OMG WEYLIE!! The BCD soup is NOT VEGETARIAN!! I am a vegetarian and I asked the lady if the SOUP BASE is vegetarian and she said NO. The soup base is still made from beef!!! Even the "vegetarian" sign on the menu where there is no meat in it is not actually vegetarian because the soup itself is brewed from beef bones!!!
You have to ask for the vegetarian soup base which is not as murky and tastes NOTHING like their tofu soup!! :(((
Some places will make it with just water as a base for you if you're vegetarian as well. I remember the waitress offered to have it made that way when my mom asked about the soup base because she's vegetarian too (can't remember if this was at BCD or somewhere else). It might have to do with the fact that we're Korean though that she offered but it doesn't hurt to ask anyways. Of course it probably won't taste the same, but my mom said it tasted fine to her so I guess it just depends on how well they season it.

Han Vu She's pescetarian for convenience at the moment. She's working her way to vegan, I believe.
