Much like Man City's financial records ... It's full of holes.

From "we haven't broken any rules" to "the rules are crooked", deary me, the state of mental gymnastics this lot has to do
City fan said it himself. “FFP to stop clubs spending money they don’t have”. They didn’t have it.
To this day the Cheese still asks..."Why always Me?!?!"
It’s not a company if you’re pumping more money in than you’re ever going to get back it’s not possible for other clubs to compete unless they have other owners who want too throw their money away aswell and even if a few clubs find owners like this to compete with city the rest of the league will suffer, what city are doing is detrimental to the premier league.
So if you have money and you buy a small struggling team in the league, how will uplift the economical status of this team if you can't pump in some money? At least what Simon said makes sense because you're given a period you can pump money to buy good players so that you can compete with the big boys.
You know City are profitable right?

Man City is most definitely guilty. They were investigated by 2 different organizations over the same charges. Besides, it simply makes no sense to build a case on 155 fake charges, nobody just invents cases to that degree. It takes a lot of resources to build a case that size with no basis behind it. 3-4 allegiations are one thing but 155 over a decade is something entirely different.
Because those other four teams didn't cheat, they took 30+ years building to what they won and achieved. Man City exceeded the revenue of Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in under a decade? Pull the other leg caller you're team cheated deal with the consequences when they arise.
Lmao. FFP wasn't brought in to stop clubs going bust. That might have been UEFA's narrative but we all know it was to stop City, PSG and Chelsea spending
And chelsea just spend 600 mil no body cares

See this can’t happen in a Country like 👍 Germany 🇩🇪 Less Corruption and More Fairness despite Bayern won their Bundesliga 10 Years in a Row❕
Partially - but when Neymar went to PSG for 200 mil it basically fucked up the entire football economy. 99% of clubs can't compete with that not just the other big clubs and the trickle down effect of that is highly damaging to the whole football structure. If you're happy with european football turning into pretty much Qatar vs Dubai then everything else below that then fine. City should be able to spend a lot of money but they should still be able to balance the books.
Leicester have won the league Tottenham have challenged , Liverpool ( who are huge , but was in the wilderness for 30 years ) built a team by selling Sterling & Coutinho and buying great replacements ) it can be done. Man City just couldn’t be bothered , so they rung an Arab and took the easy route

Sound more like a 40yearoldvirgin. The club were bought through banking oil is only around a fifth of the owners wealth.
@@ramps2402 I don't think he is on the first part of that comment and it's equally as ridiculous as the second half. Etihad and Etisalat are shell companies? The CAS report didn't reveal City's UAE deals(which btw don't even account for half in total of the commercial revenue) were within the Fair Market Value range of the club as far back as the 2012/13 season? That isn't even the accusation being made. The UK press in particular either don't understand it themselves or this is all a very deliberate campaign on their part(possibly paid for) to create as much noise and reputational damage as possible. Half the people moaning about City don't know the difference between private ownership and state ownership. Or Abu Dhabi/The UAE vs Qatar(different countries completely and they aren't allies) or Saudi(a much bigger, more powerful country, with a much worse reputation than the former two mentioned... Who United have happily taken millions from for years).
@@Metali-tin City accepted a fine for €60million which was reduced by €40m for "good behaviour" back in 2014. How is that not an admission of guilt?
Even if your statement of it not being half were true (it's not), UEFA specified their concerns with the £350million value of the Etihad sponsorship and deals that raised £47m from image rights and intellectual property in 2012-13. That's huge in revenue terms.
The obvious smear campaign from the British Media outlets you refer to... the "leaked" emails that have them bang to rights were from a German outlet, feller. 😂

If the goal of ffp is truly to encourage teams to be financially stable and not just a rule begged for by the old guard to stop city, city’s model would be praised for its ability to generate a profit in under a decade, how much debt and initial investment is literally meaningless if it’s a profitable venture now, if you can’t see this you have an agenda or bias
Man City would be nowhere without that huge influx of cash they received back in 2000 .
Tony moved the goalposts a few times 😂😂😂

