I agree with the fact that its not the champ that is the problem but when a 0/5 trundle is way more dangerous than a 5/0 sett with 2 items then i believe a small champ diff exists i lost a game where i outplayed and destroyed a trundle but he still destroyed turrets with ease when i joined fight with my team and he deleted my team meanwhile i couldn't rly do anything about it
If you think about it in a diffrent way, you did not lose because of trundle, your team lost because of the lack of macro and map awareness. Also a 5-0 sett is x10 effective in team fights than a 0-5 trundle
As you have a peeling ability, your E stun, your ultimate deals huge damage in teamfights and your W
Against a trundle you should not go anywhere as a team unless you kill him or hard push waves so he takes long time to push& have time for you and your team to recall to def & kill him , all what i say is, it is always an int to 1v1 a trundle in late game because of his ultimate and strengths but he is not a 1v2 champ unless the teammates int it

Its diffrent scenario, diffrent players, diffrent sums. but mainly i wouldnt flip it agaisnt a fed trundle even if im ahead, instead ill push out waves and make him useless

Second, I'm almost strictly a caster/ranged Gold player, and I recently picked up Sett cause I just love his badass attitude and looks. But his style of play is sooo opposite to what I'm used to play, that I get intimidated and fumble because getting in there and smacking ppl is quite different to staying in the back safely and just burst them from afar. Trusting your fists over your magic/ranged weapons requires a different mentality! I'm very happy that you touched on that subject, and all your pointers help a ton. I certainly need practice, but now I feel more ready to face the lane and team fights.

Playing melees, specially the boss like sett, has a completely diffrent vibe to it, its waaaay more satisfying than all other champs in terms of playstyle & gameplay, being agressive , over-powering your enemies by punching them, taking risks and survivng off 1 Hp by punching them and knocking their teeth out, and suplexing a gigantic voidborn monster into his team killing all of them in a blink of an eye

Thank you for this! I watched a lot of guides for Sett, but not one of them proived that much structure and details. I only started 4 months ago and I cannot execute what you describe, but I can learn them step by step and then combine them.

I was actually trying to find a guide for season 14. I'm a returning player that used to play Support/ADC but these roles in soloq low elo are almost unbearable. I decided to try top lane and chose Sett as my go to since I've never played him and I mean... He looks badass. I found that he is rather simple to learn as he is more beginner friendly than all the "meta" champs mentionned out there, but I could never find actual guides for season 14. That helped me alot understand the champs more. Thank you!
I also want to edit: it was so nice of you to add actual examples from you games after each tips. Helps alot to understand more for exemple the combos and such

Thank you for the feedback Boss! , i dont take unflinching anylonger since it doesnt give tenacity instead i opt for revaitalize or overgrowth, and small rune always tenacity

Its a setting you have to put, look for a setting video and It will probably show this
really great video. I wish you had talked a little about starter items as i find myself lost on when to choose D.Blade and D.Shield.

@@Geishuu if I can add on to this with a similar point. Can you include your thoughts on which minor items to Buy first on you way towards completing a legendary item? For example: if i'm building a stridebrealer, when might it be best for me to do Tiamat first and when should I do phage? Does it change if the opposing champ is ranged/melee or if my JG is gank/objective focused or maybe if my team is ahead/behind? Should I get boots before during or after?
@@stygiangs that is a really good question, and a unique one , stygians!
i always prefer to build Phage as first item to give me that extra health , and move speed while autoing , usually i start with ruby crystal long sword and dagger to get all the good stuff( AD, HP & attackspeed)
i only rush tiamat if its against a ranged toplaner that i cannot ever catch or a heavy lane bully that just keeps pushing and zoning u under ur tower ( jayce)
where u have to shove minions from under ur turret all time.

Unflinching against heavy slow or cc champ that will perma active it like darius, renekton , trundle

What is your opinion on the upcoming stridebreaker change? How does it change the core item build? Stide -> Sundered Sky -> Sterak/Trinity/Cleaver instead? -> death dance/Rookern. I assume the movespeed from Stride is too valuable to ever use it instead of hydra. But what if stride gives no Autoreset, whats your plan then?
Auto reset isnt a disaster, we played last season without it before . We can play it this season as well
Stride now gives insane wave clear and splitting potential so reset dont matter
As a matter of fact its really good, as we can replace hydra now with another Ah item like cleaver! Or trinity! Even hull breaker now or sterak
So its perfect update because hydra is getting nerfed anyway
You can't play Stridebreaker and Titanic Hydra together anymore, what do you suggest the build is now?
black cleaver isn't a half bad substitute, a little more dmg a bit less health but some ability haste and bonus movement spend
Any new advice regarding runes with the recent stat shard changes and unflinching changes.
Yes. revaitalize is great and overgrowth too
If sundered sky game fo revaitalize
If cleaver go overgrowth
And take small tenacity rune always
@Geish is it "wise" to stack tiamat from both Stride and Titanic, i mean the active component from them. how do they ( the "press" ability) interact in terms of cooldown and with Setts AA`s!?
apparently you CAN NOT have double tiamat items, as suspected.
Hi Bro I really like Botrk since I think its best dueling and aa item for Sett, instead stridebreaker maybe both, what do you think?
It depends on enemy champion if its high hp that scales and dont do alot of dmg early like vlad then its ok
But against a jax for example you wont be able to land autos and he will just 100-0 you in one trade due to lack of Hp

