She may not be the best role model for muslim. However Allah is the Most Merciful when it comes to judgement how He wills. If she dies today who knows maybe her intention is good enough for her Creator. We should never dismiss someone who has good intention & trying to repair his/her deen. May Allah help her.

I do understand her. If you grow up in a western country around people who aren't Muslim, it's harder to be a good Muslim when you get older. It requires more strength and dedication compared to if you already grew up in an Islamic environment.

I come from muslim majority country and when I went to Thailand to have a vacation, it felt really hard even to just find Halal food, mosques to pray 5 times a day etc. So it must be very hard to be a good muslim for those who grow up there. I'm also a half Palestinian, half dutch girl and I was brought up among Muslim Arabs. The culture is beautiful and the people around us were kind and warm, it's a huge difference to my cold Dutch relatives.

I don't think it does matter if you grow up in an Islamic environment or an unIslamic environment. Recently in a lecture, this is what Nouman Ali Khan taught us. He gave the example of Ibrahim AS, he was a 'One Man Ummah' himself. He grew up in an extreme shirk environment yet he was of the strongest believers of Allah so far. There are people I have seen, who's family are religious yet they are not. And we Muslims believe in 'Allah guides whomever he wills and misguides...."

I'd rather be by myself than people my should doesn't jive with and plus when we are surrounded by things that we don't agree with, we become used to it and then slowly start to adopt those thing. That's not only been my personal experience but both religious people say to keep noble company and so does modern psychology.

i love bella but im gonna be objective here. idk if the quote saying “i wasnt given that” is really from her but it it was, then she really needs to act on it and be upfront with what shes saying. she already lives in a comfortable life and she could introduce her culture by vlogging or collaborating with someone. there is a BIG difference between culture and muslim culture. i just hope she doesnt flaunt herself as a devout muslim bc her lifestyle isnt about that.
She lived in western countries her whole life and her mother is not a Muslim and as a kid how are you supposed to learn about a religion when you don’t live in that environment and your mother teaches you nothing about it but Bella was brave enough to say what she said and may allah guide her

Her mother, may Allah guide her. This is the reason why Muslims should never marry a non Muslim. They inevitably influence how their children will be raised in the long term. I felt really bad when she posted a picture of her struggling with depression. May Allah guide her to goodness.

When it says marry believing men and women please note, one can state they are muslim yet still be not living according to the teachings of the Quran. Our mannerisms and how we carry out our parental duties are many times neglected by muslims of today. So in that case a believer from the people of the book would be a better option. If muslims want to marry a muslims then be true to your faith, one is following the Quran the other is holding cultural values above that, it just doesn't work, so marriages these days end up in divorce. The purpose of marriage is lifetime commitment and instilling good behaviour in our children by providing them with a secure home and giving them love and care, it's unfortunate that these values are lost in today's society.

So what's stopping her now from living in a Muslim culture? She is more than able to go and afford a lifestyle in a predominently Muslim country. Wonder what is keeping her from doing that? And why not be more modest in her dress and wear the hijab? Seems a little shallow this whole report really.

I do understand her. If you grow up in a western country around people who aren't Muslim, it's harder to be a good Muslim when you get older. It requires more strength and dedication compared to if you already grew up in an Islamic environment.