So if clubs end up with owners who spew 50 million quid away and run away, then, the said owner ends up on a radio station yelling out how people should run a football club that is the bit i dont understand.😂😂😂
FFP since 92 equals 21 United league titles out of 30. Therefore, rather than complaining about Blackburn's Chelsea's Leicester's City's owners, you should be grateful to them for making the Premier League the most competitive league in Europe.a
Love how he mentions the time barred evidence yet doesn’t say anything on the evidence that was investigated and was cleared at CAS. The etihad deal which everyone thought for years was dodgy was cleared. If the Etihad deal was cleared, why isn’t it possible that the etisalat deal wouldn’t have been cleared? Time barred evidence was City’s fault like Simon says it was, the evidence just couldn’t be investigated. That doesn’t mean we were guilty, we would have just defended it like we did with the Etihad deal.
Man said that Brand of Football cost Money finally a City fan comes out the closet on their spending 😂😂😂😂
SJ just lightly brushed him away.!
He's a hypocrite
Simon = top LAD proper clobber
Leicester City have agreed to pay the Football League £3.1m to settle the league’s long-running claim that the club breached financial fair play rules when they made a £21m loss in their 2013-14 season....
Everton and man city still being investigated
FFP may have started as a way of dealing with dodgy owners and clubs going bust, but like so many things, when the established powers that be got their claws into it, it was turned into something quite different. Simon says that debt is irrelevant, but it isn't. Yes bigger businesses can take on bigger debt without it being a problem, but it's telling that early drafts of FFP made references to debt, but it was swiftly taken out and the only thing that ended up being focused on was aspects that involved investing in playing staff (i.e. the one thing that would be a threat to existing big clubs). It's no secret that big companies seek to influence regulation in their favour, and will often be in favour of regulation if they think it will hurt their rivals. Excessive debt is what destroys clubs. It would be entirely possible to allow owners to invest in clubs while not risking the clubs simply by saying that any investment above a certain FFP limit has to be a gift. But protecting clubs from going bust has been an afterthought for a long time.
which is exactly how city is setup the club has no debt the money was gifted to them , it was part of the agreement when the sheik took over the club for next to no money, he was looking at everton but their directors wanted too much cash
Pep will have a completely different tone if City's trophy cabinet is proven to be the result of unethical financial practices. And although City have not breached the regulations since 2018, it is an easy argument to say that had they not done what they did from 2008-2018 they would not have been able to generate the income to have complied in more recent years. I have no idea what the penalty should be - demotion won't work because they'll be back up within 1 season, exclusion of the City ownership might lead to them setting up their own Super League - would the EPL risk that?
The Melbourne Storm breached NRL salary cap rules here in Australia and while everyone remembers the great football they played and games they won - their premierships were taken away. Note - the titles did not go to the runners-up.
Another episode of Simon schooling callers
So many clueless football supporters, its laughable.
Simon hasn't the first clue , he's wrong about the original fine for starters 😂. It was a fine because we wouldn't show a bent organisation in uefa . We waited to show cas who's not got any agenda against us . That's is why we got a fine . Just like we don't have 115 charges it's 5 !!

FFP is a mess and Fifa, Uefa and all the leagues dont apply it properly . Its there for a reason so clubs like Everton and many others including City dont end up insolvent. If clubs with state ownership do as they please thren whats the use of competition. So you spend what you earn and balance books . One can understand City fans frustration as their on field achievements are great .

@@lefthandlee I guess that comment must be an attempt at sarcasm because you can't be serious with such a ridiculous statement.
Simons explanation of why FFP was brought in is utter rubbish. It was brought in to keep the core four teams at the top of the league, simple as that
There was absolutely no chance of city overtaking United organically without a takeover, anyone who thinks that is absolutely deluded. Nobody complained when united won 8 in 12 years, but now city are doing it, its ruining football
At the end of the day, any club who gets a takeover should be able to spend what they want, all this spend what you earn is absolutely rubbish
I've supported city since 1994. I've seen some absolute dross and of course I enjoy what I see now. But at the end of the day, these rules are in place and if we've broken them and get found guilty, we have to face the consequences

