That breeder really should be investigated. Thatâs two puppies he took to be put down for the same deformity, and presumably from the same parents. Thereâs something weâre not seeing going on here, not to mention immediately taking them to be put down is not a good indicator.
@@chucku00 Not to mention great danes are one of the shortest lived dog breeds- about 5 years...
If the breeders were forced to pay for vet care, they would be a lot more discerning in the mating choice.
@@lorrainemarshall9476 Thatâs also a policy that I would agree with- like a warranty, but for pets. Since purposely giving them traits that make dogs suffer is basically animal abuse, they should be responsible for the ensuing consequences. In a world with this policy, pugs and French bulldogs would disappear practically overnight.
Sounds like they're into breeding purely for the money and have no sentiment about living creatures. And probably using unhealthy breeding practices.
@@chucku00 some less known big dog breeds like Leonbergers and working line Tibetan mastiffs have a longer life span
(Up to 12 years and up to 15)
There are many, many bad sides to social media, but the fact that this family was able to achieve such wonderful results - in the face of so much negativity - through social media connections is SO very encouraging.
I agree David ..such an amazing story
đ
@@David-Once Exactly!
What i don't understand is why did he adopt him, didn't forest already belong to the girl?
I agree, i dont do social media bcuz its usually a bunch of assholes, but if you get the right ppl in the right places, ppl can be amazing! Not to me but the right ppl can be great and restore my faith in humanity
It sounds to me thereâs a breeder out there that needs to be beat about the head and shoulders. Thank God there are people unlike the breeder who actually care for and love their animals and want to see them thrive regardless.
YES. That breeder is a total shitheel.
Breeder, is the word.
Bread is another thing.
@Alex Pokrandt does it matter why? Itâs all about money for those people. They are not decent human beings.
There are some honest breeders. These obviously made the same pair of parent dogs breed again. That was wrong. Very wrong.
Unfortunately sounds like that breeder is in Mexico. I donât think they have the same animal cruelty laws or puppy mill laws (Iâd be willing to bet theyâre a mill).
Who saw one of the dodos videos randomly and then completely got addicted?
Me đ
Same!
It's the only addiction I have that's good for me! :) God Bless & be with every animal on this earth to be cared for by loving & caring hands.
It's the adoption and foster dodo videos that drag me.

Isnât anybody going to thank that great Vet? the only one willing to operate on Forrest? Thank you Docđđ....way to go Forrest , new Dad and fosters!!â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
i know even when none of the other vets knew what to do đ€
Thank God for this wonderful vet and the whole story of this wonderful doggy and his family that our Creator Provided!!!đ„°â€â€â€â€
đđœâ€ïžâ€ïž
So lucky his dad is strong enough to carry him everywhere
Otherwise prolly have to be put down
@@920fpv There are always options. I once carried my geriatric dog with hip dysplasia up and down the stairs of my apartment in a specially made sling. It was like carrying a messenger bag/pocket book that weighed 60lbs. Weird but totally worth it for love!
The fact that so many people came together to do everything possible for Forest just gives me some light and hope in us as people, what a beautiful baby and amazing people, I wish him (and everyone) Truly the best
It's amazing how Forrest and Lumen found each other and how both got these deformities corrected against such great odds. A beautiful pair of dogs.
i do love that people can come together and help animals we have no reason to, but i can't help that at the back of my head, these 2 wonderful people and those that helped them, are ultimately cleaning up for 1 breeder's neglect and continued breeding despite knowing they would have to put down some puppies
@@cyrus147 And just WHY would that be bad? To get law enforcement in Mexico to enforce what ever laws there may be---is beyond hope. Not as if these great people have any control of what the breeder does.. ALL they can do is help the dogs he/she views as nothing but a product.
@@koniroyval9557 because it feels like the goodness of people are being taken advantage of, no? i 100% bet that this shelter will have more dogs with this condition because it's been proven that they will take the puppy and save it's life, removing all responsibility from the breeder. if i, as a breeder, know i can get 2-3 good sales on my stock and then the mutts can be pawned off on a shelter, it lets me know that i dont need to care about the lives of some of my dogs, because someone wil do it for me.
anyways, not here to argue, just here to complain that many good people in this world need to world together to fix 1 person's (ultimately) problem
I'm so glad that Forest got the medical attention he needed and that he has a sweet loving home. It's such a sweet heartfelt story that has happy ending to boot.
Am I the only one that thinks Forrest's ears are so cute? He's such a cutie! I'm so glad that a vet was found that could operate on him. Seeing such a cute and happy dog find a loving home and being surrounded by such good people is such a blessing. đ
i know ive never seen a great dane with such floppy ears đ€
Love the ears đ„°đ„°đ„°
I totally agree with every word you wrote. I love his ears and he is such a cutie. Amazing that his foster mom found the same vet and that Forrest is much better and has a loving daddy and home.
