Crops A-Plenty! LM7 is About to POP 😂 - Little Miami Conservancy: Baker, Bette, LM5, LM6, LM7 (4/19)

- Lots of food to be enjoyed today, and that pantry was holding some impressive (& fresh) fish!! All three eaglets were nursing major crops - even LM7, by end of day! The opening clip is I believe LM5 (?) & I have to admit - I'm surprised s/he could even move at that point! 😂
Extended feeding clip starting around 4:17, showing once again that LM7 has a strategy to feeding that works. It is getting him/her fed, and also avoiding strife with the elder eaglets who seem to be becoming a bit less snarky toward their littlest sib every day. Between smart strategy, confidence, and courage (with attentive, experienced parents overseeing it all), LM7 does a pretty good job of keeping up and getting their needs met. We should see a good growth spurt in the coming days, I believe. That will help LM7 start to get a bit caught up. If we have more feedings like this as well, it can only lead to good things!

What a wonderful mom 💕 making sure they all get fed, especially the little one. And for protecting the little one from the older sibling during the feeding. Good parents makes the difference on all surviving.