Yeah, and man City will get the cheque book out and say how much to the Premier league to keep quiet, and it will swept under the carpet it's too late to take action as they've already winning the competitions it will take year's for it all to come out we might as let them keep doing it.
Agree
Yeah, that sounds like a great plan, let the criminals off scott free, and allow them to keep breaking the law, because...reasons
Yeah but they won't get punished that's the problem 🙄
Jim used the phrase ‘of that there is no doubt’ too much of that there is no doubt.
Simon got this one twisted - FFP was SOLD as a way to keep clubs from bankruptcy - but is WAS sheer protectionism to prevent rapid growth from new money. Debt is not an issue for clubs - Glazers still turn a profit with debt - if the rules wanted to address insolvency they could have simply implemented a conservative debt to equity ratio or debt to revenue ratio instesad of limiting a clubs spending, but that was not the real aim.
what is wrong with protecting european football from corrupt money, and having regulations for clubs not spending more then they earn
For Simon's proposal of being able to pump money into the club for the first few years, would that create a system where clubs will become investment funds owning many assets that can then drip feed into their revenue over a longer period?
I don't see anything wrong with that though as it's still a level playing field, however maybe not fair on current owners, why not just a system where every 4 years owners are allowed to invest an extra amount into their club which is capped based on the tier that the team is in, so for example, every 4 years Championship team owners would be allowed to invest an extra 50 million of their own money if they want to, and Premier league owners say 120 million
@@ryan1111111555555555 That wouldn’t be a bad idea although I don’t really see it happening

@@bertiew6771 it’s called the cheat code blueprint. Sadly that’s where success has gone
Well done Simon!! Not the brightest caller to be fair!!
Regardless of the intention of FFP it will simply cement the spending capability of clubs and amplify the Real Madrid effect in football.
Owners should just be made to pay up front the cost of the players they buy and the cost of there entire remaining player contract to the club. That way if they sell the club the club has the finances to honour the contracts they have regardless.
Have to give it to him, Simon is a G.
Bury are the only club to go insolvent in the last 50 years, argument dead .
FFP was originally about making sure clubs didn't go to the wall like Leeds over 20 years ago when they spent money chasing champions league football and Portsmouth who spend money they didn't have when they won the FA cup.
Simon is bringing the political influence that he hasn’t proven to the equation into the discussion while the discussion should be pure financial. And that’s the reason he’s bitter against City.
The problem is he doesn’t say the same when an American guy is doing the exact same thing with Chelsea!
The other problem is that what’s wrong with someone who owns a company to pump money into it to make it successful until it’s sustainable.
Look at United and the debts that they have to pay, and no one mentions them.
I’m not a financial person to say City are abiding by the rules or not. But I see people are attacking them for other reasons.
I’m an Arsenal fan who hates City as a club.
Do you even watch/listen on a regular basis? The fact that no one is taking about the debt of Man Utd, is that it is irrelevant, Man Utd are able to meet the requirements of paying for their debt, and buying the players they want, because they have a substantial commercial revenue, which has been built up over decades. City can outspend anyone they wish to, because they fudged their books, and injected cash into the club through dodgy commercial sponsorship deals.
You, being an Arsenal fan, should fully understand about debt, your club built it's new stadium with debt, and the repayments on all that debt meant that Arsenal could not buy whoever they wanted to, as in previous years, so you did not compete at the top of the league and is also why you failed to win it this season, because your squad did not have the strength in depth that it needed.
History will judge this manc city era
The way the call ended was incredible