@@aandjintucsonazusa9490 it really is amazing and such a sweet story.
@@trishengard8388 Me too. So cute đ„°
Great Danes are gentle giants I have on myself and he is the best thing in the world
This was my favourite one yet out of like Iâve been watching this right five years â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Ever been chased by one while jogging?đ±
A barking pony chasing you is something you dont forget easily.
Still love em.
This could have also been a "Soul Mates" story, because each and every person and animal in this story were connected so well!
So many wonderful people came together to give Forrest the life he deserves. And it certainly helps that this big goofy and sweet dog was adopted by someone strong enough to carry him when needed! Wishing Tyler and Forrest many happy years and adventures together.đ
Adorable Forrest! The Veterinary school at OSU saved my Davis almost 20 years ago. Have you ever seen a 17 hands tall horse in a full body harness?
I went to Michigan State and they have a great Veterinary program and I'll always remember walking to class at 6:30 in the morning in the winter and it would be dark and you'd hear the "clop, clop, clop" of the horses from the Equine department being walked down the streets of campus. It was sort of surreal for a while because it was just an average campus but all of the sudden, "Horses!" It was something I always looked forward to if I had classes in the morning on that part of campus!
@@jona.scholt4362 I graduated MSU in 1990. It would have been amazing to see that, but I lived on the other side of campus in McDonel Hall đ
@@ElizabethT45 I lived in Case during freshman year and Holden during Sophomore year. I remember having classes in McDonel in their KIVA and booking it from those South campus dorms to get there! This would've been 2002-2004. The horses I remember were always south of Akers, not too far from McDonel. And when I saw them near Akers was when I was living in an apartment across from Brody on the Northwest extreme of campus, so it was a 30-40 minute bus ride to Akers for an early morning class in winter! Not the best scheduling on my part, but the horses made it worth it!

Not only did this dog find people who did what it took to get his feet operated on, then he found someone loved him so much that he adopted him. Itâs wonderful that his new owner is strong enough to carry him when he needs too. Just all around a win/win/win.
If you look hard enough, there's going to be that one vet that works miracles like the vet who treated Forrest and Lumen. Glad those two got their second chance at life!
This is an incredible story. One side wanted to be done with this little guys "issues", yet a whole world of better people chose otherwise. Tyler my man, you are a special dude. That bond between you two is amazing. Great Danes have such a short natural life, that I have no doubt you two will fulfill every single moment of happiness and love for each other !!
He doesn't need more years because he's already achieved perfection!
I'm so happy that sweetheart is with people who love him so much.
As soon as I heard Lumen's name I remembered her. Hers was such a story of hope and love â€ïž It was so lovely that he got to stay with her and her incredible mums during his time in Oregon.
That breeder should be banned from owning animals, especially from breeding them. The pups must come from the same mother and/or father (depends on which one carries the defective gene). Knowing what happened with Lumen, neither parent should have been breeding again!
Much as I obviously support Forrest's right to life (and he's clearly landed squarely on those poor paws with such love around him), I don't believe he should have been conceived in the first place. I say this as someone with disabilities, some of which have genetic components. There are days when I wish _I_ had never been conceived. But at least I understand what's wrong with me.
Please understand that all my anger is aimed at the breeder, not the parent dogs, and certainly not the pups or anyone who has anything to do with them! For them, I only have love and respect. As for Tyler, I'd say that he's a keeper! What a lovely guy, and he and Forrest are clearly made for each other đ
You are very strong and wonderful! I lot 5 babies boys at 51/2 months of pregnancies and my two daughters are disabled, like me. But when i had my babies, i seemed healthy and doctors said that only the boys had problems. My first daughter had two orphaned diseases, it was the first attempt to search genetic defects and they found nothing. I was so relieved! But they became more disabled with age and doctors discovered these genetic illness only since a few years. There are no treatments. I love my daughters and canât forget my babies boys. I would not yet have disabled children and was considered as strange at the time to be in the first to have family DNA test. I am now 66, bedridden at home with palliative care and my two daughters in wheelchairs. Life is sometimes unpredictable. Be blessed.
I too remembered Lumen immediately.
Beautifully said..... I total got what you were saying right off. Once he was born he deserved every chance, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. But it sounds like they were both born in Mexico, and I'd bet money there aren't any animal welfare laws to do exactly as you said, as they aren't in way too many countries around the world. As beautiful as all dogs are to me, the moms aren't given a choice in the matter. I usually refer to those types of breeders as greeders, because they are simply greedy breeders. And I know exactly what you mean about disabilities.... My oldest brother, my father and I all have various degrees of fused spines, from the bottom of it to the top. And soon I will require a neck fusion as well. I'm glad I was born because of my sons, and the 2 dogs I've had in my life so far. But yes I question if there isn't some sort of genetic thing that brought it about. But I also say it could be a whole lot worse. I pray for you to have more good days than bad.... Because I do know how hard that is and how special those "good" days can be..... Much respect......