With Stridebreaker now being considered a titanic item, do you still suggest Stridebreaker over Titanic since you can no longer take both? What are your thoughts considering that change.
always stride breaker over titanic , since it gives waveclear then its perfect now, we can replace hydra with anything else
are you using the new move speed rune that they added in the latest patch?
Movespeed rune is for supports or adcs in my opinon as 2% is a clickbait and does not make sense to take over adaptive
Check out black cleaver, titanic, hull breaker, steraks, and spear of shojin. It’s a high cost build but you get 2.6k true damage,speed boost, cdr, health, massive auto damage, and the steraks shield will guarantee give ya time to get your W off in teamfights most the time I just get hullbreaker finished before the victory screen 😊
Just if ya try it I’d appreciate if you left it outta videos been having a lot of success and I don’t want it nerfed xD
in the items ive been building ruined king and black cleaver, is it very bad or always stick w the ones you mentioned
It can work vs sion,morde and chogath, depends in elo aswell . Anything can work below diamond if you use it wisely, my build is just based on my experience and what works 80% of the games 👌

Hello, former GM and rank 1 sett world (according to lolalytics, ofc Adam is a way better player than i am, or Myw reaching GM with sett this season whatabeast) ! I have a very different playstyle and rune choices depending on matchups but thats what fun. I love your message at the end, just do your best and have fun, it needs to stay something healthy ; if it's not, take a break, you'll play better and be happier afterwards, its the journey that matters, and the journey never stops lads !

Question! About never using sett W at the start of a trade.
I have seen XCM doing an interesting trade lv1 against jax.
He basically starts autoing him LV1 and most jax insta-E, he then just uses W and walks away with a free trade. Have you ever tried it?
Dont do it. It is super bad, a good jax will e at the start of autoing, stun u and run away beforr u E him back

And for the trade pattern i will say jt here : simply stun him before he stums u by trading inside minions 👌

why deaths dance ? doesnt it fucks the grit ? by reducing burst of damage?
Nope it doesnt really affect grit that much, plus the heal reset and ignore pain are stupidly broken with the shield u get aswell u take no damage and saves u from getting bursted ( yasuo R combo for example)

Side step his hook
Save your w when he fall from skarl pre 6
Save your R til he fall from skar after 6
And take ignite second wind, dont take bad trades

what do you currently ban? what do you think about xiao chao mengs playstyle, how can he destroy aatrox players so effortlessly, whats your take on that. I can watch the replays 100 times but i dont get the reasoning or quintessences out of it.
I dont mean to undermine XCM , but his aatrox enemies are really bad compared to the ones i played against( including challenger and pro players) it is really a diffrent champ in the hands of a good player
, i ban jayce most of the time as he is really broken champ in the hands of a good player and impossible to outscale or kill him easy if he has phase rush
Aatrox is a heavy skill oriented matchup where every step and right click move matter
That requires u to be effiecent ad possible and abuse the max range E
@@Geishuu yeah thank you for the explanation of the E max, i coudldnt figure it out for the hell of it. I even went into practice mode and tried figuring it out only to miss even regular E range enemies :D Now with your explanation i clapped a gp hard.ggz. ty for the video
I’m surprised you recommend Lethal Tempo into champs like Quinn and Teemo. I typically prefer conq into them because I find it hard to stack lethal so I feel I don’t get the benefit of it unless they mess up. With conq you might not get the healing benefit but the bonus AD will always be useful.
WE take lethal tempo vs quin and teemo and ghost because we run them down with autos and land 7 or even more extra autos than conqurer in the duration of ghost
Its all about positioning and knowing the right time to strike
U cant stack ad on conqurer because they usually run away or cc u before u could land more than 4 autos

@@Geishuu Idk, I typically only feel lethal is better into enemies who use lethal themselves and will be autoing you a lot, so if you take lethal it guarantees you still can duel them like Yone, Yasuo, Irelia champs. Quinn will usually take lethal but I feel if you’re able to cancel her e with your e or r you’ll win regardless of rune and conqueror is always better late game unless you’re splitting all game into another melee sidelaner. And Teemo will usually blind you so it’s best to use your other abilities during that time which will also stack conqueror so I never have an issue stacking it if I can get on him.
Im only saying it from my own experience boss, if you find that certain stuff work as well for you then thats actually great! Im only trying to help by sharing what works out best for me in diffrent situations

I just wanted to see your reasoning behind things as I was D3 last season only playing Sett and was trying to see why you felt what was better for each situation and I wanted to see your thoughts on my perspective so I could incorporate it into my own gameplay, cheers mate!

Thus we take LT
melee tank/ninja tabis build first item champ
More auto= same reduced dmg, LT bad
More auto= higher dmg more dmg for.w and healing = conqueror great!

Imo Sett vs Darius is Darius favored if the Darius kites/spaces well and saves his E to chain into R so Sett can't W
Its kinda a skill matchup in terms of distancing, a good darius uses his E before r that is correct, but a better sett will use R the moment darius presses E to cancel it 💪🏻
@@Geishuu I can see that, guess I just haven't faced a really good Sett as Darius yet. Also you've listed Trundle as an easy matchup even tho stats say it's heavily Trundle favored. Does Sett win the all-in with lethal tempo, ignite?

If a 100% hp sett goes against 100% hp trundle
Trundle wins
But after few trades.. a 50% hp sett vs 50% hp trundle ( pre 6 laning stage)

Darius wont hit more than 1 Q per fight since sett can dodge it with both E and R, darius loses earlygame allin aswell, it's not good lane for darius.
