    I’m the 1st hand with JJ…. When the player jammed and there was a caller (only called) after that and prior to your closing action…. A big raise was in order to either make him fold getting it to heads up or make him pay even more to try to hit his flush. Either result is favorable for you. If he folds, you don’t don’t have to worry about him, hitting his flush, and you losing to his hand. If he calls, you have gotten value out of the side pot and lost less when he missed due to winning the side pot. Yes, if he hits his flush you would have lost more if you re-raised before the river but your money would have gone in good which is the only aspect you can control. Just my thoughts and analysis for what it’s worth….. never mind, I rewatched it and I now see the the all-in raise wasn’t enough to re-open the pot to you.

      I like your logic, was thinking the same thing wishing I could jam!

      Definitely jam if you put the caller in FD otherwise you give him a awesome price to draw and you make the mistake on this st not him - loving your vlog

      @@dustyatherton3430wasn’t able to jam since the raise was only for $27 more!

    I agree with your comment about the JJ hand. raising to $30 might have been a little better. Given the number of limpers and the early position. villian limping QQ is mind boggling. good reads on the 99 hand.

    I also play at Stones and Capitol for reference and I feel like your opening sizing is kinda small. Especially for Capitol . A Lot of calling stations. I know you're trying to be balanced but 1/2 and 1/3 you should play more exploitive. .

    Pretty impressive how you folded pocket Aces both times, hard to do in real time!

    What do you mean by main game? Better players?

    • @NorCal_Poker
      @NorCal_Poker  Před měsícem +1

      The first table is considered the “main game.” Second table to open is a “must move.” So if someone leaves or busts from the main game, one person from the must move table has to join

    When you turn quads i think jam is better any J Q 7 10 probably gonna kill your action. The 8 is a good card for the three better reduces you having a set or two pair hed never fold an overpair there.

      I see your point. Having quads definitely shocked me in the moment!

    On the quads hand think about betting the same amount not less - same amount is so fishy and makes me want to bluff someone or raise mid hands for value especially vs a aggro player think about that option in the future

    I know JJ is a hard hand to play. I think if I was playing them, I would start over betting them before the flop. I think this would force weaker hands out quicker pre flop. I hate to see people improve their hands on the floor or other streets. Make them earn it.

    That lady that beat you two hands is very tight. She usually have the goods when she bets. I think she's the older lady with blonde hear with a pretty thick accent.

    You need to learn to let your opponents show their cards especially when they are supposed to show first. You’re making a vlog, we want to know what they had. The only time to be nice is when they say you’re good after a call.

    • @NorCal_Poker
      @NorCal_Poker  Před 2 měsíci +3

      Fair point. I definitely try to get as much info as possible for the vlog like showing my Aces against 33 knowing she’d show if I did that. Or asking players what they had, but I have to play with these players on a weekly basis so I don’t want to slow roll them & have a bad reputation when I have the nuts.