AMEN Mandy B well said, I think we are all with you on this đâ€ïžđ
@Rene RunningBear No one cares about the person who brought Forrest (and Lumen) to the vet. We care about the people who let two dogs breed when theyâd already had a puppy with obvious genetic defects-probably dogs that were far too closely related.
Agree about Breeder, and or people who brutalize animals. The Rescue part is beautiful. But, these demented People need to be put on notice!!! Or this kind off thing just goes on, and on.!!! Call out to wonderful Vet. For you , well , we all have some time a Cross to bear. I lost a son to Cancer age 35, beautiful and talented. You sound like a beautiful person, and I'm sure loved for your good â€ïž heart. God Bless.đșđžđ©đ°đ

What a perfect name and little boy he is. You are a Saint for fostering and caring for this precious fur baby! â€ïž
In this world of cruelty, I see this videoes to realise that there are still people who has soft heart for others...
Such a wise and beautiful comment. So very true and thank you for your insight đ€â€
The "will & affection " is truly amazing with everyone involved !!
Great story. Like the lady said: "It takes a village." It just shows you what is possible when you get the right people together. They can overcome the impossible.
Such a beautiful dog .
And owner. I just love how close he got with this puppy!
OkâŠI sometimes cry watching these videos, but I had to rewind several times, cause I cried all the way thru. First sad tears, then happy tears. Gosh cannot believe the numbers of people involved with saving this beautiful dog! And that he ended up with THE BEST DAD ever! Like really a perfect match.
Great Danes are hands down the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dogs ever. My Duncan was my angel.
I'm so thrilled with the recovery and happy adoption. What gets me frustrated these stories is what happened with the people who caused the abuse and/or neglect so it doesn't happen again? Obviously there may be an issue with the breeders with having this outcome with 2 puppies of different litters. Have they been investigated or the vet working with them to prevent this in the future? Thank goodness the original vet found alternatives rather than euthanasia per breeder request. Anyone else get upset that this isn't being addressed in the videos? I want to know if justice was served!!
đ€§ aww he's such a gorgeous big boy, bless you all for helping him, get better and to get his forever home, great work done by all. Another great video thanks đđ
7:08...he's just living the life of being an adorable puppy đ
Well he's a fit, strong, playful personality and tall guy. So they all help to help carry and interact with Forest.
You should have named him Clifford.

This was definitely a special dog rescue and adoption!! THANK YOU for giving this BEAUTIFUL âBABYâ boy a chance! And THANK YOU Tyler, for TAKING the chance and adopting him. It takes SPECIAL people to do GREAT AND WONDERFUL THINGS that MOST people wouldnât. I believe that this was meant to happen, and MANY BLESSINGS TO ALL the people that have helped and made this happen! YOUâRE ALL ANGELS đŒ in my book!!
Great team work humans! This man who adopted is not only humble, let's be honest he's a big man, capable of carrying around a Great Dane puppy who's only getting larger by the day. How exciting to find a soft sandy surface for Forrest to successfully Run! Gonna have a great life now!
Love and respect to all who participated in Forrestâs recovery â€ïž
I got a 2.3 pound, 13 week old Black Lab mix. It's easier to say what wasn't wrong with him. After many, many months and many, many dollars, he was all in one piece. It was the best thing I ever did in my life, because he was the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Rescuing an animal with issues isn't hard, fixing them is a little hard, but what you get in return is something money can't buy. 10/10 would highly recommend!!
This is one of those special rescue stories that will reduce you to tears...From happiness...God bless all the people in the world who rescue & care so very, very much about animals in need...Such an especially sweet & heartwarming story....
My heart melted when she said they named him Forest. I'm super happy that social media was able to help the way it did! What a great ending to a sweet story!
It's so wonderful to see many people put in their hearts and souls to help support this little guy. đ So much hope and lights still excited around the world. đ„° Very happy for Forest to be back with his amazing furmom and even got an amazing furdad for himself! đ

Ahhhhh!!!! I love Forrest!! Iâve been following him on IG since the beginning. He is a precious boy â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž
What is his IG channel please?
I know the feeling when people come together. I have done rescues and so many adoption and stories like this BRINGS ME HAPPY TEARS ALL THE TIME. LOVE â€ïž TO THE NEW OWNER OF THIS NEW FUR BABY. BLESSINGS !!
This made me smile!! Love his big floppy ears!! Glad he got the help he needed!!