This could be anyone , it might even be Tottenham in a few years , we are a very attractive club. I personal don’t want these people , I can understand why you do. I still remember the real City
Reading the comments most people don't really know why City are being investigated, FFP says you can only spend what you earn as a club, so how then in the early days did City manage to buy players like Aguero and Silva? there's even a story that Robinho thought he was signing for United at first because he didn't even know there was another team in Manchester, no one had heard of them and they weren't playing in any major competitions yet, Yes NOW they're a commercial success, now they're getting Champions League Money, Premier League winners money etc, they're a profitable club NOW but it's a bit crazy how this club came out of nowhere, it's very obvious they were fudging the books and doing things like only declaring 60% of the transfer fee whilst the other 40% was paid through offshore accounts, kids and plastics wont care about any of that though
U can't make rules now and then charge someone under those rules for past crimes they may or may not have committed. What the EPL us doing is going to set worrying precedent because other clubs will be charged under this rule also. Because it feels more like we can't beat you on the field, so we will destroy you off it. This is the reason why uefa started to create all these new rules, so as to protect the big clubs and their interests as they don't want new challengers
@@Cyrus-rodn45 FFP was made all the way back in 2009 so City was doing this when this rule was already in place, that's why they're being investigated because they broke the rules

Simon saying so rubbish here and yet you can’t see it what a fool you must be
how would we know. its not like the caller is allowed to present his case
@@hotdog9262 the caller revealed his limited understanding with just a few words, ya silly sausage!
@@Synysterjmz 0:37 -1:25 if you read the regulation this little speech have little to do with why ffp was created. and he used that to shut the caller up
In my opinion ffp was brought in to keep fifa champions league semi finals and finals globally sellable , profiteering plain and simple
Simon is partly right, cuz for me we as city fans keep moving the goal post its not about who's in debt or more profitable if the rules were there n we broke thats it, but there is an agenda against city no one can tell me otherwise. Weather its the media or all these fan channels.
I could be wide of the mark here. But my own gut feeling is that various people and platforms in the media are privvy to confidential and NDA-barred information that proves that City broke some rules. And with the club seeming to be pushing things down the road, those people are intent on keeping the story in the news.
Or alternatively, they dont have proof, but are deeply convinced that the allegations have credence. So same end result.
There's an "agenda" against City because you cheated. Nobody likes cheats.
Poor Simon Jordan.
At what point is someone going to tell him everyone at talksport is laughing at him?
SIMON is spot on
Realistically it’s pointless even charging City. There’s no fine they can’t pay and if you relegate them to the championship they’re not going to need parachute payments and will likely bounce straight back up and be competing at the top again within 3 years. The horse has bolted. Could’ve stopped them 10 years ago but it’s pointless now.
Premier league bosses are so weak ,city have clearly broken the rules and continue to laugh in their faces just like psg do ,give Newcastle their due they aren’t doing the same yet and hopefully won’t in the future
Richard Masters felt sick, giving Man City the title
What are the negatives of city owner investing into his club?
For City? None! For all the other clubs who abided by the rules...many.
How did Leicester win the Premier league then?
Everyone knows the reason, the club who were expected to win it, City, were having a stinker of a season because they were in the process of rebuilding.
They broke FFP Leicester was one other reasons FFP came in to football
Leicester City have agreed to pay the Football League £3.1m to settle the league’s long-running claim that the club breached financial fair play rules when they made a £21m loss in their 2013-14 season
No debt is the way
The fact is that teams like man city and to a slightly lesser extent chelsea will never have the real respect from people is because of the way they have become successful, the same way someone who wins the lottery won't get the same respect as someone who has earned his wealth through earing it.
why on earth would you take on Simon Jordan about these things.
If you’re going to come at the king, come correct
This man with the glasses is a truly Man City hater .
Simon can be a idiot sometimes... "what has debt got to do with it" he says but just before that he says FFP was brought in to stop clubs overspending and being liquidated!!!!! Well I think to be liquidated you have to be in "DEBT" up to your eyeballs!!!!...make your mind up Simon, is debt relevant or not??? 🤔
He's just talking for the sake of talking
Well u said he was an idiot “sometimes” when it’s more like 👍 “always” He just hates Middle Easterns more than UK hated EU n did Brexit‼️🙄
To be fair he did then explain debt against assets with the mortgage example.
Absolute waffler and these deluded fanboys in the chat its a joke at this point and only people from the outside see it 😂😂😂😂
@@Samivermusic.. Yes he did but he also said what's it got to do with debt?..... The whole point, according to uefa , for FFP is to prevent clubs overspending and going out of business!!!
