to making it out there. Water shelter and food are everything. A good tasting meal next to a warm fire. Let's your mind and body relax. Ideas and or things forgot in the heat of cold days labor come to one easier. That good ol biscuit with a deer back strap filet Just might make where you are at that moment feel just about like home. Thanks Again for your time and information in all these videos Brother 👍👍👍

I can think of only one thing better than those biscuits , those biscuits with a pork sausage patty !!WOW!!

  • @caseysr.sectionhiker8372

Biscuits fixed anyway are damned good fare in the outdoors anytime. I've made the Boy Scouts' version by wrapping that biscuit dough around a 'green' debarked stick over an open fire, but mixing those store-bought biscuits with my sourdough batter & baking them in a Dutch Oven are my favorites. Those I call 'skyscraper biscuits' but that's just for car camping.

This has been a revelation, in the UK I think that would be a close equivalent to a scone. But we don't eat them with a main meal, more of a desert or accompaniment to a hot beverage, usually eaten with butter, jam (what you call jelly) or cream.
