      @@TechMadeEzy Hi there, I have been so busy getting ready for the COLD winter. Right now it is 32° with high today 45. Rain and wind to keep one inside. I did call EGO about my mower ratcheting noise and ended up with my sending a recording for them to hear and get back to me on. I haven't heard from them yet, so will have to contact them again when I find time. If I had your email address, I could send you the horrible noise it makes when free wheel pushing in the garage.
      I finally am finding time to use my new green-works pole trimmer. Hope it works?

    I just bought this same trimmer a couple of days ago, and was wondering about the need to use the guard. I notice that NONE of the professional lawn services use guards on their trimmers. Apparently the risk/reward is worth it for them. I understand that a guard can minimize shooting debris, but what is the advantage of not using the guard? Thanks! I love all your videos, which helped me to decide to also purchase the new 21” XP mower and the 650cfm blower.

    • @TechMadeEzy
      @TechMadeEzy  Před 3 lety

      Hi Danny just make sure you wear eye protection and gloves if you’re not gonna use the guard.
      Not using the guard for me makes using the trimmer to be more flexible and it allows me to get onto tight spots for a better cut.

      @@TechMadeEzy - I haven’t used it yet. My brother’s coming over to buy all my Husqvarna lawn equipment first thing in the morning, and then I’ll have a place to store the new gear. My question wasn’t because I bump too much string out of the spool, it had to do with ensuring the string coming out of both sides was the same length, hence balanced. Or is that not an issue? Thanks again!

    • @TechMadeEzy
      @TechMadeEzy  Před 3 lety +1

      When you feed it for the first time you want to feed it evenly and then push the button so it actually sucks at all in correctly. When you first get it new in the box the string should already be installed so that shouldn’t be an issue.
      When I used it and I use the bump I didn’t really get too much coming out so wasn’t an issue for me.
