- 本文にもあったが、2022年の後半、これだけアディダスのシューズに
夢中になっていたにも関わらず、一番のアイコンモデルである
スタンスミスが出てこないことに不思議に思った方もいるかも知れない。
理由は簡単で「人気モデル過ぎる！」ということ。
敢えて、ここで紹介しなくても世界中で愛されているスニーカーで
賛否両論あるだろうが、フェイクレザーだからと言って敬遠する人の方が
少ないはずなのだが、せっかくならと思うのが靴好きの想い。
「こんなの出たんですよ。」と軽く紹介されたこの復刻モデルは
80年代のフォルムを残し、私が若い頃に見ていたスタンスミスに近く
アッパーは上質なレザーを使ったもの。
価格も考えれば、普通の人は選ばない可能性もあるが、
皆が履いているからこそ、この復刻モデルを選ばないという選択は無かったと
いうほどの美しい一足だと言える。

Despite all of this infatuation with Adidas shoes, some may have
wondered why the most iconic model, the Stan Smith, did not appear.
The reason is very simple: "Too popular!
Even if I don't dare to introduce it here, it is a sneaker that is loved all over the world.
I'm sure there are many people who would not be put off by the fact that
these sneakers are made of fake leather.
This reissue model was lightly introduced to me.
The form of the 80's is retained, and it is close to the Stan Smiths
that I saw when I was young. The upper is made of great quality leather.
Considering the price, there is a possibility that most people wouldn't choose
I can say that there was no choice not to choose
this reissue model because everyone is wearing them.
I can say that it is such a beautiful pair of shoes.

80年代から90年代、学生時代はスタン・スミス、スーパースター、カントリーをローテーションして履いていました。やっぱり昔のレザーがいいですね。懐かしいです！

I had a pair of the country with green stripe in the 70's and loved how they wore like iron.
Note: The leather from the 70's was MUCH different, the vintage leather to my memore is EXACTLY like the current white leather found on the Samba classics.
If given the choice, Id prefer the performance leather of the Samba Classic in white with the country design. That said, these are beautifully crafted by the workers in Indonesia! Props fron the US!
Thank you for your comment. Vintage leather is very different from today's because of its high quality and manufacturing method. It will be interesting to see how the leather ones on the market now will change over the next 10 years or so, though.
Great review as always. I've just bought these today... first pair of Stans ever, I've honestly been against them and the Superstars until now for how mainstream they are and the shell toe, but they've been made in such quality versions and cool colourways that it's impossible not to like them. Box is great as well. Think I want to use cream laces in them (nylon ones are horrible lol). Only thing I'm a bit disappointed about is the stitching doesn't go all the way around the sole... hopefully it's just a faithful reproduction of how the original pair was and not a cheap decision. Also the Stan Smith Lux come with amazing leather but I preferred these because of the 80's silhouette... I love when they make the heel round like that... something they're not doing on the Campus 80's anymore. By the way, I'm planning to visit Japan... would be nice to meet and talk shoes!

The quality of the leather is different, but I like the silhouette of the 80s better, and surprisingly, I don't get tired after a long walk, which is great. There are many people wearing Stan Smiths, but 80s are hard to find, so I feel a little superior. Are you coming to Japan?
The 80's silhouettes look so much better, the Stan Smith 2 for instance isn't as refined. Yes I'm in love with Japan and I am planning a trip there!

Thank you for your comment. The level of difference is almost unnoticeable, but the box is not OG spec, and the leather is just a little bit different in shade!
Did you change the shoe lace? Those look like more thin.
Yes I did. I'm not a good of the nylon laces that come with the original.

Thanks for your comment. This is the same 7 holes. I believe your 80s is what is called a 2015 reissue masterpiece.
Do you think the leather quality on these and the Stan Smith Lux are similar?
Thank you for your comment. The quality of the leather is not much different from the Lux, but the type of leather is different. 80s looks stiffer, but it is actually very easy to wear, while the Lux is softer and you can tell from its appearance.

Thanks for your comment. This model is sold in the UK and Germany, so it is not Japan-only, but certainly not US... It seems that the Lux is not a narrow silhouette like this model, but it is a leather version.
This pair is actually releasing on friday 11/18 here in the U.S. on the Confirmed App.
Hello! Great video, I really enjoyed it! As for the size, what would you recommend? I personally wear a size US 10 (28 cm) in my normal Stan Smiths and have wide feet. Thank you!

Does it mean it is worth it? If so, then YES! Just note the size!

@@astenza Thanks for your comment. If you wear them normally, a half size up is fine, but if you want to wear them thinner with tighter laces, I would recommend a one size up (I did).

@@progressive7682 Per quanto riguarda gli anni '80s, ho aumentato di un'altra mezza misura le mie normali Stan Smith.
Stavo notando la differenza della punta, quelle attuali hanno la punta piatta e sono piuttosto scadenti come materiali, ne ho prese un paio penso del 2010, la linea mi sembra simile alle 80s, stessa punta, penso siano in pelle anche queste, la gomma è un po' sul giallino con una tonalità di verde leggermente diverso.
Ho un po' di spazio in punta, a te avanza un po' di spazio in punta o le porti precise?

I say 80s. Because of the shape, the ease of wear, and most importantly, the faithful reproduction of the vintage models.

And, if I use Stan Smith Primegreen (FX5501) in size 44, how about the size I should buy in LUX or 80s ?? Is there any problem if i pick the same size 44 ??

@@adiwirasaputra4887 It's just my opinion, but the 80s are by far more comfortable, and I think it's better to wear a half size up than the FX5501.

Cool, thanks. I have a pair of the lux's, but considering the 80s as the silhouette and toe box appear sleeker. Different sneakers altogether, but would you personally go for the Stan Smith 80s or the Puma Suede Classic xxi or Clydes?
@@wjlevien In terms of white shoes, it's the Stan Smith 80s. the PUMA CLYDE will probably only be released this year, which is good, but it's also on sale, so you might want to wait.
