- My 2016 Toyota Camry does not have Apple Carplay and it's annoying!! I'm gonna try out a new option, a module from CarABC that will allow me to add Carplay to a stock Toyota Camry stereo! Let's get started!!

I get mine tomorrow, I’m so excited
Nice video! where did you end up sticking the usb out of?
I don’t use the usb so I just left it behind the dash
Hi, I have seen your other videos of installing the roadanvi stereo and the dadaísta I have a 2015 Camry and was wondering out of all the ones you have installed which one do you find better?
I like the Dasaita better. The UI is better looking and easier to navigate. That’s really the only difference I’ve seen. Thanks for watching!
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Is the backup camera working? What about the steering wheel buttons?
Yes, both work.
Would the 2014 year work? They are super similar!
Yes, this will work with a 2014 Camry.
Hi, thinking about getting this for my 2016 Camry. With this installed can i still use FM radio?
Yes, you can still use the rest of your stock radio as usual.
I just installed this on my car with the help of your video. I have a Toyota camry 2015 hybrid. The issue I am facing is when I start the car my back up camera comes on in park and reverse. It does away when I am in drive. I don't know what is the issue.
Double check your dip switch settings. Use the settings shown in the manual not the ones I used. If that doesn’t fix it, unhook your battery for about 10 minutes and hook it back up.
hey, you fixed that issue? have the same problem in Yaris 2014
hi, is it compatible with the 2016 Camry xse? thanks
It should work, however if you click on the link in the description and scroll through the pictures of the product there is a comparability list. Check the list to make sure you have the correct stock radio for this.
Just installed mine on a 2016 Camry…identical to yours in the video. My display is moved 1/8th of an inch to the driver side when looking at it, just enough to cut off the first digit of the time. Any idea of a fix?
Hmmm, that’s odd. I’d contact the manufacturer.
you can solve this easily. go to the device setting , then click Car settings, then resolution, then instead of the standar 670*470, select the ‘rav 4 left offset’, restart your car and it should be fixed
Does this work for 2014? Everything look very much similar to yours though
Yes, if you click the link in the description to the Amazon listing, it says 2014.
How did you wire the USB cable to use it with the phone? Do you have 2 USB jacks now?
Yes there is the stock USB plug and a new USB cable that plugs into the module. I drilled a hole in the top of the pocket and ran the cable through it. The cable stays stuffed inside the pocket.
How is this working for you so far? Pros or cons?
Works great! Pro- it’s cheaper than replacing the stock stereo. Con- the stock stereo screen is not that great.
The stock screen in my camry has some calibration issues. Do you think this thing would fix that?
I doubt it, this just replaces the stock UI with the Apple CarPlay UI. Issues like you are describing are usually in the screen itself. Thanks for watching!
So I do have a 2016 Camry SE special edition with the larger factory radio, will it still work?
If you click the link in the description to the adapter on Amazon and scroll through the pictures there’s one that shows the stock stereos this will work with. 😉
So I got the product you got and had a issue with it so I took it out and when I reconnected everything back in as oem the backup camera didn’t work, now it only works when this product is plugged up, any ideas why it’s doing that
Not sure, but try unhooking your battery for about 10 minutes and see if that helps
@@ProjectDIY2 okay I’m trying that now.
@@ProjectDIY2 omg thank you, it worked👍😆😆
Does this work with 2016 Camry hybrid ?
I’m pretty sure it does, but click the link in the description to check out the Amazon listing to make sure.
Can you get that to work on my 2011?
Lol I don’t think so. You can install this though: amzn.to/3Phg94C
Is it available for Camry 2012?
I don’t think so
Can you use original usb port
Yes, there is a connector that connects to the harness for the original usb port.
You think I can do this on my 2013 camry
Sorry, this won’t work for a 2013. You would need to replace the whole stereo with something like this: amzn.to/3NRQk8L
I don’t get Wi-Fi. Does CarPlay work through phone’s data?
Yes
How's this unit holding up?
It’s holding up good
Does it work for Toyota Camry 2017?
Yes if you have the correct stick radio installed. Click the Amazon link in the description, scroll through the pictures and there is one that shows the compatibility list.
@@ProjectDIY2 another question, is the sound quality still good using that adapter?
Sounds the same as before, no change.
Did AirPlay worked for you you
Sorry I didn’t try Airplay
Lol
