I'm having more electrical issues with them then mechanical. There have been videos where people get rid of the controller and go aftermarket. I don't know if I'm dedicated enough to do all that.
Perfect mix for me is 50 percent diesel, 40 percent VERY well filtered waste oil/veggie oil, 10 percent petrol. Two tans manifolded together, pure diesel for startup and 10 minute minimum high temp shutdown, mix for running.. i have best luck with fuel and intake air at heated rooms temperature and a only straight down or downward slopping exhaust with a fan removing some otherwise lost heat
I always mix it with diesel in mine i haven't had problems yet i put old french fry oil in it too ill usually go around one gallon of oil in 4 gallons of diesel
It seems as though you're saying that this is straight waste motor oil. is it really straight oil or are you mixing it with something? If so what's the percentage's? Do you only run it at the full tilt setting, or do you allow it to go up and down to maintain temperature?
See everyone trying to do these , it does not work !!! Why do people keep trying , I just use diesel ,old diesel that you have in old tractors ,trucks , pickups . Can get free from people . Just filter it.

Filtering is extremely important. I think that's where some fail.

Typically, my mix was 80% oil 20% gas. I run at full throttle.