Great Dane's are just fantastic, they don't realise their size. I have my 3rd rescue Dane, Jackson, he came to me at 3 years old with no training, socialisation or lead training. He was toilet trained and believe me that was a major bonus!! They tend to bond with the person that's with them the most and they're just couch potato's most of the time. Forest is just beautiful and so blessed to have been rescued by these incredible people who just want the best for him. My Jackson weighs 80kg now but he was only 65kg when he came to me. He's a big lad and I can see Forest is going to be the same. Jackson will be 7 this year and I love him so much, just like Tyler loves Forest. I wish them both a long and happy life together with love and blessings from Scotland.
Forest will have a wonderful life with his dedicated daddy đ
Thank you everyone for fighting to save little darling Forest.
Forest is so lucky to have so many people that care about him and help him to live his life to the fullestđ
& they to, so lucky to be blessed with him! I wish all hands that come in contact with an Animal of any kind, would be so loving & caring.
If all dogs go to heaven, then I believe for an absolute certainty that their heaven is an off leash beach. Nowhere on earth have I seen a pup happier.
Please note. This is not possible without the donations of the online community and dedicated helpers willing to give their time and energy to saving a precious life. Big thanks to everyone involved in giving animals another chance at a wonderful life!
Hang in there Forrest. Just remember, God don't make no junk... Good Luck Buddy... We all love you & wish you the best....
Such a beautiful story! Very glad that Forrest came to a 360! If it wasnât for the foster parents, he wouldnât be here right now! I hope those vets that complained & tried to just put him down, watch this video! Way to go Forrest đđŸđŸđ¶đ
You are special how you and Forrest love each other and how much you've helped him too. Very special you are.
I love you all! Thank you for your kindness and generosity!!!!
What a WONDERFUL group of humans Forrest has !!
This just melted my heart. And the fact that Forrest got to find his sister. Wow. And everyone who came together for him. Itâs just amazing of all the wonderful humans out there. The fact that forest was not only able to get paws fixed and adopted is pretty special. Go live your best life Forrest!
If you've never had Dane then you just don't get it. We have 2 of them and want more!!! They're addictive. God bless you!!!
I hope the 3 of them are one big happy family still.
That is such a AWESOME story!! I'm so grateful that we still hah he people in the world that will go above and beyond for special needs animals â€đ„°
I'll never understand why breeders that have these animals and the one's with deformities they will just up and make a choice to go put them down like they're nothing. It sickens me. Just to be honest here it is because they can't make money off of a animal that has a deformity. They have know use for it anymore. For one I think that all of them who do this should have their license taken away to be able to breed. Especially if all they're going to do is put down the animals that don't meet their criteria. It is so WRONG to do that and it will never be okay to do that in my mind. And I wish these vets would step up and say no we aren't going to put down these animals that you all decided to breed just to sell them for money. I just thank God that they're are people in this world like you all who will step up and say." Know I won't let this happen. And I'm going to take this animal and do whatever I can for it to be able to have a life and a happy healthy life of love. Those people who do that have my upmost respect, gratitude, and appreciation they are my Heroes to me. So thank you and thank you for sharing this story..
I am outraged that they are still allowed to be a breeder and sell the rest of these puppies! All their dogs should be SPAYED and NEUTERED especially when they are producing puppies with such deformities.
I agree! Someone knows who they are, or can find out. They will keep producing dogs like this until they're stopped!
THERE IS NO LICENSE NECESSARY TO BREED DOGS ( at least in US)Any schmo can call themselves a breeder if they can acquire a male and female. Itâs disgusting and infuriating and I dream of the day that standards would be implemented. Puppy mills are disgusting breeders and they get away with vile vile conditions and are mostly prosperous. Beyond sad.
Probably inbreeding!
They talked about the adoption party for like 1 second but the fact that somebody wanted to put this baby down, and now people making a party just for him.... it made me emotional...
He deserves the best life and all the love in the world â€
Tiny baby Forrest has grown sooo fast and strong~ lovely~đ
Thank you for sharing this video~đ€
What an amazing story.
Wouldnât it be wonderful if there were laws in place that breeders could not euthanize due to deformities and they had to pay to have them corrected. I bet breeders would think twice before they used these poor dogs as cash cows!
With all the heartache in the World I'm grateful for everyone involved in these videos.
I'm welling up out of joy for Forrest.
One of the most lovable stories Iâve ever seen. I love for puppies to bite my ears and fingers, because I know they are loving it.
These damn breeders have to be stopped. They're taking no responsibilities about what they're doing to poor dogs.
breeding should be banned
To all the beautiful people who were involved in this beautiful dog forest thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving him a second chance in life and as they say life is like a box of chocolates you donât know what youâre going to get until you open it absolutely bloody brilliant youâre all angels in my eyes thank you stay safe and take care love Sara x
