But they didn't get him just for the sake of having one. They rescued him they were fostering Cheddar who is a senior dog but then fell for him and decided to adopt him themselves. He behaves the same way to the lady who comes and clean their house every weekend.
The dog probably still loves them, just not as much 😂

Honestly I've had a few goldens and they just LOVE people. Regardless of whether you're their "favorite" they'll gladly play and cuddle with you! Goldens are some of the best dogs!

Loved watching Cheddar! Ironically we had friends who had a Golden who's name was Ceasar but was nicknamed "Cheesey" and he did the same thing with my husband. When we went to their place or travelled together "Cheesey would be glued to my husband's side!❤

Possibly but this appears beyond being fond of elderly people... His affections are locked directly on her which according to the old video happened the instant they met and he never leaves her side.... It's pretty cool how dogs instantly know if someone's alright....

Oh my goodness, to have a wonderful neighbor like Cheddar. What joy it is to watch Goldies, they have zero enemies, it's as though everyone and everything will learn how to relish in the love that these hyper-sweet dogs exude. "Butter" was my son. We had 10 years together and releasing him from his painful body totally broke my heart. I still love and miss him so much.

I hear you. My best friend was Ella, a golden retriever. We were together for eight beautiful short years. She passed this November, and I don’t think there is a day that goes by I don’t think of her. A best friend is a best friend, no matter what part of the animal kingdom they’re from.

My Best Friend, Buddy, does this for me, too. When I have to leave the house and have a friend come stay with him, upon my return he MUST come outside to meet and greet me, except he doesn't "talk" at all.

Animals and babies will always alert you to a person's true character. They're both such innocent beings that they pick up on the good n the bad. How they act tells you all u need to know
I would like to think that, but my friend had a doxie that I babysat for 3 weeks while she was on a trip. He was crazy about my boyfriend, who turned out to be very controlling and jealous.
My cat would either hiss or cuddle with my friends when they would visit home. Turns out all the girls he hissed at stabbed in the back lol 😂

Dogs are the best judge of character. If your dog doesn't like someone, watch out for them. If your dog loves someone, it's good.

I had a golden that made it 14 years when I was a kid, they are great dogs and I will probably get one when I have a place with a yard.
Some dogs instantly connect with some humans. It's a shame it had to be their neighbor though. She seems sweet though, who wouldn't love such a caring human.

My cat moved in with my neighbor and came home to visit. Eventually he decided he missed us and came home to stay. He would also wait at the corner for the Mother's to be picking up their children from school. He would walk with them, get his loving from the kids and come home.
Awww. That's hilarious and also cute. Lots of love to give around! Also, double food sources. Cats are so smart.

Baba ... Or if Cheddar was a senior's pet, and was put in a shelter because that senior died ... then was adopted by another couple ... Cheddar might recognize the neighbor as his original owner (who passed away), which would explain everything (Cheddar's behavior). Or maybe a friend of Cheddar's original owner. If that makes sense.
